I am the Vice President of a Transportation Management company. We arrange and manage freight transportation for customers throughout the US, North America, and Europe.

For what projects/services did your company hire PCA Technology Group?

We have been long time users of the WatchGuard hardware firewall devices to help secure our sites. We needed to replace devices that reached end of life. We hired PCA to upgrade and install the new devices.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were recommended by WatchGuard for our last upgrade and we chose to use them again for this upgrade.

They reviewed our device configurations and traffic. Reviewed our usage and needs with our staff prior to researching the appropriate devices to fit our needs. They then ordered, configured, and prepared the new devices for installation in advance of the go-live date.

On installation day, the technician, Trevor, arrived at the appointed time and was prepared. He installed and tested the first device, and then drove to our 2nd site and completed the installation there. Trevor worked closely with our in house IT and management to complete the installation and testing in a timely manner and with minimal disruption to our staff. Trevor was very professional and courteous and made every effort to make sure the install went smoothly.

He also researched and completed a change that was needed due to a configuration difference between the new and old hardware. This resulted in no negative impact to our business or our functionality for local and remote access to our systems. His efforts made the install a memorable one for all the right reasons.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The install went without incident, and our users didn't even notice. The one small wrinkle that was encountered, due to a manufacturer's change, was quickly rectified. The systems worked as if no changes were made, and our people were able to continue working as if nothing had changed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Trevor's preparation, professionalism, enthusiasm, and knowledge, were refreshing and appreciated. Definitely something that we look for in a vendor and will bring us back to work with PCA again.

I've used PCA Group for many years. Each time PCA Technology Group's support is needed, the work is always accomplished quickly in resolving my computer problems remotely. They've also quickly set up new laptops for a seamless transition eliminating downime.

We have engaged PCA over the years to provide IT consulting over a number of years. Recently we went to a managed services agreement which gives me more peace of mind knowing that PCA is constantly monitoring our computer operations.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We initially performed a search of vendors and selected PCA based on our search which included interviews.

We have a system that includes workstations using windows software as well as an AS400 that is used in the administration of our benefits. We needed upgrades to our servers and needed a firm that knew how to integrate our windows platform along with our AS400 and PCA fit the bill. We also use PCA for all of our computer needs. Whether there is a malfunction with a computer or printer, they have been there to assist.

Our main point of contact was one of their engineers, Lance and their CEO, Mike.

They were able to set us up with new servers and new computers. Additionally, they provided training to staff on Cyber Security.

Success is our managed services provider. We have been partners with them for several years.

Account management and technical capacity are key factors in our decision to partner with Success

As a trusted partner, Success helps us by providing infrastructure oversight including data center, network and endpoint monitoring and response. Success provides patch management, security monitoring and detection response, and are our escalation point for major incident management. They also deliver monthly security reports so that internal staff can follow up and assure compliance on all devices.

We work regularly with their CTO, engineers and account staff.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Great results including server and network lifecycle management, security offerings including education, advanced monitoring, and response.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Excellent. Success is in regular contact with our team and provides 7x24 support.

Success acts as an extension of our internal team. I never feel like this is a vendor/client relationship, they are true partners.
