I am Marketing Executive and in charge of IT Business project at Ecotrade Group. We are a purchaser of scrap catalytic converters, and over the last 15 years we have built up a huge database of knowledge from which the company has developed a comprehensive application that lists more than 15,000 items and increasing almost daily. By providing quick and easy appraisals that quickly let sellers know whether they’re getting a fair deal or not, Ecotrade Group levels the playing field and improves sellers’ negotiating positions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Outsourcify?

A web application using Symfony framework. 

What were your goals for this project?

It had to offer an all-inclusive solution for the company. Designed as a CRM software with a custom CMS, it has to give the ability for our sales team and technical team to manage suppliers, products, content on the website, etc.

Another service provider recommended them.

They designed, developed, and configured a backend business management solution together with a web application. They have been working on it for a few years now, developing new features.

What was the team composition?

Benoit, the CEO, and his wife designed the original version five years ago, but the company has grown a lot since with over 20 employees. We now have two lead developers working on our project.

It has had great results, and we love the feedback from our end users.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We work essentially with Teamwork for project management, along with Skype for communication, which has proven to be effective and straightforward.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Reactivity and adaptation.

We have been happy so far with their work. I can't see any area of improvement at the moment.

We used an issue tracker where I could see the progress in real time. The project manager was always communicating if they needed something, and they were always on time.

I most appreciated their rapidness in answering questions and their respect for deadlines.

They’re great, but can always be better. Additional testing of the interface would be a good improvement.

They were in charge of developing a complex e-commerce food website with multiple product categories. It was important to have a WordPress website that followed our exact specifications. We provided a super clean design that included all the functions requested by our client. Outsourcify also provided hosting and installation.

We were in contact with their CEO, and about four other persons were involved in our project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The speed, quality, and communication have been great. We always force the timeline by about 30% of their estimate, and they always submit the project on time. The working procedure, testing, design, and documentation have been awesome.

How did Outsourcify perform from a project management standpoint?

Outsourcify's project management has been great. They always deliver on time. We communicate in Thai (50%), English (30%), and Lao (20%).

What did you find most impressive about them?

They create a homey atmosphere.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could arrange a support time for different working periods. For example, in Laos, especially the government, they start working at 8 a.m. and end at 4 p.m. However, Outsourcify starts from 9 a.m. or 10 a.m. and ends at 7 p.m.
