What challenges were you trying to address Process Technologies?

We hired Process Technologies to implement SAP software.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Their team implemented SAP ERP into most of our business units several years back. Since then, we’ve used them as consultants for all of our development units. They used Visual Studio as one of the main technologies. 

What is the team composition? 

Since we started working together, it could be close to 60 people that have supported the project.  

How did you come to work with Process Technologies  

We contacted SAP when we were about to implement their ERP and they referred Process Technologies as a company with expertise in our industry.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve worked together since 2011.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The results of implementing the ERP have been good, which is why we still use them as consultants. Their work on various projects has pleased us.

How did Process Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

The management has changed depending on how many people are working on the project. We’ve had more than 50 projects with them and some have been delivered on time while others haven’t.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very flexible. They understand our business very well and have shown great commitment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have less rotation, though that is very hard to achieve nowadays.

What challenges were you trying to address with Process Technologies?

We had a very basic management system that didn’t include all processes so we were looking to migrate the system to SAP ERP.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Process Technologies to implement the new SAP ERP system. 

What is the team composition?

During the implementation, there were probably around 20 people involved. Now that the implementation is complete, we work with a smaller team of around 10 people who provide support services. 

How did you come to work with Process Technologies?

We are based in Mendoza and we couldn’t find any local company that worked with SAP available. So we started to look for companies in Buenos Aires and found several options. We had a couple of meetings with different candidates, and we found them to be the best option due to their professionalism, project timeline, and costs. 

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve invested around $300,000 USD.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working on the project in July 2018, and the project took about 11 months to complete. We continue working with them on support for the system and new developments.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their work allows us to manage everything from administration to accounting and production, all in a single system. The vendor had knowledge of the industry, so they gave us great advice on how to implement and adapt the system to our needs. They met all of our expectations. We had a good collaboration with them and the results were great. 

How did Process Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

At the beginning of the project, we established a schedule and set monthly goals. They were able to deliver everything in a timely matter. The team came to our office and worked remotely. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Besides their dedication and the amount of time they invested, they provided great support. The team is accommodating towards our needs. Whenever we’ve had any issues, they’ve been there to help us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There is always room for improvement, but we don’t have any complaints about them.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

An evaluation of products and implementation consultants was carried out and when SAP was selected as the product, SAP Argentina recommended Process Technologies as the BP to implement its product.

• The information for balance closings has been improved.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project was implemented 80% of the time during the pandemic, and it was put into production during the pandemic, although this limited us and delayed our time a bit, the teams worked after the objective and adapted to new ways of working.

They were a team of professionals and good people.

Get to know the industry and the client's systems better before sizing the project.

The implementation was carried out with the Big Bang modality, including residential customers and large consumers.

The relationship was very effective because from the beginning of the project the work modalities and methodologies were clearly planned.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to solve problems and the commitment to meet goals impressed us.

Just to mention an opportunity for improvement, strengthen the negotiation skills of the project leader.
