Leadbase is a lead management platform. It provides a hosted lead integration backend, which is compatible with most CMS's and lead acquisition channels. Using Leadbase, you can capture incoming leads, apply a screening/KYC process, and integrate the resulting data into your back office CRM automatically. I am the Director at Amberstone Digital, the company producing this platform.

For what projects/services did your company hire Modern Day Strategy?

We hired Modern Day Strategy to build a new website for Leadbase - including the web design and web development in Webflow, along with infographic design and content editing.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We initially got in contact with Modern Day Strategy via a local Slack community for technology vendors and companies in South Africa. I was impressed by their overall experience and professionalism during the initial engagement, and decided to hire on the basis of their portfolio.

The project was pretty straightforward. I provided the team with the copy for the website and they took it from there. In addition, there were some designs required for infographics that we worked on before adding these to the website.

I communicated with Marcel who is their Director, Charlize who did the development, and then Natalie was the one who worked on the designs for the infographics.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Communication was really effective over email, and we only needed one in-person (virtual) meeting otherwise.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was really impressed with the clear communication, rapid turnaround times, and their willingness to go the extra mile on the sets of revisions I sent over. Modern Day Strategy made it clear that they were willing to help with all aspects of this build, and they produced great output on both the Webflow and the graphic design side.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

This was a straightforward project, and I was very happy with the results. Nothing comes to mind.

We spent A LOT of time on branding a the overall design of the website. I'm not sure what technologies were uses, but I know it was all custom built by the team.

After launching our website our online classes grew significantly and these now remain a good part of our business.

We were very happy with their patience. We must have changed the design of the website at least 5 times to get it perfect. The team was always accommodating in this regard and most importantly, we got the perfect design that we were looking for.

Their design skills, hard work, and fair pricing stood out in the workflow.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The website could have been finished quicker if they had used Wordpress instead of custom building.

Our brand has seen significant traction and our clients love how we are different from other businesses in the industry.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We had weekly meetings and it was always easy to communicate with the team outside of those meetings. The team at Modern Day Strategy was an absolute pleasure to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was blown away by their creativity and ability to get things done flawlessly in an extremely short amount of time. I also was extremely impressed with how they genuinely want to see their clients businesses flourish and put 110% into making that a reality.

Nothing! I loved working with them and they executed on the deliverables flawlessly.

I heard of them through a friend. I decided to choose them after hearing about their reasonable prices, great communication and design skills.

I was looking for someone to create a website that was very approachable, playful and friendly to attract parents who are looking for an occupational therapist for their children. I met with them to explain my vision for my branding and they communicated very well with a few meetings to fine tune everything.

In total, I worked with two people which made it easy, especially with my busy schedule.

I have been receiving more clients through my website and have had compliments on the design! I'm extremely happy with the outcome and am pleased to see how having a solid website that uniquely embodies my work improves my business and the number of clientele.

The communication was excellent and if I had an issue, it was easy to solve with the team.

I loved how they took a simple concept I had for my brand and turned it into something I could have never imagined. They are highly creative and have excellent skills in optimization and design.

If I had to say anything that could have gone differently is the time spent on the website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Modern Day Strategy handled the full development of our platform. The scope of work included UI/UX design, user sign-in and authentication, and user and advertiser dashboards with analytics.

We started working together in January 2025, and the project was completed in May 2025.

Modern Day Strategy has delivered the website on time and within budget. We’ve received good comments about the website, and people are looking forward to using it. We’ve also seen an increase in user traffic.
