I am in charge of marketing and sales for NodeBB Inc., a company that provides support, hosting, and customization for NodeBB open source forum software.

Our website was outdated and our internal design team were always too busy with client work to make improvements.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

KRFTWRK was recommended to us through a mutual acquaintance. We met with them and were impressed with their portfolio and overall professionalism.

KRFTWRK created a completely new website run on WordPress with the Elementor web builder, including custom images and copy.

As I recall worked directly with a project manager, a designer, a copywriter, and a dev team member, with some additional staff behind the scenes.

Overall we were very satisfied with the website created by KRFTWRK.

Communication was quite good, with regular meetings and good responsiveness to email inquiries.

All team members were very professional and easy to work with and the work itself was well done.

We did have a small miscommunication with regard to some pre-launch QA, but once we called this to their attention they were very accommodating.

Their website showcased creativity, innovation, fun and uniqueness which speaks very much to our brand at Frontlines and found they were a good fit. They are also community focused and this was another reason why we worked with them

The first stage of the process was identifying our brand messaging and colour codes. The second page was page/word editing. The third phase was topography selection and image format selection. Fourth phase was draft and fifth was final stage with training

There were 3 staff that worked with us. Graphic/web designer, project coordinator and word/page editor

I am the CEO of software development firm for construction tech solutions. We build products for the construction and engineering markets, specifically laboratory management, geotechnical fieldwork and soil management.

Our largest and most valuable product required a marketing website and all of the various branding assets/design that go with it. All of our developers were at maximum capacity and thus we figured we'd look external for a website.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We browsed around for local vendors and had meetings with numerous options - we loved some of their portfolio work, thought they had a great modern aesthetic and were very easy to communicate with.

We spent several meetings discussing the brand identity we were going for, key persona's, messaging etc. to provide Krftwrks with enough detail to get some concepts together. We worked through mood boards, personas, visual concepts, colours, themes etc. to narrow down what the site should contain and who it is tailored to fit. Ultimately the process was smooth and straightforward.

About 3-5 depending on what we were working on - a project manager, lead designer, copywriter were the primary and some additional support.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Krftwrks provided the website, branding and logo designs and components, graphics, fonts, colours etc. in an easy-to-put-to-use format and has made running with them for our actual app and marketing materials very straightforward.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication with Krftwrks was excellent, Melody was a fantastic PM and very easy to work with. We had no trouble whatsoever with communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really appreciated their easy-going nature, high-level communication, and organized and consistent process. Their willingness to experiment and collaborate, and the overall pleasantness of doing business with Krftwrks - would happily recommend to anyone.

We weren't left feeling like there were any major gaps.
