Please describe your company and your position there.
Our company is in the network security space, specializing in DDoS attack protection. I manage all global digital marketing efforts, from our PPC relationship, website enhancements and social media. I also own and manage our marketing automation system.
For what projects/services did your company hire OpenMoves, and what were your goals?
We wanted to expand our exposure and lead-gen activities so we hired OpenMoves for their expertise in PPC management. Over the past 2 years, we have worked with them to enhance our PPC strategy from solely North America to EMEA, LATAM, APAC, and DACH regions.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Through referral research, we met with the OpenMoves team to better understand their approach, strategies, and expertise. They proved to be an exceptional leader in the PPC space and were a perfect fit.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
Our engagement with OpenMoves began with letting them know our goals and our company’s strong push for lead-generating activities. OpenMoves helped us facilitate keyword research and performed an analysis of our competitors to develop optimal PPC campaigns. The team helped us understand and leverage the viable markets for us such a social media ads, display ads, Google Ads, and Microsoft ads.
OpenMoves has helped us test various strategies while sticking to our budgets. They supply us with critical reporting and current trends, so we are always kept up to date with the status of our PPC campaigns. They also take reporting to another level work very closely with us to understand the quality of the leads we are getting in order to constantly evaluate and amend our campaigns as needed.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Between 3-5 people from OpenMove's have worked with our team. One gentleman, Alex, has been constant since we first started working with the OM team. He helps facilitate the meetings and the overall strategies, and helps us understand key PPC best practices. From there, we have been working very closely with Perikles who handles our Google Ads, who is very professional and is always looking for new ways to boost engagement for us.
He's been very helpful as we've expanded our territories outside of North America. Francisco is our representative for our social ad campaigns, he is a true expert in social media ads and is very informative and insightful when it comes to developing new strategies.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Since implementing PPC with OpenMoves, we have seen a drastic increase in lead-gen and conversions to sales qualified opportunities. Our SERP ranking has improved and is constantly improving.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The OpenMoves team has been exceptional with communicating with our team. They are very professional with quick turnaround times. If we have an expansion plan / need something updated or enhanced in anyway, they usually respond the same day and are always willing to help as quickly as possible. They are quick to explain what they need from us and the timeline they project for any new plans to be implemented.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their overall knowledge of the PPC industry is very impressive and keeps us feeling confident in OpenMoves to keep driving our results in the right direction. With digital marketing and Google Ads, etc. ever-changing, it is tough for a small company like ours to keep up with the ever changing algorithm rules and strategies, so it's easy for us to fallback on OpenMoves to be the first to know what changes may be coming and what they can do to help us at any time.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
We believe companies always have means to improve! But OpenMoves does a great job of managing our PPC behind the scenes so we don't have to. We have full confidence in them to keep our campaigns running successfully.

PPC for Educational Technology Company

the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the US market lead for an education technology company.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We hired OpenMoves to do PPC work for us to expand the usage of our product in the US.
What was the scope of their involvement?
OpenMoves leads our PPC efforts to augment our existing growth channels. They’re focusing our current Google Ad campaign on 20 universities across the US. Whenever they meet with us, we iterate new versions of our campaign strategy based on our information from the campaign so far. A lot of OpenMoves’ work is focused on driving down the cost of PPC ads.
At the beginning of our engagement, we had a kickoff meeting where we shared the data from our website. That information became the backbone of our campaign, which took 2–3 weeks to get off the ground. We tried several campaigns, including general keywords, object-specific, and Google Smart campaigns.
What is the team composition?
I work with four teammates from OpenMoves, including the director of PPC, the CEO, the account manager, and the PPC analyst.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
We actually found OpenMoves on Clutch. After doing initial research, we provided several companies with basic information on the challenges we faced. The proposed solution OpenMoves came back to us with really stood out from other firms. They took a more bespoke approach while other companies only offered out-of-the-box solutions.
How much have you invested with them?
We've invested around €150,000 (approximately $169,000 USD) during our partnership with OpenMoves, including the €125,000 (approximately $141,000 USD) we’ve spent specifically on Google Ads.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with OpenMoves in September 2021 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We measure our success based on the number of sessions from our PPC ads that generate at least five pages on our website. From when we started with OpenMoves to now, they’ve cut our PPC cost down by more than half — we have an ROI positive cost-per-click metric.
We have 70,000–80,000 keyword combinations, and they did a great job with the frontend — the structure is set up so it can be adjusted as we move forward.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
OpenMoves stays on budget and meets deadlines — their project management is excellent. OpenMoves uses Airtable to manage the project, and we have a rolling presentation that we go over during our meetings. Generally, we meet over Zoom and communicate via email.
What did you find most impressive about them?
OpenMoves took a very bespoke approach to our campaign from the very beginning. They took the time to analyze and understand our business model and then built a strategy around it. They did an amazing job iterating and adjusting our strategy as our needs changed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Customers need to give OpenMoves as much context and information as possible during the beginning of the project. OpenMoves is very intelligent, but they must have the details and understanding of the overall strategy, business model, and budget.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of Natie Branding Agency.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We brought them on when we needed SEO and PPC assistance. Our team has done multiple digital marketing projects with them.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For one of the projects, we were working on a baby care product for one of our clients. After we had done the branding, OpenMoves came in and handled the PPC and SEO efforts.
What is the team composition?
I worked with 6–8 people on their team. That included a senior SEO specialist, a social media coordinator, creatives, an account manager, and a Facebook specialist.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
OpenMoves has a great reputation. I know several other companies who have worked with them.
What is the status of this engagement?
This project was from January–December 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our client was very pleased with the results because it elevated their sales on Amazon. They saw a significant increase in sales, specifically due to OpenMoves' stellar work with PPC. The OpenMoves team was diligent and always available. They exceeded all expectations. There was success in not only the results but the partnership as well.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team was always responsive, and they held the client’s hand. We’d hear back from them within an hour. Digital marketing can be intimidating, so there’s a large human factor that’s involved. OpenMoves is there for their clients so those clients know they’re being taken care of.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re absolute professionals when it comes to digital marketing. Their team knows it inside and out. What’s more, they deliver effective results.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, there isn’t anything. Our standards are very high, and OpenMoves met them. They’re the best out there.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Come with a realistic expectation of your objectives. Is it brand awareness or sales? Who is your target audience? Come to OpenMoves with these answers prepared.

PPC & Social Media Marketing for Social Enterprise
“We like that they can work within our budget to get the maximum impact of our ad spend.”
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-founder of John’s Crazy Socks, a social enterprise. We have both a social and business mission. Our overall mission is to spread happiness by showing what people with differing abilities can do, and by giving back to causes and the community. We operate an online store that sells socks, and we’re adding products as we go.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We hired OpenMoves for digital marketing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
OpenMoves manages our social advertising. They also manage our search advertising. The team creates content for us to use in our ads. They have given us some general advice on SEO, but we have not contracted them for that.
What is the team composition?
We work with a core team of five people. One person focuses on social ads, another does search ads, and another is on creatives. We also have a project manager, and someone else assists with the overall efforts. The CEO steps in from time to time. We see a lot of resources from OpenMoves, and they’re very good.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
I’ve worked with several different firms in the past. We looked for a new agency, and OpenMoves came highly recommended by a mutual business acquittance. We considered a half dozen agencies before selecting OpenMoves.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them in October 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They’ve been able to hit our financial targets and maintain our return on ad spend (ROAS). OpenMoves is very good at managing ads so that we not only reach as many people as possible but also maintain the ROAS that we need to meet, given our financials. They’ve been able to understand who we are and what our mission is.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
OpenMoves has been very responsive. We have regular team meetings, and they come prepared. The team is organized. They are also available to us outside of those team meetings. We’re very pleased with the communication.
What did you find most impressive about them?
There are three things. First, they’re able to generate creative ads based on their understanding of our brand. Second, we like that they can work within our budget to get the maximum impact of our ad spend. Third, we appreciate their communication and organization.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, not that I can think of — we’ve been very pleased.
Any advice for potential customers?
You have to know who you are and what you want, and then be able to convey that to them.

Paid Campaign Management for Digital Marketing Studios
"They have scale potential but never lose sight of the importance of communication."

The client submitted this review online.
Please describe your company and your position there.
I am CEO of Morey Creative Studios, a diamond HubSpot partner agency with offices in New York and Pennsylvania. We manage all aspects of digital marketing for B2B clients throughout North America with some exposure in the U.K. as well.
For what projects/services did your company hire OpenMoves, and what were your goals?
After reviewing the work performed by Open Moves on a separate project it became evident that their methodologies were superior to our paid performance marketing efforts. We reached out to establish a permanent referral relationship to manage the paid digital campaigns of our clients when needed.
How did you select OpenMoves and what were the deciding factors?
We had the benefit of seeing their work firsthand with one of our clients, which prompted us to enter an informal, but exclusive referral relationship where we recommended Open Moves for PPC and Paid Social campaigns when required under our engagements. The deciding factors were performance, responsiveness and reporting.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and campaigns.
We establish a common SEO performance and paid performance baseline for our client relationships and work collaboratively with the Open Moves team to achieve stated and approved goals from the client based upon time and budget.
Often we will onboard a new relationship together to build campaigns and share assets in service of generating traffic and conversions for our clients. Open Moves also has a strong SEO background so we frequently combine efforts to optimize content pages as well as conversion opportunities.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We work primarily with three to four people on the Open Moves team on a consistent basis and depending upon the nature of the campaigns.
We have a primary point of contact that oversees all of our collaborations but have access to other team members depending upon their specific disciplines such as PPC or Paid Social campaign managers. We are also in constant communication with ownership, which is very accessible.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
In every case where we collaborate on a client relationship we have seen consistent traffic growth and increased engagement with audiences. What I respect most is that Open Moves is not a "set it and forget it" performance agency. They are constantly modifying campaigns to ensure that we are hitting agreed upon metrics of engagement and customer conversions.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Open Moves' management style is accessible and hands on. They avail themselves to our team and to the client directly as we do not white label their services. We are extremely transparent with the client that this is our exclusive relationship so they frequently develop their own direct relationship with the client.
They track metrics with their own reporting tools but because we work on the HubSpot platform and align reporting in the client dashboard, we maintain full visibility. In terms of timelines, we have joint calls with the clients to ensure that we are all on the same page. The one thing that I'm very appreciative of is their responsiveness and incredible patience.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I would characterize Open Moves as a "large boutique." What I love about our relationship is that they are able to work with our enterprise level clients but offer an extreme level of customer service that one would expect from a smaller shop.
They fit comfortably into our professional and enterprise level client relationships in this way. They have scale potential but never lose sight of the importance of communication. That's a rare quality for an agency of their size.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Anything I could come up with for this section would be a stretch. I think the overarching reason that we appreciate this relationship so much is that the ownership team is very involved in establishing communications and processes so nothing slips by.
They are highly, highly efficient, which is critical for us because we place a great deal of faith in their ability to not just perform for the client but to assist us in our longer terms SEO objectives. So we fight hard to maintain and nurture this relationship.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of GURHAN NY. We sell fine jewelry.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We didn’t have an internal capability for digital marketing. We knew that e-commerce was an extremely important part of our future strategy, but we weren't sure about bringing someone on staff.
We wouldn't have known how to manage those people because we didn't have that knowledge within our executive tier, so we decided to outsource a digital marketing agency to help us conduct that function.
What was the scope of their involvement?
OpenMoves does our paid advertising, which includes social media advertising and Google advertising, as well as retargeting advertising using Criteo. They also manage all of our online selling through Google, Facebook, and Pinterest.
In addition to the PPC, we've also retained them for SEO. They have done technical SEO and have helped us to improve our web site and all of our tagging. They frequently audit the site to make sure that there aren't broken links and that everything's working properly.
The team also helps us choose content topics for blogs and press releases to maximize traffic based on keywords that seem to work for us. They do all of this in coordination with their PPC side so that there is a seamless strategy.
Additionally, the team does our social media for us, which includes Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The team supports us in that regard with strategic thinking and execution of the various posts that we need to make.
Lastly, they also manage our email marketing. All four of those functions, they intertwine and they work together as a team with each other as well as with us so that we can have a coordinated, seamless approach.
What is the team composition?
We work with three teammates on the PPC side, two on the email side, two on social media, and two on SEO. In addition to that, we also interact with the owners.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
We asked around and did some research online. OpenMoves was recommended to us, and we interviewed them along with other potential candidates. We liked their focus on the analytics and the results, and we also felt that they were an impressive team.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $100,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with them in February 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Initially, we had assumed that we would keep them on for 3–9 months until we learned how to do it ourselves. We expected that we would hire someone to take it over.
However, we were so happy with what OpenMoves was doing, and it felt like they were part of our internal team anyway, that we decided to keep them on. The quality of service is very high. They’re attentive and consistently available to us, and they have great ideas.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
We meet with each of the groups twice a month, but they're available on call at any time if we need to give them a buzz to bounce ideas or have questions that need to be answered. We also have a monthly full team meeting.
The owners are very actively involved in the project, and they attend our monthly meetings. The team is available and responsive, and we communicate via email and opportunistic calls. We don’t have any issues with deadlines. We keep our marketing plan in Airtable and we share that with them.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We genuinely feel that they are interested in and care about our success. They celebrate successes with us, and they share the pain if something's not going so great. It feels like OpenMoves really is invested in us and is truly part of our own team.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, nothing comes to mind. The only issue was that we initially didn’t know how to work with them because we needed to learn. They understood that and were patient. As we’ve become more informed and smarter about the scope of their responsibilities and what they do, we’ve learned how to work better with them.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Make sure you understand the full scope of what OpenMoves can offer and how all of the different pieces can come together in an overall strategy rather than just cherry-picking the different offerings.

Please describe your company and your position there.
New York's largest healthcare provider serving NYC, Long Island and Westchester with care through research and innovation.
I work under the Department of Cardiology, Office of Academic Engagement, Education and Communications - assisting with the planning and production of Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for clinicians both inside and outside our health system.
For what projects/services did your company hire OpenMoves, and what were your goals?
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, our team have been analyzing the different ways we can continue to provide the latest science and education to our healthcare heroes, while adapting to this new reality we live in.
After consulting with Open Moves, an approved vendor, we together came up with an idea for a virtual platform where we could take our live programs and transform them into digital, online experiences.
Since then, we have been able to launch (2) successful programs and are looking forward to expanding.
How did you select OpenMoves and what were the deciding factors?
We had worked with Open Moves in the past for the creation of our e-mail campaigns for live conferences. Once we heard word that OpenMoves was capable of taking on this new challenge, we were thrilled to work with them on this new project.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
The Cardio Virtual Education platform is hosted by Unbounce, with all admin rights granted to Open Moves. CVE platform consists of a Home Page, Category Pages, Event Detail Pages, and Video Player Pages (Videos hosted by Wistia - admin rights granted to Open Moves.)
Each page consists of the approved graphics, hyperlinks, buttons with links embedded, text and video players. Pages were drafted by Open Moves with a series of edits before final launch. Additional material/programs added are ongoing.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with (3) outstanding OpenMoves team members.
- David Loewy - Partner & Chief Creative Officer
- Rose Lanaro - Account Manager
- Amy Chan - Strategic Support Manager
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After the launch of our CVE platform, we have had great attendance on both our first-ever live, virtual program and on-demand virtual program.
Along with this, we received recognition from two other departments, asking for guidance on launching something for their own programs.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.
Open Moves communication with our team has been prompt and reliable since the start of the project.
We have communicated through e-mail for weekly tasks, Zoom meetings to review and go over agendas for upcoming projects and telephone for immediate assistance.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
I was most impressed by Open Moves ability to guide us as we faced the challenge of delivering high-quality education to our clinicians virtually, along with lending ideas to help give our platform a creative edge.
It was truly a team effort to launch this in only 5 short weeks, and could not have been possible without the support and expertise from the Open Moves team.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I was extremely satisfied with the work, communication and support.

PPC & SEO Optimization Services for IT Firm

Please describe your company and your position there.
Kiosk Group, Inc. is a privately-held, Maryland-based company that many leading companies, organizations, and government agencies trust and rely upon for interactive tablet kiosks. We create both hardware and software, including Kiosk Pro, which is the best-selling kiosk app for iOS. I manage software development and our presence on the web.
For what projects/services did your company hire OpenMoves?
We brought in OpenMoves to help us review our presence on the web, with an emphasis on improving our search engine optimization and managing our pay-per-click ad spend.
What were your goals for this project?
Expanding overall company visibility and increasing traffic and e-commerce conversions on our website were the goals of the project.
How did you select this vendor?
The vendor was selected based on the previous experience of our CEO/president in a role at a different company.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
The initial discovery included the team at OpenMoves working with us to learn about our company, goals, target audience, and existing web presence and ad campaigns. Based on the results of that discovery, OpenMoves recommended consolidating several websites that had previously been hosted on separate domains and helped us coordinate that effort.
They also took over primary responsibility for managing our pay-per-click ad campaigns, which had previously been managed in-house and have expanded those from AdWords only to now include Facebook.
What was the team composition?
We've worked directly with David who is one of the partners and the CFO there, as well as specific individuals responsible for SEO, Google Ads, and Facebook campaigns.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
While we are still in the process of consolidating sites, our results so far have been promising with a significant increase in traffic to our primary website. Certain members of our team initially struggled to see the value of the Facebook campaign OpenMoves recommended, but they were patient and persistent in convincing them. The resulting campaign has been successful in creating a new lower-cost stream for leads.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Our team meets with four to six members of the OpenMoves team once a month to review results and plan changes. They also provide a monthly summary of web traffic, ad spend, and conversions, which is helpful. All members of the OpenMoves team that we've worked with are clear and prompt in responding to any questions or new ideas that come up in the interim between meetings.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
OpenMoves has repeatedly shown a commitment to understanding our company's fairly specific niche and helping us find solutions that benefit our business. Beyond that, I'm always impressed by the level of enthusiasm their team shows for new ideas.
Are there any areas for improvement?
At times, OpenMoves has brought ideas to the table that are either not possible given our current Shopify platform or that are beyond the skill and/or time constraints of our current development team. In the end, I think it's probably better to dream big and then figure out what can actually be executed than the reverse.

Email Advertising & Branding for Religious Nonprofit
"Though we’re a small nonprofit, they give us the same amount of attention and care as a big client."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I work for Ameinu Our People, which is a Zionist-progressive Jewish organization based in New York. We have different sections and programs, and we have a sister organization called Project Rozana, which does humanitarian work in The Middle East, specifically in Palestine.
We support the Kibbutz Program Center, which registers volunteers for programs in Israel. We have the Third Narrative, which is an initiative of scholars and academics that promote the two-state solution for Israel and Palestine. I’m the national program director for Ameinu, in charge of promoting programs and day-to-day operations.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
My organization started working with them just before I arrived, and we’re mainly using their solution for email blasts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We’re integrating the OpenMoves platform with our Salesforce, and it’s working smoothly. We’re able to upload our contact information and sync with OpenMoves for different campaigns and address books. That makes it easy for us to know whom we want to target.
For example, we can send a blast to donors that gave less than $500 between December 2019 and March 2020, get that report on Salesforce, update the address book, and send it to OpenMoves. The layout for creating emails is simple enough to use for people without a lot of technical knowledge. OpenMoves does provide templates, which only require adding text and images, and they’re always willing to help.
We’ve also used OpenMoves to promote Google Ads. Their staff sends us monthly reports, and they’re always available. As a nonprofit, we were eligible for a Google Ads grant, and OpenMoves walked us through that process. They worked with our web designer in the UK on ways to improve our outreach through SEO.
What is the team composition?
I work with a few people from OpenMoves and they have designated members for each operation. I’ve worked with Amy (Strategic Support Manager) on everything email-related for the past three years.
They have someone who helps us with Google Ads, and there’s another member that handles technical issues with the website and anything software-related.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
The decision to hire them was made by someone else in my organization, so I’m not sure how they were chosen.
How much have you invested with them?
We get monthly invoices, and each one is a bit different. There’s a set cost for sending 10,000 or fewer emails per month, and another amount for sending 50,000. We spend $500–$600 per month on average. We spend a bit less in slower months, and $700–$800 during the busy season.
We’ve spent $10,000–$20,000 with them, so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
I started working here in July 2017, but I believe OpenMoves started working with us a few months earlier in April 2017.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’re a small, niche organization, with most of our donors coming from the progressive wing of the Jewish community. We know whom to look for when targeting our donors, and in which communities, so we use Google Ads as a backup and to get extra donations.
We’re very happy with OpenMoves, and our webmaster is also impressed by their work. This was my first time working on this kind of project, so I don’t have a lot to compare them to, but our webmaster is pleased with the quality of OpenMoves’ services.
Though our biggest donations don’t come as a result of Google Ads, we do get smaller donations because of it. We show up for keywords if people search for things related to our nonprofit, and even if they only donate $10, it’s great for us.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
We do have deadlines, but we’re a small organization, and most of what we do goes pretty smoothly, especially when it comes to the email aspect. Once we installed the OpenMoves software, and once our staff learned how to integrate it with Salesforce, there wasn’t a lot that we needed to do. When I was coming up to speed in the beginning, Amy was very attentive and accommodating. She’d get on a Zoom or Skype call with me, and she answered emails very fast.
As an example, one of our websites’ certificates expired last week, so I emailed OpenMoves about it, and the website was back online within the hour. That’s the kind of interaction I have with them. I never have to wait for them to deliver or remind them about a deadline. I just send them an email, and the problem’s usually solved by the end of the day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
It’s the level of customer service that stands out. We’re working with a few other providers, and OpenMoves is just very responsive in comparison. Whenever we have a problem, we can email or call them, and they’ll solve it. Though we’re a small nonprofit, they give us the same amount of attention and care as a big client.
I’ve been working with them for three years now and I do like to know the people I’m working with. It’s nice that we’ve gotten to know each other a little bit, even though we’ve never actually met. It’s good to work with a provider that has this kind of personal touch. If I ever have an issue, I know I can give someone at OpenMoves a call and get their help. I’ve been waiting for a call from another provider for a few days, and this isn’t something that’s happened with OpenMoves.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Though the interface for building emails could be a little friendlier, they’re always willing to help and I never have to struggle.
Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?
Clients should know what their goals are so that OpenMoves can really tailor its products based on those needs. This way, we can make sure that we’re not overpaying and that we’re not getting a service that we don’t need. For us, the integration with Salesforce was a big deal because we had our entire database there, and it also was a new system for us at the time. We adopted Salesforce and OpenMoves as one package.

Paid Advertising & Strategy for Chocolatier
"They are an extension of our team and are focused on our goals and driving value."
the reviewer
the review
A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the senior director of e-commerce and digital of Vosges Haut-Chocolat.
What challenge were you trying to address with OpenMoves?
We hired them to help streamline our paid media approach. We wanted to grow that area of our business by generating a strong return on ad investment, driving more engagement, and learning more about our customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They drive our paid media strategy on Google, Bing, Criteo, Facebook and Instagram. We do all of the creative in-house but they drive the strategy and work on audience segmentation. They also divide our campaigns, especially on the Google side, between branded and non-branded. Leaning heavier into areas that were working, they strongly support our strategy, reporting, and analytics needs.
What is the team composition?
Three people work with us. There is an account manager, a person dedicated to paid search, and a person assigned to paid social.
How did you come to work with OpenMoves?
I found them by searching and reading other reviews. We interviewed them along with some other agencies and they were the best fit in terms of their team structure, approach, and experience.
How much have you invested with them?
We spend close to $70,00 per year on their services.
What is the status of this engagement?
We’ve been working together since July 2018 and our engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve seen a really strong return on our ad spend, which is one of the key metrics we track. We always see a minimum of a 3x return, and there are times when it would even go up to 10x. Their work is very strong and they’re delivering results that are making our media campaigns efficient and keeping our costs relatively low.
How did OpenMoves perform from a project management standpoint?
They’ve done really well here. We have calls twice a month as regular status calls. We talk about strategy, what’s working or not working, the budget for that month, and our upcoming plans. They tell us what would work well for our new campaigns and the structure. They report once a month, as well.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They’re just extremely responsive and flexible. They are an extension of our team and are focused on our goals and driving value. They care about our high-level revenue goals and want to understand where we’re headed.
From a very high-level, strategic standpoint, they’re really strong and trickle that down into how we spend our ad budget. They have true specialists in each area, which I really like. I like that there are people dedicated specifically to paid search or paid social and they can be experts within it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t really think of anything big. They could give us more larger-scale industry knowledge and share things they’re seeing in the industry. Knowledge sharing would be good, but it’s not a real weakness because they’re good at telling us high-level things in the market.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be clear about your goals and be revenue-focused. Make sure they’re aware of how you track your revenue, what your goals are, and they’ll really have skin in the game to help you achieve that.
