Prolific's innovative use of AI agents is extremely helpful. Whereas other organizations may utilize LLMs to breakdown core issues or refine strategy, Prolific has build customized AI agents with specific skills that actually automate most of the mundane tasks that normally bog down teams. We are now much more able to think at higher echelons with Prolific than we were before engaging.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Prolific Digital could have done differently?

Prolific could benefit from viewing all project feedback, from all team members, with the same importance. Non-profit spaces such as APH value input from all levels of contributors, which may not always be the case with for-profit ventures, where bigger decision makers hold more sway.

How did Prolific Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Prolific Digital goes above and beyond to deliver on time and within budget. We use Notion for project management, and our project manager does weekly check-ins to ensure everyone is on the same page. They’ve also used Figma and Google Suite.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prolific Digital's biggest strength is their SEO optimization knowledge. They also have a partner for web accessibility, and they walk the talk of their values.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there's nothing they need to improve.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Finding talented, creative people who also have the know-how for tech and SEO is difficult, and Prolific Digital is one of those agencies. My advice is to lean into their branding advice and utilize their expertise in all the different areas of website design and development.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prolific Digital?

We previously had a Squarespace website that wasn’t as flashy as a lot of the other websites we saw. We felt the need to have a website with a wow factor, especially if we were looking for donations or if anyone was trying to find more information about us.

We work with employers and job seekers, so we have four different audiences: job seekers, employers, stakeholders, and lawmakers. Therefore, we needed a versatile and good-looking website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prolific Digital has provided us with rebranding services, including web design, web development, logos, and color schemes. Initially, we had a discovery phase where they asked us questions. We had already described what we wanted in the RFP, so we had a foundation for the discovery meetings.

After the discovery phase, we went into the development phase, where Prolific Digital provided us with wireframes and mock-ups of what we wanted. Then, we moved on to the design phase. We had a logo and a color palette, and they were tasked with using our colors.

The team has built the website on WordPress. One of the things they've helped us develop is a career map. On this map, users can type in their location, and it will show them our physical locations.

Prolific Digital has also offered us a maintenance plan and a maintenance retainer. The maintenance retainer includes everything in the maintenance plan, including basic updates and hosting. It also includes two-week sprints.

What is the team composition?

We were in contact with Ashley, who was the lead on our project, although I believe she no longer works for Prolific Digital. We've also been in contact with Chris.

How did you come to work with Prolific Digital?

We had to issue an RFP because we knew the contract amount was going to exceed our threshold. We advertised the RFP, and we knew of Prolific Digital. We received around 18–21 proposals from different companies willing to make a website for us. We went through an RFP grading process, and Prolific Digital scored the highest, so we chose them.

We've spent between $40,000–$60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around September 2024, and the new website went live in December 2024. However, they still offer maintenance services.

Prolific Digital has delivered a very good website. The website looks good, and the UX is good.

How did Prolific Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Prolific Digital has delivered on time and within our allocated budget. We primarily communicate via email. When the project started, we had a weekly Google Meet meeting. Prolific Digital has also used other platforms, such as Notion, Figma, and Slack. Every now and then, I get on Notion to update something.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility is impressive. Moreover, Chris is very nice and knowledgeable. He's always willing to go above and beyond his professional scope to keep helping me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they're fine.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about what you want and provide images and markups of exactly what you want. Prolific Digital will take their creative freedom, which they should, but sometimes that creative freedom will go the wrong way, and you’ll have to start from scratch. That will eat up the project time on both ends. Therefore, be descriptive and set some guardrails.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prolific Digital developed websites for two of our products. They built both websites from scratch because the old ones weren't working well. Prolific Digital worked on both projects simultaneously, but the scope of work was different for each. For one project, they did the build while being supported by our creative agency on the design. For the other website, they were doing both design and development work, though they still consulted with our creative agency.

We worked with four people from their team, including Chris, Ashley, and Jason, though I'm sure more teammates were involved.

How did you come to work with Prolific Digital?

They had worked on other projects at our company before and were recommended to us. Our integrated marketing communications manager was based in the US and had some experience with Prolific Digital. We initially hired them for one of the projects but then gave them the other website, too. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from December 2022–July 2024. Although they might still provide bits and pieces of work, the bulk of the project was completed in July 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t done a proper evaluation of the websites, but qualitatively, they’re seen as a much more premium experience with the brand. We’re now more proudly able to share the link to our website with customers. We feel proud of sending people to the website because it gives them the brand experience we want to give people. I worked closely with Prolific Digital and experienced a proactive and positive mindset to finding solutions.

How did Prolific Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

There were periods when it was quite frantic, but we found our way. We communicated via Google Meet and had weekly check-ins. The Prolific Digital team was available for last-minute calls. 

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Chris was a good counselor and solution-finder. He helped us when we didn’t have the resources and was always willing to help. He was very positive and sometimes took the heat out of the situation. Ashley was pretty organized, and Jason was creative.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prolific Digital's positivity was one of their biggest strengths. They had a mindset of working through ambiguity and finding solutions. They were passionate, positive, and solution-oriented. They were good at working across a multi-matrix organization and investigating different stakeholders, whether they be our internal digital teams or our creative agency. They knew their area of expertise.

They could have impressed more on what luxury looks like in digital. We could have seen a bit more thought leadership from them regarding luxury digital products outside of the spirits industry.

The creative scope for the Kentucky Music Trail project encompasses a comprehensive suite of tasks aimed at developing a cohesive and engaging brand to spotlight this iconic trail as a premier tourist destination. The objective is to craft a distinctive brand identity that not only increases awareness of Kentucky's rich musical heritage but also drives visitor traffic to historic music sites and establishes the trail as a must-visit for music lovers. Key tasks include the creation of a unique brand identity, covering logo design, font selection, color palette, and visual elements that resonate with the trail's essence.

Additionally, the development of a user-friendly digital and printable passport is planned to enhance visitor interaction with the trail. A major deliverable is the design and launch of an informative website featuring interactive maps, site descriptions, and resources to aid visitors. The project also entails producing promotional materials like kiosk stands, brochures, and signage, alongside capturing high-quality photography of key sites for marketing use. Press kits aimed at travel writers and influencers will be developed to amplify the trail's media presence, supported by a robust multi-channel marketing campaign encompassing social media and digital advertising. Finally, performance tracking mechanisms will be implemented to gauge the effectiveness of these marketing efforts, allowing for data-driven adjustments to optimize reach and engagement.

We had a strict timeline and they met every deadline.  Their communication was excellent, everything was posted to a Notion page that I was able to share with the rest of our stakeholders and it was very easy for all of us to see the progress being made on the project.

Yes, evreything has been delivered on time.  All feedback was accepted and welcomed.  It was very easy to submit changes to the final product, they had an online option that would take a screenshot of the webpage, and we could draw on it and make notes of what we wanted different.  Very easy to use and made the change process super easy for our group.

We were going through a full global restage of the brand, which included creating new packaging and a new creative campaign. We also needed a new website to support all of that, so we hired Prolific Digital to help us out.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prolific Digital has helped us design and develop a new website from scratch to relaunch our whiskey brand. Their team had already created several websites for Brown-Forman in the past, so they were already familiar with our business when this project started.

To create this website, we had some wireframes already set up that we were able to leverage. Still, Prolific Digital has added a number of features. To date, they're continuously optimizing our website. As for the technology stack, the team has used Figma for the designs.

What is the team composition?

We've worked with 4–6 teammates from Prolific Digital across multiple functions. Their team includes Chris (Founder), Ashley (Account Executive), a design team, and a copywriting team.

How did you come to work with Prolific Digital?

Someone else introduced Prolific Digital to our business, so they were already set up when this project arose.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in December 2023, and our engagement is ongoing. Still, the project is about 95% done. The website is now live, but Prolific Digital is still working on some final touches, such as refining certain elements.

Prolific Digital has been amazing to work with. They're incredibly collaborative and have become an integral part of our business at this stage. They work really well across multiple areas, including the design, the technical side, and the website's backend. We've been pleased with the project overall, so we would definitely recommend them. We'll continue working with them in the future as well.

How did Prolific Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Prolific Digital offers great communication and excels at adhering to schedules. They're very clear and communicate any delays upfront. Moreover, they've worked hard to ensure that we meet all the important deadlines. We communicate over Google Meet once per week.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Although Chris is the founder, he has been very involved in the process when needed. He has gone above and beyond offering support and guidance. Moreover, Ashley has been very patient and offered a lot of support throughout our collaboration.

What did you find most impressive about them?

It's impressive how well Prolific Digital has integrated into the Brown-Forman business. The project obviously requires more than the brand design; it also requires getting things set up on the backend. Still, Prolific Digital works very well across our business and collaborates well with our IT team, establishing a very seamless process.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything Prolific Digital could improve on.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Go in with a pretty clear idea of your objectives and provide clear guidance on your design guidelines and requirements. Prolific Digital helped us with that at the outset of the project, which was really helpful. Therefore, it's important to have a clear vision and some very open conversations about it, as well as your timeline and budgetary limitations.

I’m the integrated marketing communications manager for a company that manufactures spirits and beverages.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prolific Digital?

We hired Prolific Digital to build a website for a newly launched brand of ours. Our internal development team couldn’t take on the project because of their workload. It made sense for us to go directly to an agency that could focus on the project. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prolific Digital participated in a discovery process. We had a unique project and product, the team helped coordinate many things related to the project. Meanwhile, our team had a clear direction regarding assets, and Prolific Digital used it as guidance. They designed the website using Figma and built it on WordPress. We chose WordPress because our partners across the world would most likely be more capable of interacting with WordPress than with Drupal. 

For features and functionality, the website was quite basic and a standalone brand website. This was a business decision made through our relationship with our partner brand. The site also had a data collection feature since we anticipated to email users through our databases. There were some videos, carousels, and slides on the site. Overall, it was a straightforward website. 

How did you come to work with Prolific Digital?

Prolific Digital did some work within our portfolio of brands, so they came recommended internally. 

How much have you invested with them?

We invested around $100,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from January–September 2023. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Prolific Digital had a great vision for the experience and exhibited great flexibility. The stakeholders were much more hands-on with this project than with a typical website. Given that, the quality of the team’s work truly showed through as far as being a partner and building experiences were concerned. 

How did Prolific Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

The Prolific Digital team hit all their marks unless we were delayed by something such as approvals from stakeholders. They helped in every aspect of project management and provided weekly updates. Their members had open communication and a refreshing approach to partnering with an agency to build a website. 

For tools, they used Figma, where I could track everything. It was truly useful. During the staging process, they provided me with a tool where I could press a button to take a screenshot of a page. There would be a field where I could write my feedback or comment. It was a super cool tool that sped up the feedback process.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’d built some sites with other external agencies — some of them were large while others were small — and this particular experience with Prolific Digital was great. 

We had a lot of ambiguity around this project, but the team was great at communicating and soliciting as much feedback from the stakeholders as possible. Moreover, they were open to all of the complexities of the project. Some of these complexities weren’t usually seen in web-building projects, and they truly helped us navigate around them. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there weren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear plan. Come to Prolific Digital with a thorough idea and project brief, which is critical to any project.
