We have dialog every day. We use Skype dialog and i got update status for progress. I have asked about this and it works very good.

They've got a solution to all problems I give to them. They have not stopped up at anything. I can ask and they deliver. They also found good design and also other solution that can work better than my solution.

All work fine. We have dialog both way if something is not clear or undefined.

Honestly, the final product is not launched. However, I have got a pool of beta testers who really enjoyed the improvements.

They worked on their local server and would send me screenshots or videos to show progress or ask questions. Once the work was ready for direct testing, they would upload it on an online server so that I could run all tests and robustness proof.

They're easy to talk to, responsive, and are able to keep calm in moments of stress. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not yet which I feel comfortable to say.

I’m the marketing manager of a gas cylinders supply company. We supply high-pressure gas cylinders and cryogenics, as well as bulk tanks. We offer remote monitoring of our bulk tanks with telemetry, and provide other services, such as cylinder re-qualification and cryogenic repair services.

What challenge were you trying to address with Raindrops Infotech?

We had a mobile app that was developed ten years ago. It came to a point where it was very neglected and no developers were able to work on it due to its archaic technology. 

The app remained on the Apple Store; however, it was dropped from the Google Play Store. It was non-functioning in certain areas and the product information in the app was severely outdated.

We needed to hire someone to come in and not necessarily reinvent the app, but update it, give it a new interface, and provide me the ability to access an admin portal to manipulate the product database so that I could keep the information current.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The app had very old code that was written in some type of defunct formatting, so it wasn’t going to be usable. Raindrops Infotech rewrote the code using Flutter, which from what I understand, is a Google-based technology that works in both the iOS and Android platforms.

We didn’t really need to upgrade it with new features, we just wanted to have what was basically put in place many years ago and update it with a new interface. The colors, graphics, and functionality were greatly improved.

The app has three main areas: a gas converter, a unit converter, and our product information. The product info was in the old app too, however, it was embedded in the code. I needed the ability to access that data online in order to make updates in real-time. Raindrops built an entire online database portal of the product information as well as the gas and unit calculations. This made my life a lot easier!

I worked with Bharat (Business Director & Project Manager) and Basit (Business Manager).

How did you come to work with Raindrops Infotech?

I had worked with Bharat a number of years ago when I was in an advertising agency. We found him through a freelance website called Elance, which is now known as Upwork. I knew Bharat had the capability of doing a website, so I contacted him with the idea of helping us with a mobile app and he took the challenge.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from June 2020 to January 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The product in general is great! We’re very pleased with how our new app turned out and it's exactly what we were asking for. We wanted it completely updated but most importantly, I wanted to have the capability to make revisions to product information without having to hire a developer every time.

How did Raindrops Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

They faced every single challenge we gave them head-on and ensured they were on time to the best of their ability. If I asked them for something, they would do it. They have much integrity, professionalism, and honesty on their part. They’re very loyal in making sure the product is to the satisfaction of the customer.

We mainly communicated through email. The only difficulties that surfaced were time zone differences (being halfway around the world from each other) and a few instances of miscommunication.

Originally, the project was quoted to be completed in a couple of months (which I think was entirely possible), however, our project was extended a few more months beyond that. When you look at it from the viewpoint of being able to hit deadlines because of the time zone differences, that alone is a challenge for both parties. They would ask me for certain information which I couldn't always get to them in a timely manner, and vice versa. 

In terms of miscommunication, I think those came mainly from being limited to email communication and our difference in native languages. At times I had to reemphasize certain points I was making and reiterate specific requests in order to get my point across more clearly - which caused some friction for both sides. However, I think these things are something that both sides need to understand, expect, and work through going into a project.

Despite those minor challenges though, Raindrops was a great pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

What did you find most impressive about them?

Raindrops has a great deal of integrity, and they’re very proud of being able to satisfy the customer to the best of their abilities. They’re very honest - I like that about them - if there were certain challenges they faced, they made sure to find the right resources in order to make those things happen. They also stayed within the budget we set at the onset of the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

For areas of improvement, I would recommend that they give more attention to details with testing protocols and procedures.

During the development phase of the project, I had experienced many broken functionalities of the database portal that ended up being a coding problem. When I attempted to explain my experiences, I asked them to perform operations and procedures "as if they were me" but it was difficult for them to understand exactly what was happening and at times dismissed my concerns. Even though I found it frustrating to repeat myself, in the end, we worked through the problems and the issues were solved.

They have given me the ability to hire content creators world wide. It’s enabled sales to go up by 80%. I’ve been able to hire new employees and my employee Retention rate is 100%

The Project management was stellar. They communicated with me daily sometimes multiple times a day. I was impressed how much they kept me in the loop and how fast they’d communicate with me to answer any Query or concern I had.

The first phase of the project was of 45 to 55 business days and the team Raindrops Infotech was responsible for template designing and development.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We are nontechnical people we are basically, so for us is to giving them API details and let them give free hand to implement it with a local payment gateway which is of AXIS Bank. So I always come up with my ideas on paper and these guys was responsible to convert them into the technical aspect, so yes they did it well, soon we will start the second phase of this project.

They offered a timely response to any of our queries, and their proactiveness stood out, they always help us to shape our ideas.

See improvement is never-ending process although, for people like us (nontechnical guys) this team is a boon, only recommendation is to increase the working staff so that we will have the availability of two SR. developers dedicated to our next phase.

Our first project together was a custom payment gateway system for WordPress. They helped me modify the core of a Stripe plugin and another payment gateway. They've done critical work and managed to modify the plugin and make it work for warehouses. Instead of having only one account in your Stripe account, you can add as many accounts as you want, which we could redirect based on your IP location of the customer. That was my first project with them, and I was able to outload and outsource other projects with them. We typically work on each project for about 1-2 months.

We're very satisfied with what they've been able to do and find their work useful. It's been a great collaboration. They do everything they can to make sure you and your clients are happy as a first priority. It's not the case of too many providers, unfortunately. They're extremely customer-oriented, and will never let you down, even in an emergency where there's not a lot of notice. It's really rare to find such a good, trustworthy team.

If you have WordPress work to outsource or any web project for that matter, they're a perfect freelance option. They're extremely comfortable to work with.

If they're given very clear and directed tasks, they can accomplish everything on budget. Typically, if things aren’t clear they need to be worked on again, but it's not like that's directly their fault.

In 90% of the projects, they've delivered on time. In the past, we've met daily for some projects and communicated via email or Skype very easily.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We've had critical sites that have been hacked, where the clients' entire revenue stream depended on that site, and they've worked diligently to get it up and running again. One time a client’s site went down around Christmas and the team worked non-stop for six days to get it up, but also fix all of the hacked pages and get it going again. At times, it was almost like they were working 20-hour days. When it's truly critical, they've always come through.

At times it seems like they lack initiative, but the team has been trained to meet the standards I've set after working together for so long.

Raindrops had worked with the tracking API for Twitch before, and so they worked with us to develop a game center where we could allow our community to be displayed on our own platform through their Twitch accounts.

The reason I work exclusively with their studio is that all of the work comes back exactly the way it was shown to them in the brief. We have meetings with them all the time, and they will ask any questions they have until they completely understand the specs and mockups that we are targeting that week. They’ll do testing, bug fixing, and anything else they need to give us a good product, so overall the relationship is very good.

Raindrops Infotech is incredibly committed to our success as a company. The biggest selling point, for me, is that they will come up with a solution for anything I request from them. Even if it’s out of their comfort zone in terms of development, they are always willing to take on a challenge.

The only difficulty I’ve had with them is in balancing the different time zones, and they’ve even done a good job of helping meet in the middle there, so I don’t really think that there’s anything they could improve.

The best thing to do is to make sure you spec everything as precisely as possible so that once you get into meetings with them, all of the core requirements are very clear.

I have worked with many services in the past but none have been able to deliver the quality of work that I have received from Raindrops. Also, their customer service is world class. I am always able to discuss things with my project manager on a daily basis and can also schedule meetings with the team when needed.

I have yet to find any issues in working with Raindrops and I would highly recommend their service to anyone.
