When it comes to the creative area, it’s harder to judge right now. With Google Ads, impression shares are around 87% depending on the campaign. We’ve been able to reach this number of impressions due to our cooperation with them. We plan for this to be a long-term collaboration.

What challenge were you trying to address with MONSOON - Online Marketing?
We had a very poorly performing website from a SEO perspective – organic and inorganic. There were fundamental issues to the website structure that made it unattractive to Google. The initial goal was to bring the site back up to the performance of the old site in the short term. We wanted to regain our Google credibility.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
Originally, the project was to identify our problems because we had no clue why we’d fallen off Google’s radar so dramatically. We engaged MONSOON to identify what the causes were. That was phase one, and that took some time. Phase two was implementing practical things: removing toxic links. And then it was forensic work in terms of establishing the new site – we had more products and groups of products. We wanted to realign the site with the new mix of products we had.
There is also ongoing SEO work, but the forensic work is concluded. There’s a great balance between SEO and PPC. He’s actually reduced our PPC budget by 50%, which is fantastic.
What is the team composition?
I work with two people. There are many people behind it but I work with Matchiek and his partner.
How did you come to work with MONSOON - Online Marketing?
I’d known Matchek from a previous life, and I’ve always respected his knowledge of the SEO world. We already had a really good relationship from when he worked at another agency. When he set up MONSOON, and we were desperately in need of the work, it made it a no-brainer.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Acoustic pods and dens are all the rage in the furniture world. Their tweaks behind the scenes have caused us to be overwhelmed with inquiries about this product range. That’s coming from zero products being available. We’ve jockeyed for position on the search listings really well. They’ve done an amazing job on that front. In the face of the site being compromised by backlinks, they’ve done a brilliant job remedying that.
We map the monthly visits to each of the targeted product ranges. That’s a continuous process.
How did MONSOON - Online Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We have monthly reviews on a live video chat, which I found really helpful. They’re based in Poland, and it’s always good to have, effectively, a live meeting. It feels more human. You can register people’s emotions more easily. The telephone is one thing, but it’s sort of two-dimensional.
I look forward to the reviews, and not just from a business perspective. It’s good to have a chat with them. Largely, communication is reserved to email and phone calls.

If something happens in between our monthly reviews, they’re proactive about getting on the phone. Their administration is great.

What challenge were you trying to address with MONSOON - Online Marketing?
We wanted to increase traffic and conversions coming into our company through online search engine advertising. It was important for us to grow our efforts with Google.

What was the scope of their involvement?
Prior to bringing on their team, we were handling our Google Ads account on our own. They took it over upon being onboarded and set up tests to organize the account and improve tracking. Their team recommended solutions to us based on their knowledge of Google PPC algorithms. Our teams worked closely to iterate on our strategy throughout our relationship.
In addition to their digital marketing services, we’ve also discussed the potential for social media advertising and brand strategy.

So far, through their customer engagement tracking, our traffic has more than doubled and our cost per customer has been cut in half.
How did MONSOON - Online Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
We had a weekly call with them during which we’d discuss strategy and operational execution of the work. Our meetings always went well, and they were able to meet our set deadlines.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They have a very analytical approach, focusing on the actual results rather than what seems best. When working with them, their high-energy and willingness to go the extra mile for us is refreshing. They’ll even work evenings in urgent times if needed.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Nothing comes to mind. They’re a smaller company, so they should be able to specialize more as they grow.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They have strong abilities, so I’d recommend partnering with them. Because they’re smaller, they can tend to get busy though.
