Since 2011, US Technology Pros has chosen Percept Infotech ( Prakash Patel ) as a technology partner. And Percept Infotech has provided many technology solutions to US Technology Pros like Joomla, Wordpress, other CMS solutions as well as custom Database solutions and PHP. Please note this is not for only one project but we are technology partners ans they are my go to resource.

What were your goals for this project?

There have been a multitude of projects we have worked on and they have the same company vision that I have as being a "solution" based company. Simply put if you or your company can identify something that is a "sticking point" or costing you extra time and/or money they will create the solution.

They have allowed me take on more projects and grow my business.

They are very effective in their time management and maintain constant communication.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Being able to get in direct contact with the owner Prakash Patel basically 24/7. He will reply and work to get things done on time and on budget.

They are an excellent company to work with.

What challenge were you trying to address with Percept Infotech?

We needed someone to do programming work in specific languages that we didn’t have the expertise for in-house.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Percept Infotech did programming work in PHP, HTML, CSS, and MySQL. We have some expertise with these languages in-house, but it was more efficient to have them do it. We did the design and they handle the programming.

Our main point of contact was a project manager.

How did you come to work with Percept Infotech?

We tried different companies, but Percept Infotech was the most consistent, communicative, and clear.

How much have you invested with them?

Since the start of the project, we have spent over $100,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in January 2011 and it is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They have really been able to do tasks that we can’t do in-house. More challenging programming tasks are able to be taken on. They contribute to the success of our company, so when customers are happy with us, that streamlines directly to them.

How did Percept Infotech perform from a project management standpoint

They are really good and are able to handle multiple projects at a given time. They have great communication skills and are consistent in responding to the same email thread. Typically they don’t use a whole lot of project management tools, it is more on us, but they've been great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They are always consistent, have great communication skills, and are able to handle multiple projects in a timely fashion. In my experience, they are a trustworthy and reliable partner.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they do everything we need and expect.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you are detail-oriented and communicate clearly. Things can be taken differently and there are always different ways to do things, so, be clear from the start of your expectations.

I manage the homeschool division of Precept Marketing called HomeWorks, running IT, sales, and marketing processes. We have a direct sales force that sells products including Christian school textbooks and homeschool curriculum across the US.

What challenge were you trying to address with Percept Infotech?

Years and years ago, I set up our website, so it was 14–15 years old. Percept Infotech came on to expand the platform and improve its capabilities.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Percept Infotech built the website that our HomeWorks consultants use. There’s a public-facing portion of the platform that any customer can access to learn about our business and products as well as a member area that’s similar to a CRM. Our staff consultants use the product to manage customers and place orders.

Their team modified the e-commerce system that we’ve used, which was geared towards customers. They revised the system because our consultants place orders for customers. The basic e-commerce functions remain intact, but our consultants can order products under a customer’s profile.

Percept Infotech has leveraged PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL to create several features. They built calendar and form systems built into the product. Their team also integrated a forum where consultants can talk, search functionalities, and a tagging system. They also created a public-facing blog, categories, and filters.

We’ve worked together for years. Usually, we do 5–6 big projects a year with Percept Infotech to improve backend processes constantly.

Mostly, we’ve worked with one person from Percept Infotech, but another person has supported their work.

How did you come to work with Percept Infotech?

Years and years ago, I found Percept Infotech on a freelancer website.

How much have you invested with them?

Over the years, we’ve spent between $50,000–$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together 8–10 years ago and the engagement’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

With how much we built it up and changed it, their team has created an almost completely different website. Frequently, I’ve said I need a feature and don’t need to talk on a detailed level to get what I want exactly. Percept Infotech has made it happen. I trust them to get the job done. That’s the partnership we have. We’ve worked together for so long that we just understand what each other wants.

How did Percept Infotech perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team has always met deadlines but I don’t really give deadlines. I’ll give them the project and they’ll dive right into it. Sometimes, the products will be delivered the next day. There has never been a time when they’ve been behind.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Unlike other vendors, I’ve never had concerns when working with Percept Infotech. They have immediate access to our databases because they’re that trustworthy. Their team has good communication skills. There shouldn’t be any hesitancy towards working with them.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’ve never handed Percept Infotech a project that they’ve had a problem managing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

For an initial project, be as detailed as possible about what you’re looking for. There’s a difference in time zone, so response times won’t be immediate.

We ran across Prakash (Percept Infotech) almost 10 years ago when searching for a vendor for a small Joomla development project. At that time, Prakash had some good references.

Prakash has been providing Javascript and PHP coding services for us for almost 10 years for small to large complex projects.

Prakash always knew how to size his team correctly, it's not something we had to actively manage.
