We brought PPC Geeks onboard in summer 2025 to help manage our paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads. The goal was to increase qualified traffic to our website, improve lead generation with better quality leads, and optimise ad spend for both brand awareness and conversions.

Since we've been working with PPC Geeks, the results have been fantastic and heading in the right direction to what we are aiming for. From the very beginning, Stephanie and the team took the time to understand our business, target audience, and goals, and really worked with us to help improve the position that we used to be in with them. We have already seen positive decrease in CPL and and increase in better conversions.

PPC Geeks really know their busness when it comes to PPC and impressed me initially with a powerful review of my current advertising plus a list of probably 8-10 ways that we could improve it. PPC Geeks implemented the changes and we saw instant uplift in our performance. 

Their sliding pay scales are also helpful as we are a small company currently (with ambitions growth plans) but it makes it affordable, plus our ad spend is actually reducing as our ads become more optimised over time, so we get 'more bang for our buck'. It is great to know we can relax with the knowledge we are in the hands of real experts.

We've never had any PPC campaigns running for PlusFloor so this was a brand new project which PPC Geeks undertook for us. Our brief was fairly broad. Fundamentally, we wanted more leads to come to the website and we wanted to drive more traffic to our two showrooms in London and the South Lakes through targeted campaigns. 

At first, we weren't entirely sure who to target to bring in the leads as we cater to a few different markets in the product offering which we have. The team worked to create targeted campaigns to cater to our audiences and fine tuned the ads to make sure they were getting the most out of the budget which we had.

We have seen a noticeable uplift in sample orders through our website and through to our sales teams on the phones. We prequalify all of our leads which come in to the sales team, we always ask how our customers have heard about us so we can clearly define the success of the PPC campaign and align which ones are more successful than others.

PPC Geeks have always been extremely reactive to any changes required, adjusting and retargeting campaigns as and when required. All work has been completed on time, if not ahead of schedule.

Our relationship with our previous agency had gone stale. We weren't seeing the results we wanted, and it didn't feel like we were being listened too. Both of our ad accounts were suffering. We hired PPC geeks to take a fresh look at our account, clean-up some bad practice, implement some of our customer insight into the structure and design of our ads.

We've seen impressive recovery on our main UK and ROW ad account. Revenue and traffic are both up and on a great trajectory. Our USA account has been trickier to handle, but we have successfully halted the decline, cleaned the account and are starting to see the green shoots of a bespoke approach to the USA market which can drive great quality traffic.

I've been really impressed with the project management throughout. We have good regular updates and useful discussions around experiments we can try next to keep the momentum or deal with challenges when they come up. There has been a good foundation of honesty since we started, which has made this feel like a real team effort.

They delivered our target ROAS on our promotional campaigns. They always flagged if there was a risk of a campaign not performing due to budget or targeting, so we could tackle these ahead of the campaign to make them successful.

Communication was great, they were always very responsive. They were always happy to listen to our challenges carefully and come back with recommendations.

PPC Geeks were tasked with recovering our ROAS to ensure our campaigns were getting our required return while continuing to grow our top line through the Google PPC channel. They were to do this with continuous improvement and careful spend controls across our campaigns.

I have a main contact who covers all the main comms between us and PPC Geeks and direct contact with the Head of PPC at Geeks.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have seen good improvements to our return on adspend since the PPC Geeks have taken on the account. The top line growth has also been achieved so far this year, but the challenge will be whether the Geeks can guide us to the growth we require in 23/24.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

PPC Geeks have been super responsive to our emails, and we regularly report weekly, monthly and quarterly. They have a balanced approach and the refreshing aspect is they appreciate our position as a retailer with retailers expertise/needs/experience and listen and have often adjusted plans at our request or reached a compromise on a course of action which we have found very unusual where it comes to other PPC agencies. They are also careful and conservative in their approach and as long as we have been patient as client we have seen success from this way of operating.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their strong communications and responsiveness to our needs, and of course delivering results in line with our requirements.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

The only area of concern is what the future holds, and if we are able to take our Google PPC revenue to where it needs to be in the new year without compromising on our ROAS expectations. We have not had the most detailed plan in this area and we although we appreciate things are hard to forecast/predict we would like more detail on how these numbers can be achieved.

Worked with them at my previous company. They were always very transparent in how they worked, and importantly delivered the results we needed. We knew we needed them for this business.

Given I had worked with them before at a similar company (now dissolved). At MQS we have very specific targets for the kinds of clients we want. Also as a new company we needed to generate leads for our 3 locations with local targeting. However we can also target nationwide. PPC Geeks worked with our website provided to make sure all this was aligned with our landing pages.

I mainly deal with Chris (Managing Director) due to a previous relationship with the past company. If Chris isn't available we can speak to Matt.

We have a CRM (which PPC Geeks recommended) that enables us to track the leads we get from pipedrive and the value they drive us. We have a cost per lead target and try and maximise the amount of leads we can get at that rate. We recently launched a new service and we tasked PPC Geeks with generating leads for that. Given it's a higher value service we can have a higher cost per lead there.

We get daily call reports, weekly reports, and monthly reports. We mainly deal with any issues or changes over email. We have quarterly review sessions as well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed with their attention to detail. Transparency, for example things do go wrong sometimes for example with call tracking or us changing websites and now sharing the go live date. PPC Geeks always react quickly and make good on any problems. Recently when our web designer caused an issue PPC Geeks stepped in a solved it for us as it was holding up their work and was beyond my technical understanding.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We do have some weeks where we get fewer leads or more leads than expected. It can be a bit annoying that the results aren't always consistent but most of this is seems is down to season changes or just general normal business. The important thing is that over time the leads are always good.

I am a Manager for our 2 branches delivering a wide range of high quality plant hire equipment throughout Birmingham and the midlands.

I had been running our Google Ads myself for years since I set it up, and we were contacted by Chris who offered to review what we were doing. At the time we were expanding our equipment range and I didn't have time to manage it, also we were due a new website so the timing fit well. Buying equipment in this industry is expensive and with our SEO strong I was needing to understand if my PPC spend was the most cost effective. We spend a lot on PPC.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

A huge problem we had was how many out of area enquiries we got. We have a very strong brand but we can only deliver within 60 miles of our depots due to the costs of delivery of equipment that weighs several tons! Chris and his team uncovered that my targeting was all wrong. I was paying for ads nationwide as I didn't fully understand how everything worked I just went with Google recommendations.

Chris assured me we could cut our spend, by a lot actually and get more relevant local enquiries. PPC geeks have been true to their word as we are still with them and we are spending way less on ads than we were despite that meaning they charge us less than they would have done if they kept our spend at the level it was before.

Given I am responsible for all our our IT as well as answering the phones and arranging deliveries I'm not a fan of long calls I do everything over email. I type fast. The team at PPC Geeks took the time to understand what I needed and the kind of customer we need and importantly how our industry works with hire periods. They were very keen on making sure we focused on more profitable leads however we need a volume of enquiries to keep our equipment on hire. A machine in the yard is basically losing money for us.

PPC geeks have found that balance making sure we get plenty of enquiries for our core machines but also getting us leads for our long term contracts. I used to be quite particular about how Google ads was structured as I had run it for so long, but when they explained to me why they structure things in the right way I was happy to leave them to it as fundamentally I trust them. They always do what they say and that is important to me.

I mainly work with Chris, who was a Client Manager but as their team has grown is the Managing Director now. He always has time for me and when he's not available I can contact Matt or call the main number (rarely needed). I can see that several people optimise my account from their account management team, Mark, Rory, Colin and Kate for example.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The key thing for me is that we are now spending £6000 per month less than we used to. And we've never gone up to our previous level as we haven't needed to due to our local delivery constraints. The savings from my previous, Google advised, high spending covers their fee. We are quite a seasonal business so we have cost per lead targets for each season as well as set promotion. I don't want to share our numbers her as we are in a very competitive market but they work for us.

Email mainly as this is my preferred method. They are incredibly responsive. I have never had to wait for an answer, I always get a response same day and the 2 or 3 times over the last few years when I've need to call I always get through or get a call back immediately. I'm pretty quirky in how I work and they fit in to that. If I need extra reports based on some random data point I like to look at like recession impacts they create those for me right away. Very happy here as it fits me it's a no fluff approach.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have been loyal to them and they have been loyal to us. They have turned down competitors due to our long term relationship and mainly they look after us. They do what they say they will which is rare these days. They also helped us out during covid and we'll never forget that. They are good honest people I can't ask for more than that.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Well the finance director always moans about us paying for someone else to do this rather than me, but they haven't raised their fees in all the time we've been working with them. They probably won't like me saying that. It would be good if they could do more services for us but they are very good at what they focus on which for us is PPC.

Since implementing their strategy we have maintained our position at the top of the rankings for Jane Plan brand searches at least 95% of the time and have also managed to drive down the CPA on non-brand recruitment to its current level, approximately to brief, week in week out

We met with and were audited by two other PPC agencies. PPC Geeks stood out for their accommodating service - they really wanted to work with us and were open to working with us on a consultancy basis should we want to manage PPC in-house. Ultimately we were so impressed by Matt Ramsay and PPC Geeks that we asked PPC Geeks to run all of our google ads. A decision we have not regretted. We cannot fault the service that PPC Geeks offer.

Our initial focus was to update our google account in-line with best practices, reduce wasted spend on lower ROAS products, as well as upgrading our smart shopping to performance max. Since this has been achieved our focus has been to continue to adapt our new account structure and draw our next steps from performance data collection.

1 person - Matt, Head Of Client Management. Matt has been exceptional to work with. He is clear, and efficient and works with us every step of the way to achieve our PPC goals.

Most recently our revenue is up 13% with PPC.

Matt is in-touch with us weekly at the very minimum. More often than not he's in-touch with us multiple times a week, answering our questions, and making sure that PPC has up-to-date assets and campaign info. His response rate is fast; he's back in-touch with me within 24 hours without fail.

• Their knowledge of Google Shopping and Google as a whole is impressive.
• The exceptional communication skills
• The accommodating working style; always striving to work towards our company goals.
• The reporting model. We receive weekly reports with everything we need to know. PPC Geeks is also keen to tailor and personalise our weekly reports to meet our business objectives.
