Since we started working together, we have seen a big change in our lead generation efforts. Our sales efforts have become much more internet focused and we have seen a steady increase in the number of leads generated online. We're very pleased with the quality of Monsoon's work and look forward to many more years of collaboration.

We have regular in-person meetings as well as online meetings. When we have questions, we can always ask them in emails and they get back to us quickly with answers.

Our relationship with the partner has evolved from a partnership solely focused on search advertising to a more general consulting one. Our needs no matter how difficult or obscure are always met with willing and knowledge.

Also, the passion that Monika brings to the advertising accounts is something that I haven’t seen before — I’ve worked with other agencies, and they’re the only ones that I’ve enjoyed working with.

Give them a test run and try it out. Also, try to communicate your needs from them before you go into anything. They’re flexible around your needs and coming to an arrangement. First, we had a extensive insight meeting with some follow up online meetings to make sure we are on the same page as per the campaign details: target group, sectors, location etc We also discussed the tactics for LinkedIn and Google AdWords respectively. Once this was done, the agency prepared the campaign communication materials which we reviewed and commented on.

During the campaign we stayed in touch regularly to make changes to impove campaign performance. At the end of the project we met for a wrap-up meeting discussing results, lesson learnt and feedback to be used for the next campaign.

This was a very first, test campaing to udnerstand the potential of the social media we selected. We had quite a small budget for this purpose. But, we significantly increase the traffic to our site and got some leads we are currently working on. But most importantly, as had planned from the very beginning, we learnt what works what doesnt and can apply the findings in the next campaign.

We just went live with our app for Android and iOS in the App Store and we wanted to reach a big audience. We don’t have much organic growth yet so that’s why we wanted to engage MONSOON.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provide us with support in setting up Google Ads and Facebook Ads. They also help with connecting those ads with the performance events from the app so we can measure the cost preinstalled and the cost per registration more accurately. MONSOON suggested that we make the content accessible directly, so we optimized the URLs to access our blog posts. Social media is used for marketing to connect with audiences. Last month we talked more about SEO and how that will intensify moving forward.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their work helped us significantly by reducing the costs for overtime per installation coverage. We now have 1,700 users, which we are very proud of because the budget we used for Facebook and Google wasn’t very high. Probably about 90% of the new users are coming from the ads.

How did MONSOON perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re good. We meet regularly once a week where they present us the latest numbers of the week, how many additional users we have, how the ads are performing from a cost perspective, and what suggestions they have to improve engagement. Maciej always comes up with new ideas which help us get new users. We communicate through video calls and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I find their can-do attitude to be the most impressive because not every marketing agency is willing to work with a small startup in the early stages. Their expertise is also very good. We get support to deal with Facebook and Google, and these are programs we don’t actually always know how to set up. A lot of companies have their own opinions of how to do things and with MONSOON, we’re a really good match.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I think they lack a bit in customer engagement. We want to be able to keep our users and currently we really just increase the number of new users.

Clarify in the beginning what the expectations are in terms of budget and service. It was very helpful for us to be transparent with the stage and exact situation.

Our problem was that we didn’t have the language capabilities in-house to respond to comments in German. There has been an increase in engagement with our profiles. We’re slowly building our community. Engagement has improved, but we’re hoping to see a higher influx of messages in the coming months.

How did MONSOON perform from a project management standpoint?

We usually communicate via email, so that's how MONSOON provides us with data and recommendations. Those are useful. There’s been good communication from their team, which also completes work on time.

At the moment, it’s hard to say because the nature of the project isn’t big. It’s only been a few months, but everything has gone well.

They’re very good when it comes to performance marketing and analyzing data, so we’re 100% sure that its under control. Consequentially, we can invest our money in an appropriate way.

When it comes to the creative area, it’s harder to judge right now. With Google Ads, impression shares are around 87% depending on the campaign. We’ve been able to reach this number of impressions due to our cooperation with them. We plan for this to be a long-term collaboration.

What challenge were you trying to address with MONSOON - Online Marketing?

We had a very poorly performing website from a SEO perspective – organic and inorganic. There were fundamental issues to the website structure that made it unattractive to Google. The initial goal was to bring the site back up to the performance of the old site in the short term. We wanted to regain our Google credibility.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Originally, the project was to identify our problems because we had no clue why we’d fallen off Google’s radar so dramatically. We engaged MONSOON to identify what the causes were. That was phase one, and that took some time. Phase two was implementing practical things: removing toxic links. And then it was forensic work in terms of establishing the new site – we had more products and groups of products. We wanted to realign the site with the new mix of products we had.

There is also ongoing SEO work, but the forensic work is concluded. There’s a great balance between SEO and PPC. He’s actually reduced our PPC budget by 50%, which is fantastic.

I work with two people. There are many people behind it but I work with Matchiek and his partner.

I’d known Matchek from a previous life, and I’ve always respected his knowledge of the SEO world. We already had a really good relationship from when he worked at another agency. When he set up MONSOON, and we were desperately in need of the work, it made it a no-brainer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Acoustic pods and dens are all the rage in the furniture world. Their tweaks behind the scenes have caused us to be overwhelmed with inquiries about this product range. That’s coming from zero products being available. We’ve jockeyed for position on the search listings really well. They’ve done an amazing job on that front. In the face of the site being compromised by backlinks, they’ve done a brilliant job remedying that.

We map the monthly visits to each of the targeted product ranges. That’s a continuous process.

How did MONSOON - Online Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

We have monthly reviews on a live video chat, which I found really helpful. They’re based in Poland, and it’s always good to have, effectively, a live meeting. It feels more human. You can register people’s emotions more easily. The telephone is one thing, but it’s sort of two-dimensional.

I look forward to the reviews, and not just from a business perspective. It’s good to have a chat with them. Largely, communication is reserved to email and phone calls.

If something happens in between our monthly reviews, they’re proactive about getting on the phone. Their administration is great.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish I could pay them more and have more of their time because they’re very good. That’s it.
