Netizens’ team sends us weekly reports on their work, and I’m satisfied with the partnership. In addition, they’ve taken the time to know and familiarize themselves with our systems, which is key to avoiding any problems. Their team also offers additional services for page or content development and training sessions, which are very smooth.

Despite the time zone and language barriers, Netizens team delivers within deadlines and is detail-oriented, proactive in solving issues, and communicative in asking questions to understand our needs. We had a kick-off meeting to discuss our goals. After that, we delivered the XD wireframes for our website. After a few iterations, the Netizens team started developing the frontend using React. Short dailies allowed questions and possible simplifications to be answered quickly and productively.

Our contact is the project manager, who is the main contact for us and is always available for queries. In addition, two-three developers work for us.

Together with Netizens and Concept X, we took the website to a new level. The user-friendliness, the structure and the design regularly bring us positive feedback from our customers.

In the process of digitalization of enterprises, one of the central roles is played by the information supporting the management process as well as by data collection and analysis. The solution that works effectively in this field is our ERP system Impuls EVO. We needed an IT company to create a mobile tool for managing a product-based company, that would be closely linked to this system. The Start Screens application was supposed to transfer the most important company information to the smartphone.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We knew that Netizens had been strongly betting on activities in the mobile area in recent years. We checked them - they had a lot of experience and above all positive reviews. The first meeting showed that they have all the qualifications to support us in this case.

The application was built using Flutter. It is a technology that enables developing mobile applications that run on both iOS and Android. The Start Screens download data and use the infrastructure of the existing Impuls EVO platform. This solution enables enterprise resource planning. All data presented in the application are in one place and are updated in real-time, and built-in filters allow for customization of the displayed information.

During the project we were in constant contact with the Netizens project manager and account manager. On few occasions We also had the opportunity to have conversations with the Mobile Developer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Start Screens app gives you full control over the enterprise contained inside a smartphone. The application has a form of a dashboard and enables a quick overview of the most important indicators in the company. It puts great emphasis on intuitive operation and a clear interface. Presented data are adjusted to the user and one’s position in the company.

Each user can respectively filter the data and adjust it to the character of the company, one’s position in the organization, and one’s information needs. For more insightful analysis we are provided with charts, tables, and indicators. As a result, the application has become valuable not only for the management but also for employees. The application itself got a honorable mention in the Mobile Trends Awards 2020 (Poland).

We had great contact, they were very helpful. We mainly communicated via Redmine, email and phone. Everything went according to the schedule.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their unique knowledge of mobile application solutions was theit major strength. We also appreciate the technical qualifications of the developers. The overall experience with Netizens is something that makes them stand out from other similar companies. They absolutely make sure that we have just what we need.

I'm a Chief Specialist in Image Creation at the Upper Silesian Aviation Group (GTL). The main objective of the company is to manage the Katowice International Airport.

We needed the new version of our website. Before starting the project, we had three fundamental assumptions.

We wanted the website to be simple and provide passengers with quick access to key information. Secondly, the website was supposed to be fully responsive and easy to navigate on mobile devices. Finally, the new website was to have sales functions developed.

In the project Netizens were responsible for specification, UX, backend, creation and frontend.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have been cooperating with Netizens since 2004. They are our technology partner. Together we have already released two versions of the airport’s website and several software projects. We know them, their possibilities and potential.

Due to the fact that almost 70% of users used the airport’s website via mobile devices, the starting point for the project was to prepare a new website for mobiles. Netizens created a clickable prototype showing exactly how all user interactions with the website would look like – a total of over 170 views of the mobile version were collected.

Based on the created mockups they extracted about 40 templates of subpages, on the basis of which they created the rest of the site. The new website is a new flight schedule in the form of an advanced search engine. On the main page there is also a developed sales panel, which has been integrated with booking services of Katowice Airport partners.

The production team from Netizens were composed of 7-8 people, including UX/graphic designer, PHP developers, frontend developers and software testers. The project manager was our main point of contact.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Website is a response to both the user’s needs and the business needs of the airport. The website is clear, legible and easy to use.

Thanks to the tests of the most complicated functionalities, we have managed to simplify the process of car park or reservation service as much as possible. In the My Profil tab, the user has access to all information related to their account, detailed history of reservations and available discount codes.

Website received a prize in the Mobile Trends Awards 2019 competition. We won in the category Website or Mobile Service / RWD – useful.

We have great contact so the communication was flawless. We mainly communicated via email, phone and Redmine, but we also had meets at key moments of the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They’re impressively qualified and can handle any challenge. The entire team is professional. They provide great advice, which is something we wanted in a technology partner.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We are very satisfied with the service provided by Netizens. Everything went well with this project. I can't wait to work with them again.

I am a Corporate Director or Marketing for Truckee Gaming - a mother company for 6 casinos in Nevada, USA.

We wanted to communicate offers to our customers more effectively and more often via email (to eventually get rid of traditional and costly "snail mail". The problem was that our players didn't respond as expected despite acceptable open rates. They simply went blind to great offers that we sent them and never redeem them, even though they physically visited our casinos. We needed a tool that would "force" our guests to engage with our efforts (instead of just reading them).

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

One of key employees at Netizens was super-star student at the high-profile college that I attended as well, so there was serious trust right at the beginning of the decision-making process. Further research showed that I had been using some tools created by Netizens (without even knowing that), like airport parking system, etc.

Netizens created a 3-level tool for us:

1. back-end, web-based, user-friendly platform that allow the Marketing team to create custom, engaging on-line games (custom graphics, fonts, etc.)
2. on-cloud MySQL database that was directly and securely linked to our in-house SQL data warehouse - this assured immediate and proper offers for right players and correct times.
3. customer-facing mini website that our customers were taken to after receiving link (personal url) to their offers. on that page, they had to engage in some way, like picking one out of 6 presents, and such. The work flow was seamless to both my team and our guests. Full integrity of offers and expiration dates was fully met. Our customers performed their interactive activities at home and were able to redeem their offer inside our casinos with no problems.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The project was a true success and has now become a staple of our Marketing program. Redemption rates initially met and later even exceeded response rates that we were used to getting from traditional mail; to the point where we made a bold decision to get rid of direct mail and go "all green". Our email open rates doubled from our normal rates due to the fact that our customers now waited with excitement for upcoming email with interactive offers. Feedback was excellent.

We communicated mostly via email and Redmine. When needed and possible, we jumped on video e-meeting on Google Meetings. Communication was always flawless despite 9-hour time difference

They were very professional, yet so friendly and casual. Quite unique. This made the process much easier and faster. They also never say 'no'!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything was great. Netizens would have operate in our time zone to make the process any better but it wasn't really necessary.

I'm a Chief Information Officer at Edipresse Polska. We are a modern multimedia publishing company with the largest portfolio of services and magazines addressed to women in Poland.

The application provides among others, security of all data, access to work statistics on each number, control of work on files in InDesign, support and visualization of various types of materials – articles, advertisements, access to and access to PDF and InDesign files, import of SAP users, editing of texts or automatic upload of PDF files to the printing house.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

RPW 3.0 has improved communication on editorial work because the changes made by the user are updated and displayed to others in real-time. Thanks to the optimization of the system and its architecture, its stability and efficiency have significantly increased, which has a huge impact on the management of such a large number of files. Additionally, we have implemented functions monitoring and visualizing the current status of key elements of the system infrastructure.

I am the CEO of a company that designs electronic devices and produces software.

For what projects/services did your company hire Netizens?

We needed support in building and programming an IoT device. Smart Tag allows you to accurately locate objects (people, things) both indoors and outdoors.

SOLUTION

How did you select Netizens and what were the deciding factors?

To complete this project on time, we needed to engage a technology company with competencies similar to ours. We also knew that Netizens had been strongly betting on activities in the IoT area in recent years, and their R&D department only reinforced our belief that we made the right decision.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Smart Tag uses RTLS (Real Time Location Systems) technology to determine objects' location in time and space accurately. The radio technology used (UWB, Ultra-wideband) allows the application to focus on accurate sensor data collection, accurately locating and tracking beacon movement.

The user has the Smart Tag device operating as a Tag monitored by the application, allowing for accurate object location based on the distance to base points located in the monitored space. The device has low power consumption, and its range is up to 30 meters from the base points.

How many resources from the Netizens team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We were in constant contact with the project manager and account manager throughout the project. I also had the opportunity to have frequent conversations with the project team leader: Research and Development Leader, two Embedded Engineer, and a Technical Designer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our solution helps you make important business and marketing decisions, regardless of room type or industry. Smart Tag verifies what's happening in real-time and enables conclusions to be drawn already in the long term. A series of pilots are currently taking place with customers that I can't talk about yet.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The deadline for both parties meant the same thing, which is not so apparent daily. We had a precisely written work schedule. Everyone knew what their responsibilities were, and the communication went smoothly. They kept us informed about the tasks and who was working on what.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Netizen was skillfully built and a mix of many skills. There are simply no weak points. It was good to meet people so involved in the project and at the same time always looking for the best solutions for the client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything went according to plan, and the project was closed on time. Of course, during the work, there were some topics that we did not foresee initially, but then we could count on the support and experience of Netizens in the IoT area.

I’m the digital project manager at a communications agency.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Netizens?

We needed someone who could help us develop an events platform for an end client. We have software developers in-house, but not enough for bigger projects such as this one, so we decided to hire Netizens to support our development efforts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Netizens to help us build an events platform for an end client. Because of China’s internet censorship laws, we asked them to implement location features and develop two versions of the site with the same database for all content delivery to two different regions: China and the rest of the world.

We started the project by doing screen designing and programming at the same time. Normally, we would need to have a final screen design before starting developing the functions and programming the platform, but in this case, we didn’t have enough time to do it the normal way.

The platform had a live streaming functionality, team functions, interactive calendar, and various functions for the users such as bookmarking, video streaming, messaging, and more. We’ve successfully delivered the product to our client, and we’ve since started working on other projects with Netizens.

The overall team from Netizens is composed of 10–11 people, including frontend developers, backend developers, and a project manager.

Our company had worked with Netizens on a different project before I started working here.

We’ve invested around €100,000 (approximately $113,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in February 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

It’s hard to measure the impact of this project because it's the biggest one we’ve had so far, and it’s not the best example for a normal work case. But overall, the platform is stable and we haven’t noticed any unexpected problems with it.

How did Netizens perform from a project management standpoint?

Netizens is performing better now in terms of project management compared to our previous projects. When we started with our first project together, I had some problems with the project manager they provided. But ever since we’ve had the new project manager, everything has worked quite well.

We use Redmine and ClickUp to collaborate and manage the project.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Netizens’ honest and open communication, which is something that’s quite hard to find these days. We’ve established a very open and trusting relationship — we work very closely together and tell each other everything, which makes for a very collaborative working environment.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve already given most of my constructive feedback to Netizens directly last month, and we’ve since worked together to improve our process and the way we work together. But one thing I can mention is, that they should optimize their testing of the projects.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The best advice I could give is to always have a clear brief of your project in terms of the functionalities that you want. You have to communicate openly with Netizens and expect the same from them. Like every project that is based on programming, I would advise to add some additional time for testing and bug fixing to your projected timeline.

We are producer of medical device for asthmatics and patients with lung function problems. We developed innovative product, system, app, panel for patients and for doctors to better manage these diseases. I'm COO and co-founder, responsible for all technical and operational things.

We asked Netizens for first prototype of our conception, created all drawings, concepts, idea, mockups, but then we needed working prototype for investors.

Next stage was final device when we got investments, again we choose Netizens, and very quick we developed final device. Netizens also helped us with certification stage, provided all documentation, answered technical questions from regulatory body.

We still improve our device, adding new features, optimize, etc, so will still asking Netizens for some help. Right now we have great certified medical device, but there is still space for some new features.

We made some research, our ISO system needs to internal audits of subcontractors, so we compare many things, risks, price, and also understanding what we do

They developed first prototype, project of PCB (electronic board), advised about components, and also final project of PCB, they developed also firmware to this electronics, and we got also basic SDKa with simple mobile app, technical documentation.

Basically, the first prototype made by Netizens helped us get our first investment round! and final device right now is a registered medical device, available in many doctors offices. We are in the middle process of the new investment from new investor.

We have great contact, they are very friendly, helpful, even if I asked something late night:) for example for FDA, so we worked mostly by mail and TC.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

flexibility, we are still a startup, so this is very important, many directions, many conception, turns, etc, and also financial aspects, yes, they are very helpful. So more, professional approach to device electronics design, they advised us many things during concept phase.

Maybe, they should implement some on-line tools like troll, or float to manage the process for clients.

I'm a Chief Operating Officer and co-founder of Whisbear. It is a manufacturer of soothing toys that help parents to calm down their newborns and babies and put them to sleep. Our products have gained recognition from parents and children's industry experts around the world.

For what projects/services did your company hire Netizens?

We needed a company that would develop our existing products in terms of technology and help bring a new smart, soothing toy to the market - E-zzy The Sloth, which would be accompanied by a mobile application and parents' assistant.

What were your goals for this project?

To begin with, we had to focus on changing the configuration of the toy's hardware and developing and implementing the firmware. The next step was to create a native mobile application with a CMS panel for content management. Netizens was also co-responsible for the graphics and UX of the application.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Since 2017 Whisbear has been technologically supported by Microsoft. It was the IT giant that helped us join forces with Netizens and identified them as the ideal contractor for our project.

Describe the project in detail.

The device connects to an application on the parent's smartphone using Bluetooth. The app - written on iOS and Android - allows to control the toy, sends alerts to the parent's phone when the child starts crying and provides statistics to assess the quality of the child's sleep. In addition, the parent has a personalised calendar, a collection of practical tips and information (for example, advices from pediatricians), and a feature that allows you to document your baby's developmental steps and then share them with social media via the app.

During the project we were in constant contact with the Netizens project manager and account manager We also had the opportunity to have regular conversations with part of the production team - iOS Developer, Android Developer and PHP Programmer.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since its premiere in spring 2018, E-zzy The Sloth with the application has gained recognition from parents and children's industry experts around the world. The awards received so far are Kids' Time Star 2018 and Parents' Award 2018 Zabawkowicz.pl - Poland, 2018 Love By Parents Award and Banta Awards 2018 - United Kingdom and 2018 JPMA Innovation Award Finalist (USA). The application itself got a honorable mention in the Mobile Trends Awards 2018 (Poland).

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was flawless. Everyone knew exactly what responsibilities lay on them and followed the deadlines.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Wide range of qualifications of Netizens developers and their multitasking, and our work required very extensive skills. From working on the hardware layer of the project, through the software of the device to the creation of applications. We were able to do all this together with them.

Everything went according to the schedule. Although there were issues that we didn't foresee at the beginning, we could count on Netizens for support.
