The end product delivered matched our vision and derived expected results from the users. We had low returns at the initial stage but higher engagement with satisfactory app reviews.

Project management is indeed to be praised. From day 1 I was conveyed a feasible scope of my project with clear and lined conversations with the respective personnel. It ended up smoothly without much ambiguities faced.

What challenge were you trying to address with NetSet Software Solutions?

I have a lot of sales and marketing experience, but not a lot of coding experience. I wanted a vendor to help bridge some of the gaps in my knowledge.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We're still working on the final product, but they quickly molded my vision into reality. They were very involved in wireframing our product, including how many screens we needed, screen flow, and the basic functions of each screen. I created a lot of the design elements, but once we decided on what the app would do, they created a working product.

A big part of their work focused on backend coding for iOS. After they finished the mobile app, we decided to add a web portal. They did a lot of work on both iOS and the web-based version. We hope to add an Android app in the near future. Based on their recommendations, we decided to create native apps for each platform. We knew that would take more time, but it was the best option for our long-term vision. Businesses can create a profile on both the web portal and the app, and use either as a point of sale. We're discussing adding more admin functionality for our side in the future.

I'm in contact with four or five of their team members, but I know the team is larger on the backend. I communicate with a project lead and the developers directly, and I appreciate that kind of transparency.

We fielded bids from about 20 development companies. NetSet's speed of response and their attentiveness set them apart from their competitors. They listened to everything we told them, and they never said they couldn't meet a need. They absolutely understood my mindset, and the level of communication was off the charts.

I spoke with one of their lead managers during the hiring process. We had a good connection from the beginning, and their reviews were extremely good. When I proposed my vision, they actively contributed suggestions. Before we even hired them, they felt like a part of the team. They were fast, polite, and they never talked down to me.

Our expenditure is already beyond $10,000, and I'm not sure yet how much the total cost will be.

We started working together in September 2018, and our collaboration is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've already delivered a working product. We're in a beta round now, and our next steps include small fixes and introducing the product to a larger test group. After a few months of internal organization and marketing, we'll launch the finished product in early 2020. The app already looks and feels amazing.

How did NetSet Software Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is fantastic. They're extremely efficient, and I wish other vendors worked as well as they did. When they asked me to share a review, I jumped at the opportunity. I wanted the chance to tell other people how great they are.

Most of our communication is through email and Skype, and we set milestones on Upwork. That helps keep us accountable and on track. They move faster than I anticipated, which is a bonus.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If there is a better way to realize our ideas, they will make suggestions for improvements. They never blindly just do what we ask, and they go the extra mile to guide us. I'm sure we'll work on many more apps with them after this one.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could improve. A language barrier can sometimes be an issue with offshore teams, so extra team members who were fluent in other languages would set them apart from their competition, improve their prestige, and strengthen their ability to attract more clients.

Make sure you know what you want, and then communicate those desires to them. Provide screenshots, and give them as much insight into your experience as possible. A visual explanation significantly speeds their efficiency.

It's a beauty and wellness marketplace that allows stylists to come to someone's location to style their hair and do their nails or makeup. You can post pictures and book a go-to location. Essentially, it's a system that consists of two apps–the stylist app and the customer app.
