Please describe your company and your position there.

I am currently working as a Simulation Superintendent at TUPRAS (the biggest refinery in Turkey) and responsible for digitalization and optimization projects under Headquarters. TUPRAS has 4 refineries, storage and logistics facilities at different locations in Turkey.

For what projects/services did your company hire Ranna Digital Works, and what were your goals?

We had a serious problem about engineering calculations done in TUPRAS previously, because they have done via unstandardized methods and manual entries. As a result, we hired Ranna to develop an engineering calculation software from one of our in-house tools.

Our goals are to develop a cloud-based program with user friendly interface.

How did you select Ranna Digital Works and what were the deciding factors?

We developed a cloud-based engineering software with Ranna from our in-house program. By this way, engineering calculations could be done easily, correctly and hardware-free system via our new user-friendly cloud based software.

There are 3 people in the project team, including a project manager and 2 senior developers. We developed the project via agile mindset.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We were implemented all engineering calculations which was the hardest phase of the project, successfully into the program. Now, we have a simulation tool which enables to make all engineering calculations in 100% correction.

The project management was great, especially compared to other vendors we have worked with. They regularly met deadlines and we never had unexpected turnovers. We communicated via Teams at least once in every week.

We are also planning to work for other projects in future.

We've direct access to the whole team, which has made it easier to communicate our ideas.
