We wanted to enable people to able to connect with each other easily and quickly, through the use of a mobile app. The goal for us was to create our social networking application natively on both IOS and Android.

How did you select this vendor?

As we are bootstrapped start up from Australia, local developers were out of the question as they were too expensive.Therefore, out only option was to outsource to a reasonable company overseas. I researched many companies, through looking at their prices, previous work and reputation. I ended up choosing Prismetric due to the factors above.

We had developed detailed functional requirements and wireframes for Prismetric to analyse. They had come back with a really reasonable quote. They were also flexible in allowing us to the do graphics component of the User Interface, thus reducing our costs. Once the agreements were made, it was full speed ahead and they had done a great job at implementing the solution.

What was the team composition?

I was speaking Hardik who was the project manager. He was awesome in delivering a good product. It was also great to see that they were flexible in delivering minor changes to the application at no added cost (this is rare with development companies). Hardik was always available for calls and messages over Skype and is really good to deal with. Its essential to have a good project manager running your project, and you project is in safe hands with Hardik.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We had a working prototype of the application which is ready to go. We are currently in the phase of the beta test which is going well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was really good and stress-free. They would always address our feedback and would suggest better solutions than what we had.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The quality of the application was quite good and their implementation of the UI was outstanding. They also offered me 6 months of free bug support which is really good!

Are there any areas for improvement?

The project did run a little overtime than what we were initially told. But they delivered the project at no extra cost.

I’m the co-founder of Universal Stainless. We’re a manufacturer of steel products for small- and large-scale industrial sectors. We deal with global clients, delivering world-class steel products and offering high-quality welded pipes and panes.

I look into aspects of delivering the products on time and attaining client satisfaction. Apart from accomplishing my designated duties, I work on improving our services and taking our brand to the world by analyzing and fulfilling competitive advantages.

What was the business challenge that you were trying to address? What was the goal of the partnership?

Though we had a good presence in the market, I felt that our brand name would get better identification and notation among our prospective clients if we had a better ERP system. It had to enable our employees to understand and respond to customers accordingly, as well as act as a comprehensive source of information.

The goal of the partnership was to get better insights into the day-to-day work being completed and the different stages of production and customers’ queries.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of the project, and can you describe the specific services that were provided?

The scope was to build an ERP and CRM system that would help our employees track, maintain, and update the organization’s resources. It also had to manage our data more efficiently. Additionally, they’ve given us a few ideas on how we can use the CRM to effectively market our services.

What was your process for selecting this company to work with? Why did you choose them over others?

I met the managing director and CEO of Prismetric at a business conference. When discussing my ideas, growth, and business augmentation for UniversalStainless, they shared their insights about active ways they could make my endeavors more achievable.

I also researched their online presence, reviews, testimonials, pricing, and completed projects. I found that Prismetric was the right company to take my objectives forward. Most importantly, I needed someone who could understand my requirements at a very basic level.

The project was estimated for INR 14 Lakhs ($20,100 USD).

Yes, the project is an ongoing one. The estimated timeline for the completion was 18 weeks.

What were the results of the project? Are there any success stories or metrics you can share?

The project just reached the half-way point, and the CRM they developed is incredible. We’ve already started using it, and our processes are much more seamless than they were. We’re saving a lot of man-hours and reaching out to customers in a timelier manner. Once the entire system is complete, we’re sure it will provide us with a refined business system.

When working with this company is there anything that sets them apart compared to other partners you may have worked with?

Communication is one of the factors that sets them apart from the rest. The project manager was available whenever we needed an explanation or project progression details. They have a good team, and every aspect of my requirement has been taken care of. On the whole, our partnership with them has been smooth so far.

Do you have any constructive criticism? Is there any area that they could improve?

I haven’t found any. They’re hard-working and helpful, so I think they should sustain these qualities for a long time. Keep impressing the clients, as they did in my case.

I am the CEO at Predrinkdelivery LTD. Our company is a B2B2C that connects retailers licensed to sell alcohol with other business and consumers and then delivers alcohol to them. We operate in Southampton, UK.

We hired Prismetric to create a customer app originally, but later added a database that would cooperate with the licensed retailers’ POS software, an app for drivers, and a progressive e-commerce website.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to create a system of apps, databases, and an e-commerce website that would work as dynamically and progressively as possible.

We posted a job offer on Upwork and received over 30 proposals. We shortlisted five of them and asked each to send a detailed proposal. Prismetric had a very detailed document and a very competitive price for project. We were also impressed by their portfolio, quick responses, and willingness to work on our project.

Once we selected this vendor, we created a document where we outlined what we wanted to receive at the end. We had a series of Skype calls to discuss the details. During the project, we’ve had to make a lot of changes and improvements. The Prismetric team is always patient and do their best to satisfy our new requirements.

As far as we know, there are nine developers working on our project, but usually we talk to a project manager.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Within just a few weeks, they created an admin panel for the products, and we received screenshots and a flowchart of the customer app. After about a month, we were able to download the first version of our customer app and see the progress in real time. 

In two more months, the app was nearly completed, but then we decided to change our business model and develop an app for drivers and a progressive e-commerce website. That work is currently in progress.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The project manager that we were assigned is easy to communicate with. We have Skype calls every two weeks on average (sometimes more often when needed), and we communicate every 2–3 days via messages. The responses have always been quick and productive.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We appreciate that the Prismetric team has been very patient with us as we changed our business model and designs along with many other requirements.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can be always done faster, but we are satisfied with their work step by step.

The product performs well, and we have not dealt with any major bugs. They are very supportive of our non-technical team, and they have even come onsite to train our engineers.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

Our project manager initially checked our processes and functionalities to ensure they could implement the appropriate software. The team is very flexible and meets with us as needed.

We used Trello to create tasks and report bugs during the development phase. Communication via email and phone has been seamless.

Their dedication, timeliness, and strong development capabilities have impressed us. The team has even delivered finished products ahead of schedule.

As our first software project, this was a great experience.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our beta version has only been implemented in a few salons, so identifying outcomes is somewhat premature. We plan to include additional, on-trend features in future versions and will continue to update the platform.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Their seamless coordination and communication made our team comfortable contacting them with queries or for project updates. They were very friendly and helpful from the outset, always available for a call and ready to assist. Also, they offered extraordinary ideas for executing our app, which helped alleviate any doubts we have had.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We were very impressed with their delivery. Our project involved multiple resources, so we were prepared for potential last-minute delays. However, Prismetric is an experienced company adept at managing multiple deadlines; they delivered everything according to schedule, and our app launched as promised and on time. Moreover, all of the requirements were fulfilled flawlessly.

We found no areas of improvement. They are a complete team that offers extensive experience with diverse clients and projects.

I’m the founder and CEO of The Positive App, which produces a diary that allows users to track their mood through exercises and cognitive therapy techniques.

What challenge were you trying to address with Prismetric?

We wanted to build a native iOS app but didn’t have an in-house developer. We needed a team to help us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We came up with a very brief draft of all the features we wanted. They helped me flesh out the details and eliminate some unnecessary parts. We went through multiple reviews and made changes along the way. They gave good suggestions for design options and came up with an elegant interface. They also presented some options for us to explore for marketing services with other companies.

The app has a feature that allows users to walk through their thought processes and their mood in a given day. We wanted to make sure the interface was easy to use, so Prismetric helped with the design, ensuring that every step would appear on one page or in a series of pop-ups. There is also a mood analytics feature that shows a mood chart for each day that has an entry. Users can track their mood and see which days of the week they consistently feel a certain way.

What is the team composition?

I first worked with their business developer. He introduced us to a team leader and our project manager. They helped us go through the business cases and build up a solid plan for features.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

I considered ten companies in the United States, India, and Southeast Asia. We wanted a team that could code the backend and had good experience in design. Prismetric gave good feedback on our ideas and helped us with the user flow, so we felt comfortable moving forward with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement lasted from June–November 2017. We started the development in August and launched the app later in November.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our users like the clean design of the app, and we’re very happy with the results. We’ve had some feedback about parts of the functionality and have some ideas about new things to add. Currently, we have 100–200 active users and haven’t seen any crashes. We’re happy about the quality of the app and are impressed that it’s doing so well.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

The project manager and the team leader are responsive. Whenever I have a question, I usually get an answer the next morning. If there’s an urgent need, their business developer works with their U.S. clients to make sure I get a response quickly. We changed several features in the middle of the project, and they were always willing to flex to meet our needs.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re very responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. The quality of their work is excellent, and their designs are as good as anything we could find in the U.S.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything they should improve. They’re a reliable partner and a pleasure to work with.

Trust them and work with them to come up with the right set of features for your project. The more detail you can give them, the better your process will be.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric developed the app on native iOS and Android platforms. They redesigned the previous developer’s wireframes and then built a series of features. These functionalities included liking, connect with friends, ratings, reviews, and an e-wallet. The team also built features for chat, messaging, and alerts. In addition, they made the app QR code-compatible, which enables users to redeem offers with third-party merchants. In addition, we’ve collaborated on user acceptance testing.

I’ve worked with Ashish (CEO, Prismetric) after the project manager role changed hands.

How did you come to work with Prismetric?

Initially, I spoke to a couple of app developers, but the chosen vendor only delivered a half-done product. That partnership was a waste of time and money. Subsequently, I explained the challenges and my expectations to Prismetric.

The apps are great and we are going live next month. Prismetric has fixed all major bugs, but promises to resolve any issues post-launch. Overall, the partnership has been hassle-free. Ashish plays a crucial role in our seamless relationship. He stays on top of the technical side, which makes the offshore project stress-free.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

Compared to the bad experience I had, Prismetric is top-notch. The team provides weekly development updates. They test new releases over the weekend, report their performance the following Monday, and then adjust based on our feedback. This approach has been consistent and precise. We switched from Basecamp to Excel in the runup to going live because the latter was more conducive to our needs. Although we still use Basecamp for updates, we now utilize Google Drive to prioritize action items.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prismetric fosters understanding between teams, which we haven’t experienced with other offshore vendors. The team’s prioritization of relationship management enhances their impressive designs. The team’s insight and guidance reflect their expertise.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The project manager role experienced turnover about midway through development. The handover could have been tighter. Some information slipped through the cracks, but given the personal circumstances for the departure, there wasn’t much more Prismetric could have done. Having a backup structure in place would make future coordination smoother.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure both sides are clear about workflows because it’s important to be on the same page. They have a great way of working, and I found myself aligning with their approach, even though it wasn’t my necessarily my style. Be flexible and adaptable, as they are open to change as well.

I had an idea for a job management platform but lacked the development expertise to build it myself. I needed to work with a professional team. Since I’m new to this field and felt wary of using an overseas vendor, I initially hired an Australian developer. They worked on the project for six months. It ended up being overpriced and underdelivered. I went back to my original research and reached out to Prismetric instead.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Prismetric developed our job management platform using PHP. It took them about a month to read over the code that the previous team from Australia had developed. Rather than an off-the-shelf product, our concept was quite unique and required a complex build. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We just launched our platform last week. Slowly but surely, our product is increasing in popularity and brand recognition as we gain more followers on social media. We garnered a couple of hundred likes on our Facebook page in the first two days, despite challenges that slowed down that process. There have been no crashes or bugs to date, and I’m happy with their work.

How did Prismetric perform from a project management standpoint?

Early on in the development phase, we sent several messages back and forth to get the team up to speed. Over the year we’ve worked together, it’s become much more comfortable to communicate the complex ideas we have for our product. 

Prismetric sorts out any issues we encounter at no additional cost. I’ve had to put pressure on them at times, but it’s been a much better experience from the prior developer. We generally use email, Basecamp, and on the rare occasion, Google Hangouts. I’m pleased with how rapidly they respond.  We’ve spoken on the phone twice in the past year.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

Prismetric offers a much higher level of service than the Australian company we used beforehand. Despite the team’s offshore location, communication has been excellent. It’s been a good experience working together. If I had to do it again, I’d go back and build my entire product from scratch with Prismetric.

They’re much nicer to work with; they’re very accommodating and have never been arrogant. Prismetric has built everything they said they would at a much more competitive price. They've created twice as many features as the Australian developer completed for the same cost.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m not sure if our organization issues relate to the lead developer or Basecamp. On the rare occasion, they’ve missed a couple of minor features. It seemed as if they never saw the request. That’s been the only issue. Overall, they get everything done in the right order. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about your long-term goals and the specific feel you’d like your product to have. Breaking down the scope to particular features will help them complete your project the way you’d like it done.

Please describe your company and your position there.

We’re a California-based startup that provides electrical and electronics repair services. Californians can request a specific service through our app and we get it done in timely manner.

We needed to create a mobile app on which customers can request specific services. We have technicians that visit our customers’ homes or offices and get the service completed.

We were already providing this service but we didn’t have a platform on which we could receive inquiries and more business.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched online for mobile app developers specifically in India and found the Clutch directory. We shortlisted and interviewed four development companies and received proposals. After our discussions, we decided to move forward with Prismetric.

Before beginning the project, they provided a complete project plan as well as login information for their project management system. We received updates every week with designs and builds, which we could install on our devices to check their progress. We went through many revisions of the wireframe mockups so that the end product would turn out like we initially envisioned.

They assigned one project manager who was our point of contact. The development and design team consisted of an iOS developer, an Android developer, a web developer, a designer, and a QA specialist.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We just launched our app a week ago and we’re very happy with the final outcome. They delivered what they promised on time. We’ve started with marketing now and have gradually gotten a good number of downloads. In just one week, we’ve already gotten two orders and both customers were very happy with our service and the app’s interface.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We were worried about having a language barrier but the project manager was a fluent English speaker and a good communicator. We had calls with him every Friday morning. Overall, the workflow between us was very good.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

During our calls, the project manager would make suggestions for improving the app’s look and functionality. We implemented some of their comments and are glad that we did. We’re in the post-launch free support phase and Prismetric has been prompt in fixing the minor bugs we found two days after launching, which is really remarkable.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We’re really happy with the product and don’t have any complaints. The only thing they could improve is to make someone in the team available during our daytime, though it was never an issue because I always sleep late or wake up early, so we were able to manage the hours.
