What challenge were you trying to address with Pixories Inc?

I wanted to communicate a complex set of ideas to less technical audiences in particular. We found that difficult to do because most people don't know about artificial intelligence, at least not in detail. So we relied on Pixories Inc to help us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Pixories Inc to produce a two-minute educational video describing how we embed AI in websites to make them smarter.

The process was surprisingly easy and straightforward. We explained our situation, after which they came back with a script. Once we approved the script, they came back with a rough draft of the animation. They then gave us a choice of hundreds of different narrators. After we chose the narrator, they got to work on creating the video. Finally, they put the final touches on the process by adding sound effects and very sophisticated animation.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I gave Pixories Inc broad outlines for the video, and they managed to flesh them out wonderfully. In doing so, I was delighted with the work because they kept it simple — they made a very light, happy, bubbly video, which is what we were looking for. We’ve since embedded the final video into our website, and we use it on a regular basis to help explain our product in sales pitches.

I was so pleased with the first video that I commissioned them for a second one, which they just delivered last week. They did such excellent work that in many of the steps, we just accepted on the first go-through because it was almost like they could read my mind as to what I was looking for, so I was delighted with the end product. 

I will be using them again when opportunities arise. I have also had nothing but positive feedback from the people who have seen it. One, in particular, was from a prospect who said that the video demystified the technology in such a way that it made her happy.

Pixories Inc has performed exceptionally well in terms of project management. They’ve met our schedule expectations. They’re also incredibly transparent — they’ve always shown and explained everything all the way through, so there have been no surprises.

We typically communicate through emails and video conference calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’d say I’m most impressed with the script that Pixories Inc came up with. We gave them fairly vague ideas, and they are not experts in AI either. So they were learning about our product and process and working on describing it to other people at the same time. The animations and all the other things were excellent, but the script was the message that we were carrying forward, and they did an incredible job with it.

We use the video on outdoor displays, as well as on LinkedIn and for email marketing and certain presentations. Pixories adjusted the video for our needs.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Given the nature of our business, we didn't expect the video to go viral, but our market and our clients were pleasantly surprised with the styling of our message. We used it during the pandemic when things were slowing down and it allowed us to interact with a lot of people. We also received feedback from people that drove by our digital screens and saw the video.

How did Pixories Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

Their follow-up process helped me a lot. Since we’re handling our own operations, it’s difficult to make time for this kind of initiative but Pixories was very diligent in setting up the meetings and following up. They kept us engaged using a cloud-based tool to see the status of the project. We communicated via Zoom, WhatsApp, and a couple of face-to-face meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were diligent in following up and paid attention to our feedback. Moreover, they were also involved in our marketing approach, which was an unexpected bonus.

No, there’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Don’t keep anything inside. Put everything on the table so that they can understand what you want.

We created one 60-second promotional video for online advertising.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Pixories has the highest quality animated videos, with fun and original styles, at a very affordable rate.

I wrote the script and a simple description of what the video should look like scene by scene. Pixories offered 3 original style options for me choose from, and quickly produced a storyboard. I approved the storyboard and they began production. Pixories got samples from dozens of voice actors reading the script. I selected a voice actor for the video. The overall production took about two months, and the final render was perfect.

I worked primarily with Daniel and Georgina, but I saw many Pixories teammates throughout the production. We met 1-2 times per week to review progress and give feedback.

We were working with a client that needed a short animated video for a complex application that they had developed. They needed to use this video for an investment meeting as well as communicating more about what their company does.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at video production companies or profiles on Upwork and found the team at pixories. Their work was very fitting to what we were looking for and their team was very responsive.

We started with some discovery calls to go over the objectives and also present our project brief to them with inspiration etc. Then we worked out the details and needs on both ends of the partnership and together came up with a script that would lead the animation production process.

We worked directly with a project manager on the team but also had communication with several other team members. Since we were on a tight deadline, it was great that we were able to communicate with the whole team and make sure that everyone was on the same page. It was a great experience working with them.

The client used this video in several investor meetings and it helped them to secure their next round in funding.

We managed the majority of the project with spreadsheets and docs which worked very well for the whole team on both sides. It was a very collaborative experience.

Their ability to take feedback and improve on drafts at a rapid speed with little to no revisions was extremely positive. They were really receptive to our feedback and didn't take things personally. They were also under a very tight deadline and did everything in their power to deliver on time.

Overall, I think that everything was perfect. We presented them with a very tight timeline and budget and were very impressed with what they delivered and the time it took them.
