Orion InfoSolutions has helped us design and develop a blockchain app for Android from scratch. Currently, they also help us with other projects related to mobile development, software development, web design, UI design, and SaaS product development. Additionally, they offer maintenance and hosting services.

The technology stack for the mobile app includes Java and Flutter, and Orion InfoSolutions used Adobe for the designs. It has several features, such as a tab for social login, a signup tab, the ability to support various profiles, and an on-demand booking tab. Moreover, it lets users see the estimated time of arrival for a taxi, has real-time detail booking capabilities, and offers flexible billing and payment options. Additionally, it supports notifications via email and mobile alerts.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to take the customer feedback into account. The product was working properly although we could make it more user friendly and with a better look and feel.

How did you select this vendor?

In September 2018, we wanted to hire someone in our team to be responsible for the UX/UI side of our product.

We looked into candidate databases, and within the candidates we screened, we found a potential local employee called Surbhi. We contacted Surbhi, and it turned out to be one of the code names Orion InfoSolutions uses to get in touch with small companies or entrepreneurs.

After convincing us that hiring an external company is better than hiring an employee (more flexibility, experience, resources, etc.), they listened very carefully to the project scope and details and quoted a very attractive price for the services to be provided.

They made a lot of promises in a convincing way (especially to people that is used to deal with professional people and companies).

After they convinced us, they asked for 50% of the quoted amount to be paid upfront, with the rationale to share the project risks. We accepted and we agreed on several milestones to show the progress of their work.

What was the team composition?

Behind Surbhi's code name, there are Mr. Lakhan and Mr. DC. We were in touch with Mr. Lakhan, who acted as the project coordinator from Orion InfoSolutions side.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

After the upfront payment, the rest of the time was spent on entertaining the conversation by sending some mock-ups, sharing difficulties such as server problems, etc., and nothing else.

In March 2019 we asked to get the money back, as none of the commitments and milestones had been respected. Although we are still trying to get the money back or the service provided (although it is too late). They continue with the strategy of providing excuses.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was very poor from the moment we paid until February 2019. Mr. Lakhan listened, made commitments, gave his word, and then nothing happened. When they had to explain why they kept missing commitments, there was always an excuse (from relatives in hospital to being sick).

After March 2019, the communication is kept alive by us asking Orion InfoSolutions to refund the money or provide the service. Overall, I see it as a SCAM were you know the people behind the scenes.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Nothing to be mentioned. The whole process was pretty mediocre.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I don't know whether this refund will ever be possible. However, I am writing to all professionals and entrepreneurs that cross-paths with Mr. DC or Mr. Lakhan to be very alert about their strategies.

If I look back, I see that there were enough pieces of evidence not to get into this commercial relationship, but anybody that has been in a start-up will understand that with all the fronts we have open, we only want to execute (successfully), as soon as possible.

First we had a whole team meeting to discuss about our project. After that we decided in which technologies this project would be developed. And the development phases were pretty straightforward like the first step was expanding GAME CONCEPT, then they started the pre-production stage, then production, testing, post-production and finally publishing my final game. They took full responsibility of my project and completed it on time.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It was a wonderful experience working with the Orion Info Solutions teams. Their teams also have high technical knowledge and many years of work experience. My decision to choose him was absolutely right and I am very happy with his work. My best experience with him was the way he handled the pressure of this project and the level of communication network he had is quite good but not the best. I never felt missing anything about my project. They follow giving end-to-end details about the development stages and all. The overall experience with them was completely satisfying and helpful.

The Project leader was experienced and he constantly delivered me every bit of details related to my project. Not only the Project leader was good but also the whole team was knows their responsibilities and how much this project was crucial and important for me. As for the communication tools they mostly use Skype, Google meet, whatsapp, and Direct calls. The final timeline was 4 months and they delivered my project with complete functionality within 4 months.

I find the most impressive and unique thing about Orion InfoSolutions is their work structure. The mobile game app development skill and knowledge they have is incredibly amazing. They handled every thing with calmness.
