We have been working with Paras for the past year on the development of a native Android, iOS, and web app that helps college students prepare their resumes, improve their interviewing skills, and land internships at well-known companies. Our software and AI automate many of these processes. Prototyping took 5 months and our beta has been under private development for the past 7 months. We expect to be in production in about two months finally.

Project management could be improved through something like Jira to communicate weekly deliverables and outcomes better, and I’ve had to learn to be flexible with what I expect to see completed during each weekly sprint, but overall I’ve trusted them for the past year, and I have every intention of working with them for years to come.

I worked on the development of global technology-enabled platforms, and then embarked on a journey to create some of the most innovative AI software in the market. Oftentimes there are no clear answers and no solutions for what we want to do, but each step of the way Paras and I have had a “we’ll figure it out” mindset that has allowed us to garner the support of Google in the research and architectural design of our most complicated feature, and this is truly the most invaluable and impressive quality about this company.

They should definitely start using better product management tools like Jira to track deliverables.

I'm a partner in a new startup company and responsible for the development of the TIAS web application. Our accounting application is SaaS that enables teams of people to comment, markup, approve and pay invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.

We engaged Paras Technologies to develop our SaaS web application that could enable our customers' people to comment, markup, approve and pay invoices. They also assisted us in selecting the appropriate and cost effective software tools to make it happen.

After an online search, we invited Paras Technologies and few other companies to review our detailed specifications. Through this review, Paras Technologies demonstrated a good understanding of what we were trying to accomplish and suggested a few different approaches in terms of development software and services that were practical and made sense to us.

The project was to develop a web application that would enable organizations to efficiently process invoices received from their subcontractors and suppliers. The application was designed to upload and classify invoices and then route them to specific people for review, comment, authorization for payment and then download the invoice record. A detailed scope of work was provided to Paras Technologies that enabled them to understand the concept and details of the project. This also allowed them to quickly start developing which involved different accesses and views depending on the user role. A key deliverable was to display the invoice and allow people to mark it up and add their comments. In collaboration with Paras, we were able to develop this deliverable that is easy to use. The application was built on a MS stack.

The Paras development team had 4 people involved in the project: a project manager, front end developer, back developer and QA.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Overall, we are very happy with the look and performance of the application.

Our project manager was excellent to work with and organized throughout the development of the application. For the most part, we used Skype to communicate (both calls and notes) and we found the online prototype tool to review the different screens very helpful.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What impressed us was our initial calls with Paras as they took the time to understand the project and talk to us in non-technical terms (we are the business people) and suggested improvements in our approach. In doing so, we felt confident in choosing them to undertake the work. During the development phase, we thought that some of features would be challenging to develop. However, the Paras team seemed to solve them quite easily. Most of all, the entire Paras team was pleasant and collaborated with us very well.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

In our experience from past projects there are always issues that occur especially when with working a new developer. Part of this is due to people becoming familiar with each other as they work through the project. While we communicated reasonably well, I think our group should have spent a little more time reviewing the scope of work at the beginning of the development phase. This would have help avoid some missteps in developing some of the functions of the application. In addition, it would have been helpful to have a tool to track and manage the questions, comments, changes and corrections throughout the project.

Their project management style was clear and straightforward. We were able to test at every phase and give our feedback and they were able to keep improving the code until we were satisfied

We were impressed with the new project manager who were able to get the project back on track and ready to launch

Perhaps if the developers could pay more attention to detail and make sure everything is the same quality as the design and well tested. It would have saved some time at the testing phase to minimize back and forth testing. But they did the hard bits very well as well

We are very happy about the outcomes of the project. Each delivarables complied with the defined for us.

The project management style was very good, with very close communications and with a very good time of response from Paras Technologies.

For me. Paras Technologies and its team are very committed to their clients and answer all the questions we had during the development of the project.

Like any company, there are always areas to improve. I particularly believe that they should pay more attention to project documentation. However, they are always willing to resolve any inconvenience that may arise during the development of the project. I am very happy with the results obtained.

On Freelancer.com they are shown as a preferred freelancer with lots of good reviews. (However I've discovered there is a way the developers can prevent you from leaving a review where you need their permission, which is the same in this case).

MEAN Stack was agreed (he tried to change it 5 months into development to cut the costs). 6 milestones were agreed at a fixed price to complete the project.

There should have been 7 in total. So far I've worked with 4 of them.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

This has been a terrible, time consuming & costly experience with Harish and his team from Paras Technologies who demanded more money 5 months into the job for a fixed price project.

Firstly note the majority of this developers reviews are from their staff. I am a British company who agreed on a fixed price project with this developer on Freelancer.com. It took several weeks to prepare the scope of work. We spent a very long time discussing the project and agreed a price of $12,000USD for this first phase of the project.

After 4 months of a frustratingly slow design phase, we were meant to start development. He then asked for an additional $3,180 USD, then the following week this increased to $7,000 due to "extra features". I agreed to remove them but then he still refused to do the work. At one point that then rose to $9,000 USD. He refused to communicate with me ignoring me for nearly 2 weeks.

I have now discovered he did this so that the time for me to leave him a review on the freelancer platform would expire (I never knew this) but clearly he did. Then once that time was expired he cancelled the project. Really he just wanted the additional money. Waste of time.

IMPORTANT NOTE: He will reply saying that I asked for extra work for free. That is simply not true. I know because he was lying to freelancer.com about it but they refunded my money. Infact even when we agreed to NOT do the so called "extra work", he stated he still needed $7,000 USD more.

He said that is because he now thinks the original scope of work is more work than he thought it would be. This coming from a guy who apparently manages lots of large contracts and over 70 staff. You'll see that before the project started he promised to complete the project even at a loss. Now I am at a huge loss financially and 5 months behind schedule.

I will now have to engage other developers and start from the very beginning. I've spent money on forming a new company, legal fees which are expensive in the UK, design fees, contracts and all sorts of other costs I've incurred. This is 5 months into the project.

I paid him, in full, on time, everytime. I even released money to him early so that he could pay his staff despite the milestone not being completed. Never work with this developer on any project. You've been warned. DO NOT TRUST HIM OR HIS TEAM.

Only cares about getting the work and money. Poor communication throughout. Ignores messages when it is about a problem relating to his team.

Nothing is impressive. Just another con development company.

Yes. They shouldn't agree on a fixed price project with a detailed scope of work if they will not complete it.

Although our project is not yet live, our success lies in the fact that other projects were brought to us due to interest in the market. The workflow has been great. Even with the time difference of ten hours we are able to communicate and get our milestones accomplished

I do a lot of work with backend development, but they supported me. They also provided native iOS and Android development. I gave them all the design requirements at the beginning. It took a little while to explain all my ideas, but as I developed personal relationships with their team members, they started making comments on my requirements and offering suggestions for new features or improvements.

The backend developer works in ASP.NET, C#, and Azure cloud management. We have an SQL server and work in Microsoft IIS. On the frontend, they do native iOS and Android development on their side.

Initially, I spoke through a project manager with the developers. They relayed how the project was going and acted as my primary point of contact. A month or two after I hired them, I went to India and then started working directly with the developers.

I reached out to development teams through Upwork, and I found Paras Technologies after they submitted a bid. I've since visited their offices twice, and our main point of contact hosted me personally while I was there.

We've spent about $125,000 on all the projects we've worked on together.

Our collaboration ran between October 2017-May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our company has gone through tests and a few soft launches. The main goals have changed a couple of times, and we started over on a few of the specifics. We've built up our userbase, and the quality of Paras Technologies’ work helped us go viral without much effort. We've paused the work for the moment, but we hope to start again soon.

How did Paras Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

As a developer, I know the specific questions to ask about the progress. Throughout our entire collaboration, I was in daily contact. I set the rules of how I communicated with them, and decided to interact directly with the individual developers, bypassing the project manager. We had a group chat, and their owner monitored everything, kept everyone on task, and ensured all the deliverables met my standards.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The relationships I have with them are extremely important. It was a great experience, and we've grown very close. In essence, I lived with them for three months. Their involvement was very good, and I feel like more than just another client.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They can do a lot, but they were sometimes too eager to please. I'm an expert in a lot of these technologies, and I noticed when that eagerness resulted in some mild over-selling. I've encountered the same with other agencies, so that's not a specific indictment of them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Daily communication is important. I was very involved in the project, and they responded well to me.

We would not have a business without Paras Technologies and their full commitment to us and our project. They have a full compliment of skilled technicians and we only utilize a small portion of them. They are amazing at adjusting their staffing to facilitate any and all projects.

We have a compliment of people who work closely with our in house software team and work is done daily with full reporting, issues, resting and deployment. We control all software through git and find this to be a perfect solution to manage and control workflow.
