We selected this vendor having worked with them in the past and their work has always been very good. To a very high standard and very prompt.

Design and development of a SaaS website with CRO elements, SEO considerations and a significant amount of bespoke design work and custom development of each page.

We worked with several resources, named Senior Graphic Designer, who was exceptional. Our own developer and named PM, who was super responsive.

Offshorly gave amazing service. We changed the spec several times. They stuck to the original budget. The finished result is superb. Their web development process if the most recent and up to date you can get. They are a brilliant company to work with.

Good updates, edits were always done by the next day. Great communication. Prompt delivery

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They worked so well with us. They made everything we asked for happened despite it not being in the original brief. They were flexible, adaptable, and supportive, helping our team and truly partnering with us. We used collaborative software to pass back edits and work together.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Offshorly are an exceptional company. Their delivery is superb. I am really pleased we chose them as our supplier. They have delivered an outstanding finished product and a great service too!

We regularly hire Offshorly to translate our design and branding concepts into fully mobile optimised websites with Wordpress CMS

One of our most recent projects was for Thrive. Thrive was launching as a new recipe box company in the UK, with healthy eating and true sustainability at the heart of this farm to fork business. We needed a site that design wise would reflect their positioning in this busy market. Importantly, the site needed to tell their story, allow for regular articles to be shared and most importantly sell their products. Budget wise, we needed to be mindful of the fact that this was a new family run business.

How did you select Offshorly and what were the deciding factors?

Their response to our initial conversation was spot on, the costing reasonable and they came highly recommended from trusted partners. 

When it came to Thrive, Offshorly were fantastic from start to finish. From the first conversations they understood exactly what we needed from a tech point of view and came up with all the right ideas to help us achieve what we wanted without breaking the bank. Design wise, they nailed the brief instantly.

What we ended up with was a two phase project. First up was a fully mobile responsive WordPress site that was beautifully designed and that incorporated a really modern looking articles section, that allowed the client to quickly and easily add new content. Whenever there were questions about functionality, the Offshorly team were right there to advise. 

From a design perspective, they were meticulous in helping us get exactly the look and feel we were looking for and were very supportive in our conversations with the end client. 

The second phase was the introduction of the e-commerce element. Here they advised us to go with Shopfiy, which proved to be a fantastic solution. It plugged into the site and the move from site to shop is seamless with a consistent look and feel. They identified a theme that exactly matched the needs of the client and again nailed the look and feel. 

With Shopify being so easy to use, it meant the shop was up and running quickly and the client was able to evolve it over time which is what they wanted. Again they were always on hand o help with queries.

Four to five people - we had both Directors involved, a designer and a couple of developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The website was launched on time and within budget, across both phases and the client was really happy. For us this was the best outcome.

Our clients have all been exceptionally pleased with the websites delivered. How they look, perform and ease of use. They have also seen great improvements in their organic SEO following the launch of their updated websites.

For the most part we communicated via phone and email and had the odd video call too. They are very communicative and are always quick to respond to queries. They were upfront about how long the project would take and realistic about timelines, which means there were no nasty surprises. 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their willingness to help and make sure that you get what you're looking for, even if this means them going above and beyond what their scope of work is. Their help and advice from a tech point of view was invaluable.

Ultimately, our clients receive a professional site which is easy to use and in line with the new branding we design. They are a fantastic technical partner and very much part of our future growth plans.

Any issues were quickly resolved and they were always clear on their position.

I'm the managing partner of TMG LLC, an industrial marketing agency serving food and CPG external manufacturers owned by private equity. We needed help developing a marketplace platform for connecting brands with manufacturers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Offshorly has developed a marketplace platform for connecting brands with manufacturers based on our design criteria. The team has continued to build upon and develop that platform and has had a significant role not just in executing our vision but in building upon that vision and contributing significantly to the design of the app.

Offshorly has designed the first working prototype based on our specifications and built it on our preferred platform. A rapid development cycle has produced an early version of the site within a matter of weeks. We're currently on the third major revision of the site, and the amount of functionality that has been added would make the original site unrecognizable beyond the initial look and feel, which has remained consistent.

Offshorly has utilized off-the-shelf components to build out the membership site areas, reducing cost and time while producing a more robust solution. The team has also built out the pricing model, integrated it with a payment system, developed an online RFQ form, developed a scoring protocol to determine the best fit among manufacturers, integrated with external platforms for our program marketing, incorporated special services for preferred groups, and created a six-tiered system for various levels of membership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We launched the site on schedule and within budget. It has continued to scale and remain within that budget as functionality has increased. We're currently working with them on a major upgrade to the site, and we're sticking with them based on their reliability and ability to deliver.

We started with zero manufacturers, retailers, and brands. Today, we have thousands of each, which is a testament to our marketing of the platform but also to the outstanding job the Offshorly team has done. At several points in that scaling, if speed or bottlenecks became an issue, Offshorly has made whatever changes are necessary to ensure the site stays fast, competitive, and responsive. It's as fast as it has ever been, even though it has over 12,000 pages of content and thousands of members.

How did Offshorly perform from a project management standpoint?

Offshorly has delivered on time. We have a weekly meeting. Our operations manager is our project leader, and her main contact is Offshorly's project leader. Everything flows between the two of them, which is our preference. We have access to anyone on their team if we choose to, but we prefer to work through a single point of contact, which has worked for us quite well.

We use a chat platform, so we're always in contact with them for immediate needs and are never tied to the limitations of a weekly meeting.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We're amazed at Offshorly's depth of understanding of our platform and our industry, especially considering they had no exposure to it in the past. Their level of commitment goes well beyond involvement. They listen to our requests, but they don't execute them blindly. They often come back with questions that compel us to take a closer look at our requests and recommend alternatives to those requests that frequently result in a superior outcome than if they had just blindly executed our request. All this is done with an eye towards efficiency without sacrificing speed to market.

Are there any areas they could improve?

About 6–7 months into the project, I received a call from Offshorly's managing partner, asking if he could reassign the lead programmer onto a new project they had just taken on. I was obviously very concerned about this because I felt we had their A-team and was concerned about bringing a new resource up to speed and if that resource would be as capable.

He assured me that it wouldn't be a problem, that we wouldn't lose any momentum, and that I'd be happy. If not, he would go back and bring the other resource back. In all honesty, I can't remember that original person's name because the new team member is every bit as competent, and we lost no momentum at all. I can't think of anything that Offshorly could have done differently or that I feel was a mistake in retrospect.

Alex and his team are very focused on delivery and getting good flows and value whilst continually exporing new methods.   We tested RAG against GAN solutions and different genAI models as the tools improved during the dev project.

The team were able to deliver within the sprint. The QA at offshorly was extraordinary ensuring the development drops were met on time.

We had a standup everyday at 11:30AM AEST and the team was able to accommodate being up early for it. The development was chartered to a weekly sprint with code review and UAT clearance every Wednesday. The team was very responsive and reported to every meeting needed and coordinated with QA to provide a bug free build.

Communication can be improved, using a chat channel can make the communication during the project more fluent. Despite it did not affect the result, it would be a plus.
