What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Monterail delivered a fully functional automated system integrated with external platforms. The new system significantly improved how we manage pricing across our portfolio, replacing a manual process with an automated, intelligent solution with a long-term revenue impact for both us and our property owners.

Although we didn't track formal KPIs for the platform itself, the key measure of success for us was operational. The system worked as intended, integrations ran reliably, and our team was able to move on to further development without major issues.

The solution developed by Monterail significantly simplified the process of preparing court writs, resulting in reduced work time and fewer repetitive tasks. This led to lower operational costs for the law firm and allowed staff to allocate more time to other projects, ultimately increasing revenue.

The project management was exemplary. The team was extremely communicative, both as to reporting the progress, as well as to requesting the input from us as the need arose. Monterail made significant efforts to understand our work processes and how these should be reflected in the IT tool. The provider proactively identified issues that needed to be addressed during the project. When unforeseen issues arose during development, they demonstrated great flexibility and proactivity in finding solutions that worked for both parties. All tasks were delivered on time

What stood out most about Monterail was their visionary approach to business and their dedication to ensuring the project was a success for our firm. In terms of timeliness, the company delivered key project components according to the agreed schedule. When unforeseen technical challenges arose, they were flexible and proposed alternative solutions, ensuring a smooth implementation process.

The project included: re-design of the site, complete work on the front-end and back-end, creation of a custom CMS taking into account the needs of the editorial team, implementation of AI functions to support the work of the editorial team, including the accessibility of materials, and transfer of the archive of 11,000 texts from the old version of the site.

Very senior mambers of leadership and management of Monterail have been directly involved in keeping oversight of the team on the project and are always contactable, accessible and responsive. Was impressed by the regular relationship meetings. During the project, I had some challenges associated with a change in the Project Manager on the team, but Monterail very quickly responds to concerns raised by the client and quickly implements actions to resolve them.

The project manager is always responsive, with regular feedback meetings and check-ins and it felt like he was always "on my side" and personally invested in the project.

Our website was created in 2018 when the startup was funded and when the business was not well defined yet. The company has evolved since, and the homepage was out of date. We have been collaborating with Monterail since the beginning, and one of the projects they were involved to was indeed the new homepage of our website in order for it to reflect our current business.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We asked Monterail to assist as they have been with us from the beginning and they knew our business and its principles. They are in fact out IT support.

We kicked off by defining our goals and priorities. We wanted the new homepage to reflect our current principles and work. We had a kick off session where we briefed Monterail and we discussed about the different aspects of the projects. We had several meeting with the designer where she walked us through each session: she was suggesting ideas and we were providing for feedbacks each time to be adjusted. During the implementation they also updated Rails to the last version.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with 4 people: the project manager, a web designer, a frontend developer and a junior frontend developer which was assigned at no costs.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The developers were able to implement the new homepage easily and in a very usel-friendly manner. We received good suggestions from a design point of view. The homepage reflects well what we do and make it clear to our clients. As it as just been implemented we could not get much metrics, but we received positive feedback from people from our team.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Most of the communication was handled through Slack. The project manager kept us uptodate all the team and we also had access to their project management tool on Jira which allowed us to monitor the progress of the project at any time. We had biweekly calls to discuss the tasks and any issue, but the Monterail team was also available for any urgent call we had to do. The deadline was not always met, but they kept us uptodate about potential delays.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated their patience in dealing with us, especially when we were late to provide the content to be implemented. They really value their relationship with the client and they also provided us with an additional junior developer at no cost as a sign of goodwill. The project manager has been very good with keeping us uptodate all the time and to manage our expectations.

Things could have been done faster, but we are satisfied with the result and the collaboration.

We have launched various features. Code was deployed to production on a regular basis.

They quite had a human approach and were open to adaptation towards our needs. For their management, it was important to understand our needs and then we would come to the desired setup which will support us.

There was some challenges on estimating the amount of time to complete some of the tasks. But this is somewhat because of the current product architecture. We probably would start with a different project with more defined components / modules vs one that reaches the entire application
