Our engagement with OpenMoves began with letting them know our goals and our company’s strong push for lead-generating activities. The team helped us understand and leverage the viable markets for us such a social media ads, display ads, Google Ads, and Microsoft ads.
OpenMoves has helped us test various strategies while sticking to our budgets. They supply us with critical reporting and current trends, so we are always kept up to date with the status of our PPC campaigns. They also take reporting to another level work very closely with us to understand the quality of the leads we are getting in order to constantly evaluate and amend our campaigns as needed.

He's been very helpful as we've expanded our territories outside of North America. Francisco is our representative for our social ad campaigns, he is a true expert in social media ads and is very informative and insightful when it comes to developing new strategies.

Since implementing PPC with OpenMoves, we have seen a drastic increase in lead-gen and conversions to sales qualified opportunities. Our SERP ranking has improved and is constantly improving.

The OpenMoves team has been exceptional with communicating with our team. They are very professional with quick turnaround times. If we have an expansion plan / need something updated or enhanced in anyway, they usually respond the same day and are always willing to help as quickly as possible. Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the VP of a company that manufactures and distributes specific products that go into steel construction work.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We sell a lot of very specific items and unique things needed for construction projects done by steel fabricators. However, we found it difficult to get our target audience to remember us for these unique items. Given that these fabricators frequently go straight to Google and other search engines to find the products they need, we wanted to get ranked for these very specific words.
We had struggled for 5–8 years to get ranked on search engines, and we had tried both on our own and with other people’s assistance but weren’t going anywhere. Then, we found OpenMoves.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
OpenMoves provides us with SEO, PPC, and other marketing services. Initially, they focused mostly on keyword research and SEO to try to get ranked higher in search engines organically. However, our field had become very competitive, and bigger companies had been investing in their positioning efforts for quite some time. Therefore, OpenMoves started focusing on PPC and other types of Google Ads, which worked better for us.
OpenMoves has driven the project most of the time. Still, they usually tell us which pieces of content they need, and we generate them because our content is very industry-specific, so not everyone can just generically write them. Then, they take that content and restructure it if needed.
Besides Google, our advertising efforts have also focused on Bing. Additionally, OpenMoves maintains a Facebook presence for us, but we don’t do Facebook Ads. Their team has also helped us with backlinking, and they take over web development tasks when needed. For example, they’ve asked us to redesign entire sections of our website, for which we provide them with the information and authorization, and they do the rest.
What is the team composition?
We work with three people from OpenMoves, including Jason (Senior SEO Specialist).
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
I found them through a recommendation from another manufacturer. This person had also gone through several service providers without finding success until he found OpenMoves. At the time, I interviewed them and around 10 other companies, but I ultimately hired OpenMoves because I found them to be very effective.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent around $250,000 so far, including the ad spend.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
OpenMoves has done a great job of getting us to the front page of search results. Five years ago, we got less than one inquiry a day on average. Now, we get between 10–20 inquiries daily. Given that we sell very specific products, some inquiries can be worth around $25,000.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
OpneMoves is very efficient, clear, and concise. They tell us what they need from us to get something done, and once we give it to them, they get it done. We mostly communicate via phone calls and emails, although we have occasional Zoom meetings. Additionally, they use CallRail for call tracking and marketing analytics.

I don’t know if there’s something OpenMoves could do better. They’ve been very effective so far.

They have worked with us to run simultaneous ads and see which get better results and continue fine tuning to get the best results. They also chart which months we get the most hits and dive deep into the why and how so we can continue to push those 'buttons' Lastly, we wanted to better our email marketing. They put us on Klaviyo and have helped us reduce our bounce back and junk mail issues.

I’m the marketing director of an automation machinery firm.

I am the media lead at a full service dental office, which is rapidly growing across 5 cities. I focus on all media planning and buying for growing the company.

We were growing not only the number of locations, but also the number of services we offer to our patients. We hired OpenMoves first to run our PPC efforts by capturing hyper-local demand. We then hired them to run our SEO efforts, again focusing on hyper-local SEO growth.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We followed a referral and received an audit from them, along with three other companies. After hearing their proposal and how they could improve traffic and conversion rate, we were most impressed with them.

We had an initial kick off call where we gave them a debrief on the background of our entire business. They started with basic account clean up and learning our business. Then we went through two different account restructures to optimize our paid search efforts. They helped launch new campaigns as well as new lines of business.

We were assigned an account manager, 2 PPC leads, a reporting lead, and other support as well.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since using OpenMoves our PPC conversion rate improved 100% and we saw increased volume of conversions as well.

We use both email and slack to communicate, and they are very responsive. We have a weekly call, in which I send a recap of next steps after. One piece of feedback I have is that they were a bit slow in confirming receipt or notifying us of when things went live.

I'm impressed with how they're able to keep up with all the various changes in our project.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Very unique to our needs, but it would be great if their analyst and the search team connected more on recommendations, and brought actionable next steps to the table.

The campaigns were very successful. In the period after starting with OpenMoves, we determined that our advertising ROI had tripled compared to the period prior. For every dollar in, we acquired more customers who spent more money with us. A big piece of this is credited to their optimizations of our accounts.

Our engagement with OpenMoves began with letting them know our goals and our company’s strong push for lead-generating activities. OpenMoves helped us facilitate keyword research and performed an analysis of our competitors to develop optimal PPC campaigns. The team helped us understand and leverage the viable markets for us such a social media ads, display ads, Google Ads, and Microsoft ads.
OpenMoves has helped us test various strategies while sticking to our budgets. They supply us with critical reporting and current trends, so we are always kept up to date with the status of our PPC campaigns. They also take reporting to another level work very closely with us to understand the quality of the leads we are getting in order to constantly evaluate and amend our campaigns as needed.

Between 3-5 people from OpenMove's have worked with our team. One gentleman, Alex, has been constant since we first started working with the OM team. He helps facilitate the meetings and the overall strategies, and helps us understand key PPC best practices. From there, we have been working very closely with Perikles who handles our Google Ads, who is very professional and is always looking for new ways to boost engagement for us.
He's been very helpful as we've expanded our territories outside of North America. Francisco is our representative for our social ad campaigns, he is a true expert in social media ads and is very informative and insightful when it comes to developing new strategies.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since implementing PPC with OpenMoves, we have seen a drastic increase in lead-gen and conversions to sales qualified opportunities. Our SERP ranking has improved and is constantly improving.

The OpenMoves team has been exceptional with communicating with our team. They are very professional with quick turnaround times. If we have an expansion plan / need something updated or enhanced in anyway, they usually respond the same day and are always willing to help as quickly as possible. They are quick to explain what they need from us and the timeline they project for any new plans to be implemented.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their overall knowledge of the PPC industry is very impressive and keeps us feeling confident in OpenMoves to keep driving our results in the right direction. With digital marketing and Google Ads, etc. ever-changing, it is tough for a small company like ours to keep up with the ever changing algorithm rules and strategies, so it's easy for us to fallback on OpenMoves to be the first to know what changes may be coming and what they can do to help us at any time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We believe companies always have means to improve! But OpenMoves does a great job of managing our PPC behind the scenes so we don't have to. We have full confidence in them to keep our campaigns running successfully.
