Our initial scope was for a log-in, ability to have subscriptions and industry level management of users. We wanted documents of all formats, google docs, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDFs that are tagged and untagged able to be updated to be brought to ADA standards by adding AltText to images and headers to documents. The product has extended beyond this thanks to the help of the NUS team. We have an in-house built ADA scanner and the ability to update documents on the UI to ensure meeting requirements. The team is working on more robust analytics for the company admin (mostly colleges) to check the users documents and ensure they are up to par. 

We are looking to also tie into the two main education systems in the future. The team is responsive with escalations and updates where needed. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Improved documents to meet ADA requirements. Given the ability to update untagged PDFs this also benefits with older documents and ensuring ease of use. 

Even with being in opposing time zones, we were able to meet weekly and discuss updates and needs over chat. They are very responsive and notify when they'll be off. Everything fell into line in a timely fashion and we were able to launch in a reasonable amount of time.

What I have found most impressive about this company is the consistency and stability of their team. The core developers involved at the beginning of the project have remained engaged throughout the lifecycle of the build, which has provided continuity, deep product understanding, and stronger long-term alignment with the platform vision.

Having a stable team meant that knowledge was retained, decisions were contextual, and progress was not disrupted by turnover. This continuity has been particularly valuable given the complexity and custom nature of the software being developed. 1. More Structured Project Check-Ins
Establishing at least monthly strategic meetings to review project status, priorities, budget position, and upcoming deliverables would improve alignment and forward planning. A consistent cadence of progress reviews would provide greater visibility into timelines and reduce uncertainty around feature development stages.

2. Clearer Release Roadmap & Timeline Forecasting
Having a documented roadmap with projected release dates for features would significantly assist in managing customer expectations. Greater clarity around anticipated delivery timeframes would allow for more effective communication with clients and better coordination of marketing and launch activities.

3. Pre-Release Testing & Staging Visibility
Notification for the testing on the staging environments prior to live deployment — or alternatively, detailed walkthrough videos demonstrating completed functionality — would allow for earlier feedback before features go live.
