What challenge were you trying to address with Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd?

I was trying to develop a user-friendly, easy-to-navigate, and professional-looking app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Patel-Apps helped me developed my app from scratch. I started the actual prototypes, and they handled everything from design to production. 

I provided the concept for the app — I drew out on paper how I want the app’s flow to go, and I sent that to Patel-Apps. To finalize the wireframing, we talked for around 2–3 weeks and discussed all details until we got to a point where they became familiar with my app. They then created the color scheme, functionalities, and everything else. They developed the app for Android and iOS. 

Patel-Apps added a feature that allowed users to look at maps and find the nearest police department based on zip code, city, state, or country within the app. They uploaded the app on HostGator for security and kept it running there. They then linked the app to Google Play and Apple Store.

I only dealt with one person from Patel-Apps, but I don’t know how many people actually worked on the project.

I found them online. 

How much have you invested with them?

I spent about $4,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement lasted from August–December 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We still don’t have any metrics because app development is only the first phase. We’re currently establishing our website and social media presence, as well as building a marketing and management team so we can start promotion for the official release of the app. 

Everybody who saw my app — including friends, potential customers, and business owners — said my app was smart, and they liked it. Nobody has anything like it on the market. 

How did Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Patel-Apps was on top of project management. Their communication was the best point about working with their company. Sometimes, I wasn’t ready for the steps they wanted to take, and they helped me become prepared. I’ve run a business before, but this is my first app development project — when I didn’t know something, they took the time to explain it point by point. 

Even though Patel-Apps was based overseas, we had no issues conversing in English. We established dialogue, and they were very impressive communicators. We mainly communicated via Skype and text messaging. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed that, once I told Patel-Apps what I wanted to do, and they saw all the specs and details, they gave me a price. My problem with the other companies I went through was, after telling them exactly what I want, they would quote a price between $10,000–$100,000. Additionally, they couldn’t tell me a definite time when the app would be completed and would only say between 6–12 months. 

Patel-Apps quoted me a price and gave me a completion date. They delivered the app on schedule, and if anything, I held them up from completing the project because I didn’t plan as thorough as I should have. However, despite delays on my end, they still finished the app within the deadline.     

Are there any areas they could improve?

Patel-Apps went above and beyond on this project, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Get everything you want in your app. Look at other apps to see how they run and figure out all the necessary parts. The more details you give Patel-Apps, the better their output will be.

We are a corporate branding agency that promotes our clients’ success by consistently developing unique branding, software, and content solutions to help you build (customer and employee) loyalty, create targeted brand awareness, and improve sales.

As a Technical Product Manager, I manage every project from development to deployment - continuous redeployment.

Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd was hired to develop and enhance the features of our applications especially as it has to do with various performance issues and new features were also added.

We worked on multiple projects - mobile and web, and they assisted us in some cloud deployment problems we counted in a particular period, every task was professionally executed within the time frame.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to get some of our applications working; add new features to the designs and ensure it correlates with the objective of the apps, and this has been achieved.

I was able to contact Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd through Fiverr. I communicated with the developer and gave him an assignment our previous developers couldn't execute and he was able to fix the problem in less than 20mins. I was thrilled, I onboarded the developer and it's been worthwhile working with this firm.

Describe the project in detail.

Basically, we work on multiple projects; A social networking apps that connect apprentices to professionals and allow them to share their experiences on the application. this also has a chat feature, allows users to share resources and job openings in related fields. We also worked on a property management app.

The objective of this app was to allow property owners to register property managers and assign each manager roles to manage - check-in/checkout visitors, entered by residences in different locations. From complaints to reporting emergencies, this app solves a broader part of problems encountered by owners, residents, and visitors of a particular property.

Some administrative web application software was built to manage all activities of users of these apps.

What was the team composition?

The team consists of a Techincal Product Manager, 2Product Designers, Full stack developers for both mobile and web.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Most of the problems with our apps relate to performance issues and this was resolved after Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd took over the projects. We finished before deadlines and positive feedback was given.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communications is key and Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd always reaches out, through our various means of communication to the Project Manager to share ideas and solutions to the problems we faced.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd shows great execution within a stated timeline to achieve our goals.

Developers at Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd are true professionals, their first impression which was below 20mins of displaying their technical know-how helped us to keep our client because we would have lost a great client if we didn't find professional developers to provide us the quality we demand.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project was a government project with our company. We asked them to create a social media platform app in September 2016. In 2018, we had a Philippine directory project for the government as well.

The most current project is a mobile app for restaurants that we started in September 2019, and it’s still ongoing. The apps are made available by Google and iOS. They also provide us with the database. They do all the programming using Java and other programming languages.

What is the team composition?

We were able to bring 2-3 people from India to visit us in the Philippines twice now. I’m not sure the total number on the team. I believe it’s 5-10 people per project.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $25,000.

We started working together in September 2016, and the collaboration is ongoing.

The fact they’ve gotten four projects from us means we’re satisfied with their work. Because they delivered, we were able to deliver to our own clients. They’re very good with social media platforms.

They deliver on time and achieve milestones. We communicate via email, Skype calls, and Zoom. If we need to have a face-to-face meeting, they visit our offices. They make themselves available and communicate well.

They have a good command of their field. They’re really good at software development.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’m always looking for improvement. They’re very competitive and demand certain pricing because they know they can deliver. If they could adjust the price slightly, they'd be perfect.

Communication is a very important aspect. You have to be very clear on what you want and make sure that they understand.

I don’t know how many people were involved. I worked directly with Nirav (Director), who disseminated all the information to his team.

What is the status of this engagement?

The projects I had with Patel-Apps ran between July–October 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They developed the games quickly, and they were accurate in addressing my requirements. The games they developed got a lot of downloads. All my clients were fully satisfied with Patel-Apps’ work, and I never heard a complaint. They provide quality services as well.

How did Patel-Apps Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

I coordinated all deadlines with them, and they always delivered on time. We used Skype and WhatsApp for communication. They were responsive whenever I asked them for clarification or for support, even after regular business hours. I can’t say anything negative when it comes to communication. They were always there to support me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The reason I kept choosing them as a development team is for the support they provide. I’m not a technical person, but I knew that they’d always be there to give guidance.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t say anything negative about them. Compared to other teams, Patel-Apps was very responsive, and the quality was good. They implemented designs exactly how I asked, and they were supportive in providing any necessary changes. From the very start, they were the development team I preferred the most.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

It’s important to communicate requirements clearly. Once something is developed, it’s hard to change, and it may take time.
