I’m the CEO of TeleMedicine Australia, a digital health company. We provide technologies that enable medical care and/or assistance.

We needed someone to help develop and design our mobile apps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They developed a few apps for us. One of the apps is a video conferencing platform like Skype. It collects patients’ medical data by communicating with digital services and medical devices. It’s an app for patients and doctors. The app connects to a number of medical devices that measure temperature, blood pressure, oxygen, etc. It collects the patient’s data and stores the data on the patient’s profile. Then, if the patient wants to consult with a doctor, they can book a consultation, pay by credit card, and get connected to the doctor. The app enables doctors to review patient charts, correspond with patients in video consultations, prescribe medication, and request X-rays or CT scans. PineSucceed Technologies developed the design and the app. The apps were built for iOS and Android. They used .NET in the backend. It’s a huge app. We had to work with a number of medical device companies and IT companies.

They are updating an app that they already developed. We have a couple of new apps that we’re developing and a couple of other apps in the pipeline.

What is the team composition?

There was an iOS team and an Android team. There were designers and a couple of people that tested the apps. There were 7–10 people in total.

How did you come to work withPineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

We reached out to a few companies in India and sent a couple of our medical team members there to meet them face-to-face. We gave tasks to three companies and evaluated their accuracy, code, design, spelling, and functioning, and decided to proceed with two companies. We had difficulties with one of those companies so we gave the project to PineSucceed Technologies. They put extra people on the team to compensate because they knew we were working with another company.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in 2012 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The app has been a success in Australia. We’re leveraging the app in a number of government tenders in which we want to utilize the app. For example, we are utilizing the app for in our work with Victoria Ambulance in Victoria, which is a big state in Australia. We are looking after patients who have difficulty accessing doctors after clinics are closed.

We’re satisfied with their performance, with the development of the app, and with the quality, which is why we continue working with them as our main provider of development.

How didPineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

We’re very satisfied with project management. They’ve been an honest and trustworthy team. They use Jira and provide clear documentation or the source codes. We haven’t had any problems in terms of IT privacy.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a good management team. They give satisfactory feedback. They offer technical support 24/7. Our team in Australia always gives positive comments regarding our developers in India.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In terms of iOS and Android, they update the app quickly. However, we wanted to expand into different platforms. Our production manager decided to develop the same programming in Unity. We had difficulty finding a team in India that could do that. PineSucceed Technologies knows the technology they develop in, but they need to improve on learning new technologies.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

It’s important to use a program management platform when working with companies India to allow you to follow the project, communicate, and provide feedback.

I’m the CTO of AmalgamRx, a digital health solutions startup focusing on mobile health (mHealth) solutions. One of our products, iSage, helps patients manage their diabetes. It requires physicians to prescribe a solution. The patients then download the app and provide the activation code to access the solution for insulin titration. Our second product is called Beyond, which is for psoriasis management.

What challenge were you trying to address with PineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

We needed mobile expertise. Specifically, we needed a library that could integrate with our solution and connect to various medical devices. We had to provide libraries for Android and iOS.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

PineSucceed worked on the integration of iSage with two glucose meters. One of our meters uses a continua standard and the other uses proprietary protocols. Based on the needs of that specific medical device, they’ll be extending the library. We intend to integrate more medical devices, including blood pressure monitors.

We worked with a project manager, two Android developers, and two iOS developers.

I found them on LinkedIn. Out of the 15 companies that I talked to, I chose PineSucceed because they had experience with healthcare products and integrating with medical devices. After their CTO explained the standards they’d used in other projects, I felt they were the right fit for our needs.

We’ve spent $24,000–$25,000 on their services.

We started working together in January 2018, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

So far, they’ve delivered two milestones. They’ve successfully provided us with the libraries that we needed.

How did PineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s been smooth so far, as they’ve met the timeline and budget. All the stories, sprints, ticketing, and issues are managed using Jira. They take the data out of that and present updates on PowerPoint. They have good communication skills and send the right data at the right time.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have a unique combination of healthcare experience and mobile app expertise for all native platforms. They support all the web stacks and have an in-house designer. Depending on their performance in the next few months, I can expand their involvement in our project.

None.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re honest with what they can and cannot deliver. Their pricing is quite reasonable compared to all the other vendors that I’ve worked with. If the project is right for them, they can deliver.

I’m the CEO of Dealer Toolbox. We handle several things for car dealerships including sticker generation, additional dealer markup generation, service scheduling, etc.

What challenge were you trying to address with PineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

I wanted to find someone good to help us build our platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed our software as a service (SaaS) platform, which is a way for us to keep track of sales so that we can report them back to the car dealership. They used PHP and MySQL. If it’s a group of car dealerships using our platform, they can see all of their lots and how each is doing.

What is the team composition?

I only deal with our main contact person, so I’m not sure how many people were working on the project.

How did you come to work with PineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd.?

I used some people on Freelancer before and didn’t have a good experience. I came across PineSucceed’s website and got in touch with them. I decided to give them a try and I’m glad that I did.

We spent between $14,000–$15,000 for this project.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2016. The platform was completed by September of the same year, though I still use them for other projects.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There are 30–40 car dealerships within 50 miles of where I live. I’ve been mostly marketing my platform locally and haven’t expanded much yet, though everybody that has used it loves it.

How did PineSucceed Technologies Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

They provide quality customer service with no language nor time barriers. If I had a question, even after business hours, I’d always get an answer back quickly. We usually communicated through Google Hangouts.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re available whenever I need them and are willing to work early mornings in case I need something delivered. They’re also very responsive. PineSucceed cares about their work and does a good job.
