We hired ONE18MEDIA to redesign our outdated website. We transitioned from Drupal to Wordpress and had the goals of making an updated, accessible, easy-to-use website, including a "Find a Clinic" location search tool and a member only area for resource sharing.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sent out an RFP detailing the scope of the project. Once RFPs were submitted, the organization staff reviewed and compared the various proposals and selected this vendor based on factors that included the price, suggestions, work detail, and mockups that were included in the proposal.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Once the contract was signed, we had an onboarding call with the development team and the NAFC team to discuss and review timelines, goals, objectives, and logistics for the development and launch of the redesign. From there, the appropriate staff members from each team met regularly to review mock-ups, wireframes, content, and more. The ONE18MEDIA team worked closely with our staff to ensure that the site not only looked great, but functioned great, was easy to use, and was accessible.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The President of ONE18MEDIA worked with us on high-level items such as the contract and onboarding. There was a project manager who was our main point of contact keeping everything organized and on track. And then there was a web developer and other members of the ONE18MEDIA team that were behind the scenes developing the site and adding content, making edits, etc.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have gotten great feedback from our Board of Directors, our member clinics, volunteers, donors, partners, and more who all loved the redesign, from the look to the ease of use to the accessibility functions, including language translation. We are seeing an increase in usage for our member resource area, increased traffic, and increased interaction.

Depending on where we were in the process, we had regular check-in video calls, communicated well via email, shared documents and content via google drive (which was helpful to have a central sharing location), and utilized Markup for the final stages of website updates and edits. The project management was always well-organized and easy to provide feedback.

ONE18MEDIA provided incredible results with the finished project that met all of our goals. They also ensured that the project moved along in a timely fashion, they were attentive to details and priorities for our organization and always kept in mind our key audiences to ensure the website not only looked great, but functioned the way it was needed.

ONE18MEDIA has built our e-commerce website for us. They’ve handled everything from beginning to end. The team has used WordPress and bundled integrated e-commerce and payment solutions to make the shopping process seamless.

The site is a brick-and-mortar store that allows catering and traditional supermarket shopping. Users can look at the site to find out who we are, view our locations, and peruse our catering and prepared food menus. Also, there’s a tool to prepare shopping lists for customers who don’t want to go out shopping or can’t shop on their own. The site’s functionality allows customers to place orders with any level of detail they want. Then, we can process their orders internally instead of utilizing third-party applications like many other sites. If we need to, we can call the customer or contact them to clarify anything. Lastly, we prepare the orders and deliver them.

We’re currently in the middle of working on a different project with them.

What is the team composition?

We usually deal directly with AJ (President & Founder).

How did you come to work with ONE18MEDIA?

We were struggling to find the right company to do what we were looking for. Many companies out there said they could do it, but few could do it well. When we spoke to ONE18MEDIA, they were able to do more than what we requested for a price point that was in line with what other people were charging for a subpar deliverable.

We pay around $4,000–$5,000 a year. They bundled the initial development cost into the hosting and maintenance fee.

We started working with them in August 2016, and they delivered the initial version of the website in 30 days. However, our relationship is ongoing.

The site is easy to use for anyone. We have 90-year-old customers with a basic understanding of technology and younger kids with a better grasp of technology, and both are able to use the website. After our initial consultation, we knew this was the company that would be passionate about our needs. Every employee was professional and extremely timely when executing on our requests. They showed not only a concern for our needs but offered multiple options that would allow flexibility on costs and potential build out options on the website. We knew that if they were willing to put this much work into a presentation deck then we could wait to see what they could do with our website.

After our kickoff call, we provide a very basic skeleton of how we envisioned our website to function. In no time we had mock ups of layouts and functionality which after a few minor tweaks was ready to be built out. The staff really listened to our needs and wants and asked the right questions to ensure our website met our expectations.

We originally met with the owner and then work with a project manager and their team throughout the project and still to this day to make updates.

We hired ONE18MEDIA for their web development and marketing services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

ONE18MEDIA provides web development, design, social media marketing, and SEO services for us. We’ve provided them with the background of our company and everything they needed over the phone. 

The website has plenty of features, especially since we keep adding more. For example, end users can check out the website for employment; they can also contact us there or see the page that explains all the services we provide. They can find out about our financing if they want.

As for design, another company has developed our logo and branding, while ONE18MEDIA implemented them. They’ve designed the site’s layout, too. The team continues to provide maintenance and updates for the website. 

In terms of social media marketing, they manage our Facebook and Instagram channels. They mainly create content for our ads, but I create some of our email marketing content. I send them that content to post. On top of that, their resources respond to comments on social media. 

Moreover, we have monthly meetings for SEO. I rely on them to give me feedback on our SEO progress. Aside from that, their members write blogs for us once or twice per month. 

What is the team composition?

I work with three people from ONE18MEDIA at any given time. My main point of contact is Lauren (Digital Marketing Strategist). She has a design team, and another is responsible for our social media posts and blogs.

How did you come to work with ONE18MEDIA?

ONE18MEDIA was recommended to us by a friend. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $30,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. 

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The quality of ONE18MEDIA’s work is excellent. They’re accommodating and professional. The team gets everything done right away the minute I ask them to do something. Overall, I have no issues with their performance; I highly recommend them — they’re a great company. 

How did ONE18MEDIA perform from a project management standpoint?

They manage the project well. Everything’s done quickly and on time. Whenever I ask them to change something, the task is done within the day, if not within the hour. To communicate, we usually have phone calls. Every once in a while, they come to our office and sit with us to talk in person. Whenever I need to contact them, I can simply send an email or do a phone call. Overall, they’re easy to contact and readily available. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They never ask for more money. When I ask them to help me do something, I pay the company directly. Their resources never ask me for any kickbacks or percentages for what they’re doing. In other words, their services are pretty much all-inclusive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be proactive — if ONE18MEDIA asks you to do something, do it and they’ll take care of you. As long as you’re proactive, the engagement will be worth your money. You get what you put in.

I am the Vice President of the National Association of Free & Charitable Clinics, a U.S.-based national nonprofit organization in the healthcare field.

For what projects/services did your company hire ONE18MEDIA, and what were your goals?

We hired ONE18MEDIA to redesign our outdated website. We transitioned from Drupal to Wordpress and had the goals of making an updated, accessible, easy-to-use website, including a "Find a Clinic" location search tool and a member only area for resource sharing.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sent out an RFP detailing the scope of the project. Once RFPs were submitted, the organization staff reviewed and compared the various proposals and selected this vendor based on factors that included the price, suggestions, work detail, and mockups that were included in the proposal.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

Once the contract was signed, we had an onboarding call with the development team and the NAFC team to discuss and review timelines, goals, objectives, and logistics for the development and launch of the redesign. From there, the appropriate staff members from each team met regularly to review mock-ups, wireframes, content, and more. The ONE18MEDIA team worked closely with our staff to ensure that the site not only looked great, but functioned great, was easy to use, and was accessible.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

The President of ONE18MEDIA worked with us on high-level items such as the contract and onboarding. There was a project manager who was our main point of contact keeping everything organized and on track. And then there was a web developer and other members of the ONE18MEDIA team that were behind the scenes developing the site and adding content, making edits, etc.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have gotten great feedback from our Board of Directors, our member clinics, volunteers, donors, partners, and more who all loved the redesign, from the look to the ease of use to the accessibility functions, including language translation. We are seeing an increase in usage for our member resource area, increased traffic, and increased interaction.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Depending on where we were in the process, we had regular check-in video calls, communicated well via email, shared documents and content via google drive (which was helpful to have a central sharing location), and utilized Markup for the final stages of website updates and edits. The project management was always well-organized and easy to provide feedback.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

ONE18MEDIA provided incredible results with the finished project that met all of our goals. They also ensured that the project moved along in a timely fashion, they were attentive to details and priorities for our organization and always kept in mind our key audiences to ensure the website not only looked great, but functioned the way it was needed.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

With every massive project, there are always setbacks, things that go wrong, and delays. But the ONE18MEDIA team was great at addressing anything that came up and working with our organization if anything changed on our side throughout the process.

First we scoped out what our goals were: to spread awareness about our company, our services, and help formulate how we could better market our services. We used a variety of tools. Clickup for project management, Wordpress for the website, and a social media approval tool called Gain. All the software we used was provided by ONE18MEDIA!

We worked with our project manager (Lauren), the social media team (Danielle), AJ (the owner), and also the web development team (Mike and Tom).

NAFC had an aging website that not only needed to be re-designed but completely re-organized. ONE18MEDIA helped this client choose a new CMS platform to power their new site and provide fresh new content to engage users and provide them with the helpful information they look for.
SEO and the user journey was a major focus for this project. Working closely with this client to review their content and provide updated copy and sitemaps was critical to providing a better user experience and journey.
