Migrate our shopify store to a new theme, as well as executing a new upgrade for our recurring order platform.  We also wanted to implement shipping functionality into our store.

The project successfully migrated the Bold subscription app, optimized shipping and delivery systems with ShipStation, and enhanced website features, resulting in improved site performance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Chirag (Project Manager) demonstrated excellent project management skills. Everything we requested was delivered on time, and he was very responsive to our requests. He has been proactive in his approach, and adjusted priorities well to align with our goals. We had clear communication with him, and our experience has been very positive.

Mobikasa was onboarded to help us in a multitude of ways. First and most important was to start pushing through an ever-growing backlog of development work that our in-house team couldn't get to. Along with the churn through our backlog, they helped us better analyze our media and website performance by optimizing our analysis tools. Lastly, we used Mobikasa for a variety of technical SEO pieces building a better structure to our site along with making us more ADA compliant.

From a development standpoint, we were keeping close eyes on our website engagement rates / bounce rates, time on site along with visual analysis through Hotjar to make sure the customer journey as as efficient as possible.

Along with that, we also monitored our page load times, ADA compliance scores and keyword analysis to make sure we were not only keeping up with competition but industry standards also.

Communication was always strong through our project manager. Work, for the most part, was always completed within the time frame that was communicated at the time of assignment.

I’m a freelancer. I manage all of Kiwana’s websites; design and maintenance are all under my thumb. Kiwana is a cosmetic company that hasn’t been launched; we’re still under production.

What challenge were you trying to address with MOBIKASA?

We initially decided to go with in-house designers on the WordPress base. However, we started to look for a professional agency because we were planning to go global, so we didn’t want to compromise the quality.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Once we signed the deal with MOBIKASA, we told them our in-depth requirements, including the kind of website we wanted, our customers, and the category we wanted to target. After we explained everything, they helped us identify a team based on our requirements.

MOBIKASA created a Figma prototype that showed what the end product would look like. The model included all the pages from the homepage to the collection, contact, career, and customer support pages. Everything was functional, like an actual website.

They gave us the option to change the design later. After the Figma prototype, we finalized the design, development, and testing.

Additionally, MOBIKASA helped us with some content design.

What is the team composition?

The team assigned Mohd (Project Manager) as the project manager.

How did you come to work with MOBIKASA?

After we decided to use Shopify, we looked for vendors on Google and the Shopify platform. Shopify had a dedicated section for Shopify-certified developers. 

We shortlisted 10 developers. After talking with more than 10 agencies, we evaluated them by asking them for quotations, examples of their work, and explanations of their process. After the in-depth evaluation, we concluded that MOBIKASA was perfect.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent around $12,000. We had to pay 40% upfront, and then the development started. After almost 80% of the completion, we had to pay 40% again. Once the project was complete, we paid 20%, and they released the website.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2024, and they completed the project in April 2024.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website is ready; we expect to go live in the next 1–2 months. 

How did MOBIKASA perform from a project management standpoint?

MOBIKASA was very transparent when it came to business; nothing was hidden. Once we selected the primary objective, they asked us to give the requirements. They were also very particular about timelines. If the deadline was 3:00 p.m., everything would be ready by 3:00 p.m., and they kept a one-day lead time. Nonetheless, they were flexible.

We had regular contact, including weekly and daily meetings and continuous voice calls. We had a WhatsApp group involving all the designers and stakeholders. If something required immediate assistance, they posted it on the WhatsApp group.

Additionally, we had a meeting every Tuesday at 1:00 through Google Meet. The meetings lasted 1-2 hours, and they showed us the design or shared the screen to explain everything and ask any doubts they had. Overall, they were available for voice calls almost anytime during office hours.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Mohd was an excellent project manager. He was always cooperative, even after the development phase. We asked him to make some changes, and he completed everything without issues.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MOBIKASA had excellent designers. Their work was pixel-perfect; everything was mentioned, and every font, border, and color was defined properly. Moreover, they were incredibly transparent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there was no need for improvement. They were a well-organized company.

We blindly recommend them to anyone. Go ahead.

I’m the IT project manager at a government organization that works primarily on elections.

What challenge were you trying to address with MOBIKASA?

We needed support developing a web application for the public to create profiles for candidates running for elections.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MOBIKASA designed and developed a web application where candidates running for an election could create a profile, and registered voters could sign a petition for these candidates. We provided MOBIKASA with our initial requirements, and the team conducted all development work. Our goal with this project was to be legally compliant because a law passed last year said we needed to have an online option available for our voters. 

We had ongoing discovery sessions with MOBIKASA's developers, who followed the Agile methodology. We had to circle back and refine our requirements until we got to a design we were happy with. MOBIKASA then conducted testing, training, and deployment processes.

We worked primarily with Mohd (Project Manager) and Kritika Verma (Project Manager). We also worked with Ankit (COO) and a development team, including Gaurab (Team Lead).

We worked with MOBIKASA on this project from October–December 2023. Our web app was completed, and the team provides maintenance and support services.

The only thing MOBIKASA could improve on is their communication in English. There was a slight language barrier at the beginning.

A different development agency started building the app, and then we transitioned to MOBIKASA. The team continues to work on improving our in-store customer experience, and we've established a maintenance plan with MOBIKASA for a monthly retaining fee.

We measure MOBIKASA's work according to the number of tasks they complete, and the team has a 100% success rate completing the tasks we've assigned. 

How did MOBIKASA perform from a project management standpoint?

MOBIKASA completes work on time or ahead of schedule. The team stays on budget, and we have weekly meetings scheduled with them on Google Meet. We also have a Slack channel to communicate and use Asana for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

MOBIKASA has a complete team of engineers and developers to work on a client's solution. Although MOBIKASA hasn't built our solution from scratch, they've quickly read and understood our solution to enhance it.

I can't think of anything for MOBIKASA to improve.
