At the start, we had a clear idea of what we wanted. But once we got into it, a lot of small things didn’t quite fit together. There were a few points where we had to stop and rethink parts of the system. I remember one phase where we kept going back to how data moves between sections, it became a bigger focus than expected. Some features we planned early ended up being dropped because they just added complexity. Most of the time went into making sure the core parts worked properly rather than adding more.
