We needed a development partner to build an app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric handles the full development of our Android app. In the future, we plan to make an iOS version of the product with Prismetric. Their team is also in charge of publishing the app to the Play Store.

The platform allows equipment providers to register and make listings in our system. Farmers can use the app to search and rent equipment. Using our app, they can rent tractors and other kinds of equipment.

We work with one project manager, one Android developer, one website developer, one web services developer, one designer, and one QA tester.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

We sought a local development team and visited 3-4 companies in our area. Looking at Prismetric’s past work, we noticed that their team built similar apps to the one we wanted to develop. We could easily meet them at their office and discuss our project.

So far, we’ve spent between 12–13 lakh rupees (approximately $16,000–$18,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Prismetric around March 2020. We completed the first phase, and we’re in beta testing now. Their team will also provide six months of support and develop additional features on the platform. The project will be ongoing for the next 2–3 years.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

At the moment, we’re testing the app. It will only be used by selected farmers and providers, so we’re not marketing the product. However, we already have a few orders, which we didn’t expect in the initial phase. We’re getting good responses from users, so we’re happy with the app.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

Prismetric met deadlines. If we need anything, their team is available. We’re totally new to the technical world, and Prismetric supports us well. They share all the information regarding how the project should unfold.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their project manager is quick and knowledgeable. They gave us a few great suggestions that improved our application.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I can’t think of anything for them to improve.

We wanted to build our human capital software, which comprises talent management and HR, among other services. We needed outsourced development help.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric is developing all of the modules of the software, as well as a mobile app. There are various modules involved in the development, including job posting. The tool allows us to see the applications and it holds the onboarding and training elements. 

As for the HR module, the software has a digital archive of all of the employees and their paid time off. The team is using PHP and Node.js.

What is the team composition?

I’ve been in contact with Ashish (CEO), Ketan (Founder & MD), Pragensh (Operations & Delivery Manager), and a few developers.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

I found them through a Google search. I was looking for a company that could develop a small application. I talked to them and they showed me some software they had developed. I went to India to meet with them, and it was a good experience.

We’ve spent around $70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project began in about January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Prismetric has been committed to delivering even though we’ve had a few hiccups along the way. They’ve been able to create and implement the most important functionalities, we’re just making minor tweaks.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

They communicate very well, and they’ve been there with me along the way. We’ve had a few delays, which is my fault because I made some UI changes. There have also been a few programming delays on their end. 

When I have problems, I speak to the management team and they talk to the programmers. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their commitment to delivering is impressive. They haven’t left me alone throughout the process. Some companies don’t want to communicate once they close the deal, but Prismetric has been communicating well and they want to make it happen. They bear with me when I want to make changes, which I admire.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve identified certain situations in the process that could’ve helped to avoid delays. The team could also avoid using resources that don’t perform very well.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend Prismetric. They’re a trustworthy company. If you’re going to work with them, sit down with them and give them all of the project details. If you do that, the team will perform excellently. That was a mistake I made. I wasn’t as detailed in the functionalities and features of the product, so we found things that were missing.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prismetric?

I was looking for someone to develop a website and an app for us. I was expecting a very high-quality job, and I was in a rush because I had had a bad experience previously. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had a call and I mentioned every single thing about my business, and they made a scope document. I didn’t go through the scope document which was my mistake. I was really hoping they would put in all the information as they had recorded everything I told them during our call. 

They started working on it, but I kept having to point out the things they weren't doing. They said the scope document didn’t say those things. We had a conversation, and it was at that point they started being rude, especially the CEO of the company.

We had a deal, and I asked them if I’d be able to get a refund if I didn’t like the quality, but the CEO was rude and said that Prismetric doesn’t deal with negative people. I just wanted to make sure I was giving the job to the right team.

They hung up on me and didn’t answer my call for a day. I was disappointed because I had paid them money and they weren’t even answering. I wanted to smooth it over and said it was my mistake. I tried to be calm, but I paid them money and expected quality work.

There were three developers, one designer, and one project manager.

I found Prismetric on Clutch.

How much have you invested in them?

They gave me a quote of $18,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in February 2020.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

I was hoping to launch this two months ago because they promised that to me. I had all my plans sorted out. I had hired people and had planned everything out and at that point.

They said they were still working on it and needed an additional week. It has been two months since then and I have lost thousands of dollars because of that. I am looking for another resource for this project.

How was project management handled?

From day one, I was trying to push them because I had had a bad experience before them with some freelancers. I told them I was giving them this project and trusted them. I told them that I was happy to pay whatever they were asking, but I really needed the job done as soon as possible. 

They said it would take six months and we decided to break up the project into four phases. They didn’t even finish phase one within six months.

They kept delaying it and it went badly. They gave me lots of false promises and told me that they would launch my system two months ago. They haven’t. They kept saying it would be the next week, and then when that week came, it would be another week. 

Finally, they made a final promise to me that I was going to get it and that happened about two weeks ago. Again, they couldn’t finish it. It has been nearly six months and they haven’t even finished 25% of the job, and the part that they did has a lot of bugs. 

I was expecting that 25% to at least be good. They took my money and weren’t even answering my phone calls. I paid half of the money, and they wouldn’t refund me. They couldn’t get the job done.

I admit that I added a couple of things, but they could’ve just said that it would take an additional few days. They didn’t say anything when I told them the things they missed. What I was trying to add was not major; it was just part of the project.

The team is unreliable. They are also rude, which isn’t how they should talk to a customer who paid them money. When I told them I wasn’t happy, they said they wouldn’t give me a dollar and then hung up on me.

Their whole strategy wasn’t good, and only 5% of the website had been done in six months. They kept saying the backend developers had issues and that he then had COVID-19. As a company, they should’ve had a backup plan. They shouldn’t play with my dreams. 

I told them to forget phase one and that I would get it done somewhere else. I asked them to just finish phase two, which they promised they would get done.

In what specific areas can they improve?

Their QA plan is bad. Every time the developers made something; they would send it straight through to me. I saw a lot of bugs and had to spend all weekend writing down all the bugs and then send it back to them to have them fixed, but that isn’t how it's supposed to be. 

Our project was pretty complex, and we needed an experienced partner. The QA has to look into the work and make sure that it’s all good before giving it to the client. It has to be pretty good. One or two bugs I would understand, but not several bugs.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Have a proper plan.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric developed our mobile app. We knew what we wanted; I came up with the documentation of how the application would work. The main idea is that the app connects people with the same birthdays from around the world. Users can chat and make voice and video calls. Prismetric integrated Google Maps so that users can look at a particular area on a map and connect with people in that area.

They delivered the app, but we still communicate with them if we need assistance.

I’ve worked with Pragnesh (Senior Project Manager) and one other guy when he is busy.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

I suggested we go for a company in India because they’re very good in IT and are also economical. In our online search, we discovered Prismetric. We interviewed a lot of companies. We had a conference call, looked at their projects, and asked them what they could do with our project. Based on what Prismetric said, we chose them. They gave us ideas of where we could take the project.

My company has spent $35,000.

We started working together in October 2018, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s been an awesome journey with them. This was one of our biggest projects, and it’s given us a lot of exposure. They gave us ideas and helped expand our minds. The app is doing really well and creating more opportunities because of this initial development.

When we started, we were concerned about connecting users on the map via Google Maps UI, since this isn’t so common; however, Prismetric did a great job. We were also looking for the best kind of video call, and they did a really good job there, too.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

Communication was good. We could understand the project manager, who spoke English and was quite clear. I understood the accent from an Indian perspective, but I was surprised that Pragnesh was able to speak English that was clear enough for my boss to understand. Everyone on the team could understand him.

We usually had meetings every week and sometimes twice a week. I loved the communication and the ideas that they brought to the table. When we discussed challenges with them, they went back to their team, and when they came back to us, they’d resolved them. They were flexible to change requests. Now, any time we contact them with an issue, they are willing to give us all of the information that we need.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I don’t have another company to compare them with right now. Since they’re the only one, I’m satisfied with their delivery.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Given the circumstances surrounding COVID-19 and the lockdown, we wish our app could allow multiple conference meetings. This wasn’t a thought at the time we built it, but I wish they had proposed it; it would’ve been so useful for today. Right now, we’re working on a separate application.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

You need to understand what you want. If you don’t, you really need a company like Prismetric that can help you and give you an idea of what you’re looking for. Not every company can do that. Most companies rely on you to telling them what to do. If you need someone to help give you a vision of your dream, a company like Prismetric can help you. They have a wealth of ideas, and they’re willing to teach you everything.

We hired Prismetric for iPhone and Android application development which we needed for one of our clients. The main objective was to develop an application which can help customers to book restaurant table in few steps.

Our client is start up and they have already received good funding before we developed this application. The goal is to reach all the restaurants in the US by December 2021.

How did you select this vendor?

This is second time we are working with Prismetric. We worked with other team before this project but they did not handle it with care and project management was not good so we researched on Google and interviewed 3 companies and received proposal from all of them. Prismetric's proposal was outstanding and within our budget limit. We got on calls few times before considering to work with them.

The project included design, development and testing phases before delivering to us. They managed it through Trello project management system which we always use with our other projects. The execution was very well and delivery was on time.

We were assigned dedicated team of 1 designer, 1 iOS developer, 1 Android developer, 1 Quality analyst, 1 Web developer and 1 project manager. Project manager was hoping on weekly call to discuss progress.

We have recently launched the application in both platform so we do not have quite number of users because we are doing beta testing and hoping to start full fledged marketing in a month time. It is too early to share any outcome.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Our project manager was regularly connecting on a call with their manager. We were involved in testing phase too. Overall our collaboration with Prismetric project team was great. Communication was excellent.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Prismetric team managed to complete project in given time frame.

I am fully satisfied with this team as I never had any issue during development.

We wanted to make a social media App for people to connect in local communities. Are hope in the future is to get more downloads through the application to keep expanding in new communities and helping active users find new users through common interest. Prismetric has made this possible.

How did you select this vendor?

My team searched North American app developers and found it was costly and timely so we looked into Outsourcing to India. We reached out to two different companies. Prismetric replied back first to discuss the project, functionality, price and timeline for completion of the app. My team talked it over and chose to go ahead with this company.

Once we chalk out the payment plan and timeline we sent over the wireframes of what we had envisioned the app to look like with guidelines of the functionality for each interface. Next time we talked they had design and content of each UI that we had asked for with some extra features.

After we deiced that we wanted both platform IOS & Andriod. My team worked very close with their team to complete all requirements that we needed to make the app

Since the beginning we were assigned a project manger, two frontend and two backend developers that we worked with until completion of the app.

After launch we received good feedback and good reviews. As we move forward as a company and make more progress into are goals we are sure to grow into a successful business thanks to prismetrics

communication and scheduling was great and respond time was fast. If we ever had question they had quick feedback. We got use to the time difference and the language did not make a different to the workflow they promised

The sheer knowledge they have with mobile development and how the team promised and delivered what they said they would.

We wanted to develop a mobile app and worked with Prismetric to help us achieve that goal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They worked with us to create an iOS e-commerce application for our products using SQL and a few other technologies. They also provided a web component for us to interact with on the backend which is at a relatively basic stage in terms of its functionality for now.

We provided designs and wireframes for them to work from to create the full application and help us launch and maintain it on the app store. Going forward, we are looking to expand the app to Android and add some new features over time.

One member of their team serves as our main contact, and then there are two others who handle any major change requests that we have as well as payments that we make for their services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

From the wireframes that we gave to them, they emulated almost exactly what we wanted and, in some cases, even exceeded our expectations terms of the functionality of the product. We are looking forward to continuing to work with them on the iOS and Android versions of the application.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

There were a few minor scheduling hiccups every once in a while, but that’s not on them. We make use of a lot of communication channels to make sure everyone stays on the same page, including phone calls, emails, and Skype. Basecamp has also really helped to keep the ball rolling smoothly, and there was never a time where anything fell off course dramatically, so we’re really happy with their performance.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The first word that comes to mind when I think of them is professionalism. They provide a great service and they were easy to work with the whole way through. Not only that, but when there were ways that they found they could improve a feature or function above what we had designed, they included that, which we really appreciated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We had our hiccups, but there really was nothing I would ever complain about. The challenges we’ve faced have helped us to tighten up our ability to communicate, which I think is a net positive overall.

Know what you want and what you expect from their team. The better idea you have of that and the more direct materials you can give them to provide an idea of what you’re seeking for them, the more smoothly the engagement is going to go.

Some of them were high on budget but when I had found out about Prismetric, We set meeting and meeting with Ashish was amazing, he not only helped with his experience but he promised to deliver best in industry with dedicated team.

After first meeting, they had sent us the offer with scope document and the pricing details which was competitive in the industry and then in initial two weeks of time they have developed the design of the application

With the time they have build the functions of the application and they had involved us in the initial testing and after completion of the development they have also helped us to identify some bugs & complexity which we had simplified during internal testing.

Prismetric has experienced employees, they have allocated us a dedicated team which was best in their respective field knowledge, whenever we required to expedite the process they have allocated addition team members to complete the project in time. The project manager is a nicest person i have met in the industry.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

the application was developed completely as it was discussed and they have gave their best to identify the bugs and reduce the complexity of the application, after the launch of the application we have received good response and the application is easy to use for most of the users.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

the work flow between our team was good, we have received everyday updates from the development team and for the follow ups they had kept us posted until the issues has been resolved.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their attitude towards the project was impressive. At some point we had to change some parts in the application during development phase which were quite frustating but the team completely cooperated us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We had a wonderful experience with Prismetric, If we think about the improvements through out our product life-cycle with prismetric then there would be only 1 which is internal testing of the application.

They do full testing of the application before and post launch but it is only the team who involved into development, I would say if they have some userbase then they can check with them about the product in more detail

We selected Prismetric to build a marketing app based on our requirements. The solution would be available for Android, iOS, and web.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric developed an app that allows businesses to advertise on our platform. End users are encouraged to visit the platform, and we get revenue from both the users and advertising businesses. The tech stack included PHP and AWS.

What is the team composition?

They assigned five people to our project, but I only dealt with the project manager.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

I researched companies on Clutch and other sites. Eventually, I came across an advertisement claiming that Prismetric had a presence in our region, so I got in touch for a proposal. I found their pricing to be good compared to our other options.

How much have you invested with them?

The total cost was around $18,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Their work lasted from May 2017–August 2018. The site is already developed, but we haven’t launched it yet because we still have some stakeholder issues.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Prismetric accomplished our main project, and our stakeholders and internal team are happy with the results. The app was initially accepted in the App Store. But after testing, we were told that parts of the solution weren’t compatible with Apple’s conditions. Regardless, the app quality was very good, and the cost wasn’t too high.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

We dealt with two project managers: the first was very good and followed up every two weeks or so; the second moved a bit slower and wasn’t as communicative. In terms of project management tools, they used Basecamp to track their work. I didn’t like it and preferred to use Google Sheets/Forms to share issues with their team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The best thing about them is the price. They’re also very helpful. If I ask to make changes, they’ll do it a few times. Only later will they say that we need to make a change request and put a price on it. So, they're helpful for some of these things.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Faster development would be an improvement, but their pace was acceptable given the price. Additionally, they required precise instructions on the design side.
