• Hand over the live iOS, Android and admin apps from the previous developer without disrupting the universities already running programs on the platform.
• Stabilize the product — eliminate crashes and make sign-in and transactional email reliable, so students never lose access.
• Improve performance across the apps and the backend so the platform stays responsive as communities and datasets grow.
• Modernize the infrastructure, release pipelines and tech stack so the product stays supportable long-term.
• Keep evolving the product across mobile and admin without building an in-house engineering team.

Numatic took over for a previous coding team and dramatically improved the quality of the software. It also managed the modernization of the software and made sure each new update was submitted to and ran on the app stores.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Took over the live iOS, Android and admin apps from the previous developer with no service interruption

Eliminated crashes and cleared the inherited defect backlog — 100+ tracked issues resolved across 12 monthly sprints

Rebuilt authentication and transactional email delivery, removing the sign-in failures that had been blocking student access

Increased backend data processing performance by up to 8x on large datasets

Modernized infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines and upgraded to the current tech stack, establishing a regular release cadence to the App Store and Google Play

Acted as the single product partner across iOS, Android, admin and infrastructure — covering platform health, feature delivery, and ongoing evolution

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

The team (Iryna and Igor) we're outstanding and met every key time point that we set for deliverables. They were also outstanding in handling any emergencies that came up in terms of what a client needed from us and helping us update the software accordingly in a very rapid period of time.  Every time they said they would get something by a certain time, they always did.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I have worked with several developers, and I simply haven't worked with any others that were as responsive as the team I worked with at Numatic. It was the first time I really felt like things were always going to get done when they were supposed to and in the way they were supposed to.  If and when I need to hire additional coders, there is no question that they are who I would go back to. The only reason I'm not still working with them right now is that they completed all the work that I needed done. It's a great team that takes their work seriously and was very responsive whenever I needed to get a hold of them or make changes to the direction things were going.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Numatic Digital could have done differently?

I have no constructive feedback for Pneumatic. I was really impressed with the work they did.

• Keep the real-time live-data pipeline delivering scores, ticker, and statistics at low latency throughout the season.
• Evolve the product continuously across web, iOS, Android, and admin without expanding our in-house engineering team.

Reduced infrastructure and hosting costs by approximately 3x through the initial modernization work. Successfull implementation of additional features incl. live data integration across website and mobile apps.

Delivery was on time on all items given there was enough lead time but also Numatic is very reactive on short term requests and out of office hours responses. Quick and efficient communication via email or virtual calls were much appriciated over the past 2+ years.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Numatic Digital had a deep familiarity with the products we used, which are legacy products. Reaction time and support during night times and live games are a highly appricated value at Numatic

Are there any areas for improvement or something Numatic Digital could have done differently?

For the agreed scope and current engamgent there are not improvement areas that come to ming currently. Numatic is proactively suggestiong further improvements and is thinking ahead in terms of infrastructure and hosting efficiencies.

What challenge were you trying to address with Numatic Digital?

We needed to create very complex legal software in an emergent way for a platform that no one had developed for.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Numatic Digital handled the entire product development process, including design and execution. The team delivered wireframes, prototypes, a proof of concept, the final software, a website, and ongoing support and development.

What is the team composition?

We worked with 2–5 teammates from Numatic Digital.

I had a prior working relationship with them before they were at Numatic Digital. We chose them because they had high ratings, their pricing fit our budget, they were a great culture fit, and they offered good value for the cost.

We had milestones and deliverable gates, including quality checks and completion milestones based on internal standards, external audits, and client acceptance criteria.
