The team is extremely organized and detail-oriented. They delivered ahead of every due date and even went live with programs much sooner than we anticipated. We have weekly progress calls, but they keep in contact with us on running projects regularly. They are extremely proactive when seeing an area of opportunity to work on to help ads continuously improve. If there's ever been a question, they respond within minutes, even at odd hours.

Greg at Openmoves provided a full Adwords setup for the US arm of a worldwide not-for-profit, promoting healthcare in the Middle East (Project Rozana). Our US site saw a massive increase in traffic because of his on-going work. And more traffic meant more donations (which he monitored) and more opportunity to inform. Not-for-profits get Adwords for free, BUT they have to adhere to very strict guidelines. 
Greg always kept the campaigns in line and working, and reguarly kept us informed. The help from Open Moves was invaluable. On top of that Open Moves were a delight to work with. Adwords and the setup gets complex but it was made simple for us. As a client we could not have asked for more. As the webguy I was a primary contact and got to know them well, and recommend them 100%.

There was a time when it seemed that we were coasting with some of the PPC-related services. When we brought it to their attention, they remedied the situation and we worked together to make changes on the account. Our current PPC reps are great!

I’m the VP of a company that manufactures and distributes specific products that go into steel construction work.

What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?

We sell a lot of very specific items and unique things needed for construction projects done by steel fabricators. However, we found it difficult to get our target audience to remember us for these unique items. Given that these fabricators frequently go straight to Google and other search engines to find the products they need, we wanted to get ranked for these very specific words.

We had struggled for 5–8 years to get ranked on search engines, and we had tried both on our own and with other people’s assistance but weren’t going anywhere. Then, we found OpenMoves.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

OpenMoves provides us with SEO, PPC, and other marketing services. Initially, they focused mostly on keyword research and SEO to try to get ranked higher in search engines organically. However, our field had become very competitive, and bigger companies had been investing in their positioning efforts for quite some time. Therefore, OpenMoves started focusing on PPC and other types of Google Ads, which worked better for us.

OpenMoves has driven the project most of the time. Still, they usually tell us which pieces of content they need, and we generate them because our content is very industry-specific, so not everyone can just generically write them. Then, they take that content and restructure it if needed.

Besides Google, our advertising efforts have also focused on Bing. Additionally, OpenMoves maintains a Facebook presence for us, but we don’t do Facebook Ads. Their team has also helped us with backlinking, and they take over web development tasks when needed. For example, they’ve asked us to redesign entire sections of our website, for which we provide them with the information and authorization, and they do the rest.

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from OpenMoves, including Jason (Senior SEO Specialist).

How did you come to work with OpenMoves?

I found them through a recommendation from another manufacturer. This person had also gone through several service providers without finding success until he found OpenMoves. At the time, I interviewed them and around 10 other companies, but I ultimately hired OpenMoves because I found them to be very effective.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around $250,000 so far, including the ad spend.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

OpenMoves has done a great job of getting us to the front page of search results. Five years ago, we got less than one inquiry a day on average. Now, we get between 10–20 inquiries daily. Given that we sell very specific products, some inquiries can be worth around $25,000.

How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?

OpneMoves is very efficient, clear, and concise. They tell us what they need from us to get something done, and once we give it to them, they get it done. We mostly communicate via phone calls and emails, although we have occasional Zoom meetings. Additionally, they use CallRail for call tracking and marketing analytics.

What did you find most impressive about them?

OpenMoves’ understanding of search engine algorithms and the metrics required to get high rankings is outstanding.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t know if there’s something OpenMoves could do better. They’ve been very effective so far.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have any particular advice because it depends on the client’s situation. OpenMoves works perfectly for getting highly specific products ranked on page one of search results.

They have worked with us to run simultaneous ads and see which get better results and continue fine tuning to get the best results. They also chart which months we get the most hits and dive deep into the why and how so we can continue to push those 'buttons' Lastly, we wanted to better our email marketing. They put us on Klaviyo and have helped us reduce our bounce back and junk mail issues.

We have only owned the college for 1.5 years and we have already had the largest start the college has seen in the last 6 years.

In the beginning we had a bi-weekly meeting with the entire team. Once things were set in place, we switch to a monthly meeting. In between those meetings, we email on a regular basis for any updates or issues we may see. They are unbelievable in their response time.
