What challenge were you trying to address with Pure Bold?

We needed help with e-commerce website design and development. Our goals were to develop a marketing strategy to capture our target audience and provide online access to information about our company.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pure Bold has designed and developed our e-commerce website. We started with a discovery phase where they asked me various questions to get insight into what I was looking for. They sent me some documents to fill out, giving them a more detailed understanding of what I was trying to achieve. Then, they took that information and came up with a marketing strategy that would be most suited to my target audience.

For phase one, the website is now live. The next step is to add testimonials and e-commerce through Shopify. The marketing strategy focuses on identifying the opportunity, how to reach it, and what messages we need to send in the marketplace.

I’ve worked with 3–4 people from their team, including Bevan, Tina, Richard, and Sam.

A friend referred me to Pure Bold. I knew they had been in the industry for about 20 years, so they obviously knew what they were doing.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2025, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’ve shared the website with almost 30 people and asked them to give me feedback on things they didn’t like about the site or found confusing. The general consensus is that everyone is impressed with the site and the strategy.

How did Pure Bold perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communication is excellent. Before we went live, there were a couple of things I wanted to change. I told them to do it at their next convenience, and the next thing I knew, it was already done. We primarily communicate via email and use Microsoft Teams.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Pure Bold seeks to understand what the customer wants to achieve and tailors a solution to the budget. They’re very good at understanding what the customer is looking for. Even if the customer doesn’t know what they’re looking for, they can give guidance on what would be successful for the customer.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

If someone is looking for marketing solutions, they should have a conversation with Pure Bold because it will give them clarity. There’s significant value in any organization having a conversation with them.

I’m the director and owner of an electrical and lighting company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Pure Bold?

I wanted to get more of a digital presence from a strategic standpoint to promote my business more. We didn’t have much online leads coming in, particularly free ones or low cost. So we needed assistance regarding website development.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Pure Bold has helped us develop our website from scratch, assisted us with some branding work, and offered me a payment plan so that I can manage my business's cash flow.

They built a copy document first and asked me to look through it. I helped them identify services and gave them some more information on services that I offer or could offer in the future. We did the copy document first, and it got approved. Then, the website went out for design, and we provided feedback.

So far, they have completed the whole website. I had some slight branding, but they've also done some brand positioning. In fact, we already have our color and logo, so they have helped with our positioning and language.

Now, they do the website maintenance. I pay them a monthly fee.

What is the team composition?

I have mainly worked with Tina and Bevan, Pure Bold's founders, and Lachlan, the project lead.

How did you come to work with Pure Bold?

Pure Bold was referred to me. I met Tina and Bevan through a networking event. We started with a sit-down meeting with Tina. She asked me about my business, what electrical means to me, what customer service means to me, and what results I was going for.

She sent me through all that and explained it, giving me some time to think about it before we had our meeting. It went for pretty much as long as I needed it — I think it was nearly two hours.

We continued on and had some more face-to-face meetings with Tina and Bevan. They sent me a proposal for the website, and I signed it. 

How much have you invested with them?

The total project cost has been $20,000 AUD. It might be a couple hundred dollars more than that for some of the service and posting fees.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2024, and it’s still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is already live, and it’s bringing new customers to me. I’ve got a customer who has spent $3,000 AUD already, and that’s really good for me. The flexibility the site provides us has been very good.

We’ve had 4–5 inquiries through the website. It's worth noting that we haven’t even started doing serious optimization campaigns yet. Pure Bold has optimized the site for SEO, and it definitely exceeds expectations.

How did Pure Bold perform from a project management standpoint?

Initially, Pure Bold gave me a very upfront timeline with a spreadsheet with a chart of highlighted boxes where we should be at any given month. So far, they have hit those deadlines exactly.

They haven't really involved me too much in the nitty-gritty. They just give me updates and tell me what they need from me. We communicate through email.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I want to mention Tina and Bevan, the husband and wife duo. They're definitely experts at what they do.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Now that I’m working with Pure Bold, I feel very welcome and trustworthy of them. It’s a very personal service and doesn’t feel like just an account.

They hit every target, and they hit the timeline exactly. They deliver everything as expected — they’re predictable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there isn’t anything. The delivery time has been great.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you return all the documents. If they ask you for something, make sure you return it quickly and on time. Pure Bold works very fast, and if you’re slow in sending something back or approving something, the project is just going to take longer.

Project was completed when we expected with great results. They made amendments as request with not much time to wait. The whole process was smooth. When it was needed, we could call and discuss on the phone when otherwise we communicate on emails.

Initial meeting was done in person close to our location. That was important as we like to be explained scopes of job in details plus we were very busy setting up the store. Getting through informations in virtual meeting to establish concept of business was also done with no rush and with our needs in mind. Overall, they were professional and approachable.

The pricing to design and create our website could have been cheaper for the functionality we need as just a grocery store.
