NIB was taksed with routine bookkeeping, including accouts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and taxes.

Numbers In Boxes was a complete failure. No progress or success.

NIB management was deplorable:

• Complete breakdown after the phishing mistake they made which transferred over $67,000 our of our account to a criminal ring overseas

Nothing impressive. Perhaps they are unique in their incompetence.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Numbers In Boxes could have done differently?

Lindsay, owner of Numbers in Boxes NIB is disorganized and over her head with this company she started. Worse yet, Lindsay was dishonest with us.  Lindsay and her employee fell prey to a common phishing scheme and transferred over $67,000 out of our bank account to a criminal ring overseas. We worked with the Cambridge Police Department to try and track down the criminals but the money was instantly converted to bitcoin and then became untraceable. Fortunately, we had cyber insurance which covered our loss, except for a $5000 deductible. When we asked Lindsay to reimburse us for that $5K she backpedalled and said she was not going to be accountable for her employee's mistakes. We were shocked at her lack of integrity. Two things I would recommend for anyone looking for a bookkeeper: first, purchase insurance and second, avoid Lindsay and Numbers in Boxes at all cost.
