We worked with the our own internal marketing group and the web development team at PCA Group to finalize requirements for each menu of the page. We were fortunate in having the old site code to use as leverage. The site is written in dot NET and uses RDC Calls to our record keeping system, as well as integrating through database syncs with other databases within our firm.

We were fortunate to have PCA recognize the importance of this project, they went all out in making available every member of their team if and when needed.

After launching the new participant portal site we immediately saw an increase in confidence from our existing clients that we were committed to making changes and keeping up with the latest technologies. It also made us more competitive for new business.

Weekly stand up calls and status updates along with weekly demos and touching base with any questions to ensure that we were staying on target.

We have an annual out of service maintenance period during first quarter with an approximate budget of $55 MM. Planning, budgeting, executing, and monitoring spend is crucial. We hired PCA to interface and adapt to two separate software programs and integrate into a single platform for a customized report. The format is critical as it needed to have the dual functionality of being a working project management document as well as a cost tracking/forecasting tool.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The deciding factor was the desirable results and sophisticated collaboration of work done previously by PCA and particularly Noel Stoyanoff. Our company has had a longstanding professional relationship with PCA and Noel.

The first step was defining goals. Second step was analyzing the practicality of achieving same. Third was engaging in the work with scheduled periodic meetings for status and strategic goal setting in the interim until the succeeding meeting. Subsequently, bench testing the product by company employees and review of results with PCA and following necessary adjustments. Lastly, final launch into production.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We received a robust reporting tool with all the desired functionality to leverage managing our business. Considering our annual average budget of $55 MM, avoiding reporting errors in tracking even as low as 1% ($550k) is critical. Beyond that, PCA was able to enhance functionality to provide troubleshooting to identify necessary adjustments from user process errors. In the past, these accounting allocation errors resulted in approximately $2 MM of miscoding as well as countless administrative hours to identify them.

Noel's project management style is superb. He immediately sets you at ease and is personable. They were goal-oriented and able to keep focus on the customers' ultimate targets while navigating the details. He also is fully engaged in the process and "owns it" as if it were his own. Noel maintains an approach strategic milestone interaction and collaboration. Further to the point, he knows when to involve the client for strategic adjustments while not burdening with how he is accomplishing the work. Noel has a command of fundamental business goals and continuously considers these throughout the process.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The performance of continuously incorporating the strategic goals into projects. It clearly illustrates the high level of competence of the fundamental value proposition of PCA such that its employees work at a higher level.

Stay vigilant to maintain this level of performance.

We have been long time users of the WatchGuard hardware firewall devices to help secure our sites. We needed to replace devices that reached end of life. We hired PCA to upgrade and install the new devices.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

They were recommended by WatchGuard for our last upgrade and we chose to use them again for this upgrade.

They reviewed our device configurations and traffic. Reviewed our usage and needs with our staff prior to researching the appropriate devices to fit our needs. They then ordered, configured, and prepared the new devices for installation in advance of the go-live date.

On installation day, the technician, Trevor, arrived at the appointed time and was prepared. He installed and tested the first device, and then drove to our 2nd site and completed the installation there. Trevor worked closely with our in house IT and management to complete the installation and testing in a timely manner and with minimal disruption to our staff. Trevor was very professional and courteous and made every effort to make sure the install went smoothly.

He also researched and completed a change that was needed due to a configuration difference between the new and old hardware. This resulted in no negative impact to our business or our functionality for local and remote access to our systems. His efforts made the install a memorable one for all the right reasons.

The install went without incident, and our users didn't even notice. The one small wrinkle that was encountered, due to a manufacturer's change, was quickly rectified. The systems worked as if no changes were made, and our people were able to continue working as if nothing had changed.

Trevor's preparation, professionalism, enthusiasm, and knowledge, were refreshing and appreciated. Definitely something that we look for in a vendor and will bring us back to work with PCA again.
