Scope of Work & Key Deliverables

The scope of work covered the complete end-to-end delivery of both our corporate website and a mobile application. The partner was responsible for the entire process, starting with requirements analysis and UX/UI design, through technical implementation, testing, and final deployment.

Key deliverables included:

• A fully redesigned corporate website, including information architecture, UX/UI design, frontend and backend development, CMS implementation, and SEO-ready structure.
• Development of a cross-platform mobile application (iOS and Android) focused on structured product and installation feedback, including user authentication, data submission workflows, and backend integration.
• API and backend services to support the mobile application, including data storage, administration, and reporting capabilities.
• App Store and Google Play preparation and publishing support.
• Ongoing coordination, iterations based on feedback, and post-launch support to ensure stability and usability.

We used a project management tool (Trello) to track development progress, while also using it as a central channel for ongoing communication and follow-up questions with the development team.
The project did not have a fixed deadline, as it involved taking over code from another developer and the scope was difficult to estimate. However, our requests and feedback were consistently addressed in a timely manner.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

A very human and trustworthy approach from the Pixelmate team, which is especially important in a field where, without deep technical know-how, it is impossible to fully understand everything. For me as a non-technical client, this was by far the most important factor.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Pixelmate could have done differently?

In some cases, even more proactive guidance could be beneficial, especially when working with non-technical clients. Clearly outlining possible scenarios early on—including those that might affect scope or budget—would help set expectations and make an already strong collaboration even smoother.

We hired Pixelmate to develop for us our first mobile app. Key feature of the app is to provide to an athlete / user personalized and in time dynamic training program based on athlete's fitness level and other parameters entered by the user.

We were searching for a vendor located in the Czech Republic to be able to meet with the development team personally. We had few candidates. We called them first and after this call we were right away sure that was the right partner for us. It the first meeting they brought alredy ideas how to make project alive and we saw there their passion in what they are doing. At the first meeting they helped us to bring our project to the next level.

Project was to develop a fitness app and its cloud administration interface by which we are able to provide customized training plans to users based on his fitness level. App uses Apple Pay for monthly subscriptions. In the App user can watch videos of movements and excercises to better undestand the training session.

We communicated with the project manager who led complete projet team and whole development process plus we communicated with frontend and backend developers, testing team though online ticket system to manage our requests for changes and bug reporting.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Having Pixelmate as our partner allowed us to bring our project and service to customers in time and without exceeding our target budget. With development fully cared by Pixelmate we are able to focus on marketing and fitness content for the app itself.

Project manager managed team consist of frontend, backend developers and testing. We had bi-weekly team call meeting to discuss and solve complex topic how app and its system should eventually works in order the app provides right traning plan for user. We communicated also through Trello online ticket system to report bugs and manage new request and changes.

Pixelmate in our eyes has valuable experience and wide understanding of digital product dynamics in different industries and fields. They are not just excell in software development, but also in business models of digital product and needed marketing to support product. They focus to provide moderd and state of the art design af app and user interface.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We dont see any. As we develop the app during first Covid shutdowns the situation was challeging by itselve thou we devlier all in time and launch of our service happened as planned.

We wanted to create a platform that would utilize people's mobile phones as smart sensors in a vast city network. People and drivers should share valuable information about free parking lots in real time and earn money with feeding the collaborating network.

Parking Maniacs is a parking navigation app based on a strong community and built like a game. Your earn money by providing real-time information about free parking spots around you. As a driver you can swap your place for another car or be navigated to your fellow driver who will leave his/her spot to you. A game in which you contribute real value to your community/city by navigating cars to the optimal parking spot, while saving fuel, lessening traffic jam and decreasing CO2 emissions.

The process is simple: As a driver leaving his spot you let us know where you go (like google window). Then you are transferred to your preferred navigation and ParkingManiacs platform will do the rest. It will tell the driver at the right time where the nearest parking spot is and how much time it's going to take to walk to the final destination.

We have got enough players to play together: leaving drivers, coming drivers, small business vans looking for spots to unload, lorry drivers on motorways looking desperately for places to do their routine breaks.

Using our neuron network and artificial intelligence, we are able to recognize the free space with just a point of your mobile. A successful match means extra cash for the giver and extra points for saved oxygen for both giver and taker.

Revenue for it's users, more oxygen to cities and a lot of fun on a gaming platform that is an information network in the same time.

Great.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I got to know Matyáš Mandík and his team in Pixelmate in Autumn 2019. I have already dismissed two design studios from my project and knew that I had the last chance to find a team that would help me finish the project. After our initial workshop, it was clear I was working with extraordinary designers.

With great creativity they unified the practical approach needed for a mobile app with the challenges of playful gamified design. Of all four sketches they presented every one of them brought an unique perspective. Pixelmate creates artistic design with great practicality.

The greatest pleasure was to present the design to other stakeholders on the project because, I simply did not need to explain anything. And that's the greatest achievement of application design. I will be glad to have them on board again.

We used to spend a lot of time on order emails, which were often incorrect. Now, the speed of our logistics and product presentation has improved significantly.

I love their energy. The Pixelmate team is so young and progressive. It was nice to see how they’d grown in the year we worked together.

Due to their growth, we sometimes had trouble meeting with the owners. But at the end of the day, we always caught up.

They inserted texts into prepared boxes and created photo and infographics. They also did SEO, wrote blogs, and tested functionality and responsive design for quite a long time.

We launched am RFP process for mobile app developers and came with a multi-criteria decision matrix. We invited each company to fill out a questionnaire and then present their work, team, and price parameters. We narrowed the selection to two finalists; after internal voting, we chose Pixelmate. 

Their outstanding pitch came with an excellent price, an impressive team structure, and top-notch references. Pixelmate came across as a group of dedicated professionals with enthusiasm, flexibility, and fresh ideas. The team also demonstrated an organized and professional approach to potential clients.

Describe the project in detail.

We first started with a series of investment crash-course meetings where we introduced Pixelmate to investing and robo-advisors. We described our goals and objectives in more detail, focusing on client segments, turnover, and related areas. We then presented Pixelmate with fleshed-out wireframes for both the web and mobile applications and their user flow. 

The team prepared the logo, look, and feel of the new app. After being presented with several options, we chose one to go with. Pixelmate then designed the screens for the web and mobile apps through three iteration rounds. After that, the team coded the look for all the web screens and built the mobile app completely—including its screens and logic. They also advised us on ways to improve the UX, user flow, and screen composition when needed

An account manager serves as our main point of contact. We also work with a project manager and a chief development coordinator who leads a few frontend developers for mobile and web applications.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project is not yet complete. However, Pixelmate has delivered a pilot app that regularly receives praise from audiences for its clean and straightforward design. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Pixelmate’s efficiency and professionalism are hallmarks of their work. We have lean and transparent communication with their team; both the project manager and CEO are only a phone call away if an unusual issue ever arises. We track tasks in Trello, and a status call takes place every week to review progress, needs, and open questions and to plan next week’s assignments. They record meeting minutes and send them out immediately after each status call.

Any deadlines missed come from our side. Pixelmate provides gentle reminders about any deliverables our team needs to produce; in some cases, they are willing to take on more work to keep the project moving.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Pixelmate is a young yet highly professional company that offers a high level of technical expertise. Their team is collaborative, willing to listen, and enjoyable to work with. They add value by thinking not only as software developers but also as business users when building our app and advising on the UX. I sometimes prefer more phone communication over using Trello to assign tasks. However, Trello provides greater transparency for the overall team, and at the end of the day, that’s more important to me.

The project manager was helpful, providing options—as well as their pros and cons—at each stage.  They were mostly responsive via email. In the end, we selected Pixelmate due to their professionalism and ability to offer a comprehensive solution. There were also interested in a prospective long-term collaboration to do web design and online marketing.

After agreeing on the technical specifications and deadlines, Pixelmate’s team provided the initial design, which suited our needs. They've provided a project manager who serves as our main point of contact, but there’s also a team representative who deals with any technical issues. We’ve met the whole team in person and have held several conference calls with them.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The website is live, but we haven’t promoted it publicly yet, so there hasn’t been a lot of anticipated traffic. Regardless, we’ve received absolutely positive feedback so far. During the development, we gave continuous feedback, which Pixelmate implemented immediately.

The project manager has been easy to communicate with. He provides us with updates, answers our inquiries, and passes our requests on to the appropriate team member. We use Trello to handle any technical issues and hold conference calls when necessary. They’ve always been capable of responding very quickly.

We’re most impressed by their commitment to the work. Progress has been fast right from to start, and they’ve found solutions to numerous technical challenges throughout. 

Are there any areas for improvement? 

No, not that I can see. We’ve been more than satisfied with Pixelmate’s overall cooperation and performance. They’ve provided high-quality service, and the results have met our expectations to the fullest extent.
