What was the scope of their involvement?

MOBIKASA developed a custom e-commerce website for us. At the start of the project, MOBIKASA asked to set up a call, after which they gave their pitch. Then, we had another call to discuss the pitch further with their team. 

I created the basic idea of what the site would look like, and MOBIKASA took my idea and designed it further. They developed the website on Shopify, but they gave many other options. One of the most important features for us was enabling customers to upload an image when they check out that got sent to us on a backend application.

What is the team composition?

We mainly worked with an account manager. Pallavi (Executive Assistant (Project Management)) was also on most of the calls we had throughout the development process. There were definitely other MOBIKASA teammates involved, but they were only on the first few calls.

We invested $22,000.

We engaged MOBIKASA between November 2022–August 2023.

How did you come to work with MOBIKASA?

We did a Google search, talked to multiple companies, and ended up liking MOBIKASA the most. We reached out via their website and appreciated their attentiveness and responsiveness to our original inquiry; After we told them what we wanted, MOBIKASA quickly gave us a presentation showing what they could offer. They also had a really good price for what they were offering.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

MOBIKASA completed the website, and the design and quality were top-notch. They went above and beyond my expectations, and I had high standards for the website. We haven’t launched it yet, so there are no quantitative metrics to share at this point. 

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

MOBIKASA’s account manager was very attentive and helped us along the way. He gave A-plus work throughout the project. MOBIKASA was timely and made changes very quickly; I was impressed with how quickly they could make adjustments. They stayed right on the budget we initially agreed to throughout the whole project. We used Google Meet for meetings and tracked and managed the project through Trello.

What did you find most impressive about them?

A lot of companies said that our desired features wouldn’t be possible or would cost two or three times as much as what MOBIKASA charged.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I had a really positive experience with MOBIKASA.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Make sure you have a clear vision before reaching out. If I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, the budget could have gone over while trying to figure that out, which would’ve been my mistake.

User feedback has been positive about the sites, and MOBIKASA meets our end client’s standards and goals.

They deliver quickly and within deadlines. There have been a few bugs throughout the process, but that’s expected, and they fix them. MOBIKASA has been honest about their ability to finish tasks, and they follow a strict process. They set expectations and deliver. We communicate via phone calls, WhatsApp, and Microsoft Teams.

We want to shout out Preeti (Project Manager). She is always on top of the project and is approachable. We’ve had a smooth interaction because of her, and the knowledge she brings to the engagement is valuable. We’d also like to shout out Priyanshu (Web Solutions). 

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of the things that we find so impressive about MOBIKASA is their willingness to go above and beyond. They don’t just take requirements; they come up with their own point of view and are transparent about the cost and how difficult maintenance on the project will be.

I’ve worked with multiple teams from MOBIKASA, and they have all been great. We also appreciate how straightforward and respectful they are in their approach. They’re focused on the project and not necessarily the money.

We wish they had a few more Adobe Experience Manager resources because that is so valuable, and at some points during the process, we didn’t always have access.

Figure out your budget and make sure that it aligns with MOBIKASA. They will be very upfront with their abilities and what they can realistically do for you.

In 2019, we signed up with Mobikasa to upgrade our website to a new theme with better search capabilities for customers. The second big project was to Integrate our store gift card system so they could be redeemed on the website. This had to be developed by Mobikasa since our Store gift card provider did not have a Shopify app or integration. 

Recently, we needed Mobikasa to upgrade our theme to a 2.0 version. They have also provided trouble-shooting support on various issues that have arisen on our website. Currently, they are working on re-designs for the home page and product pages.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

There were several projects that were completed. I believe the success is that we have a fully functioning website. Mobikasa (Ayush and Shriya) has been instrumental in the development and maintenance of our website.

Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?

They were able to complete the projects within a timely manner. Delays were mostly due to third party communication of information delays. The Mobikasa project manager and dedicated magic maker have excellent response times to any inquiry I have made.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We have had several different associates from Mobikasa over the years. During the transitions between different staff, it has always been a smooth transition that did not affect the on-going projects or their completion. Also, I value the high level of communication Mobikasa has provided even though we are on very different time zones.

Are there any areas for improvement or something MOBIKASA could have done differently?

No. When we first signed up with Mobikasa, our original project did take a little longer than the projected completion date. However, the Mobikasa staff we have been working with the last couple of years have been really good.

MOBIKASA’s work has helped us improve our general SEO rankings and organic traffic. In addition, we have one of our top keywords on the first page, which has been helpful. Overall, our partnership with MOBIKASA has been successful.

We’ve encountered several employee departures and communication issues within their team. Other than that, everything has been good.

Be clear with your goals and your key success metrics. In addition, ensure you have a dedicated member of MOBIKASA’s team managing your account to have a cadence of meetings and keep the project’s momentum and constant communication.

I'm the brand manager at ITC Limited, a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) company.

What challenge were you trying to address with MOBIKASA?

We're a traditional FMCG company. We do general trade, FMCG, and distribute our products to retail outlets. With MOBIKASA, we aimed to create a website to enter the D2C segment. We wanted to sell our products to reach the consumer directly. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

Our team has been collaborating with MOBIKASA to develop three Shopify websites from scratch. We are closely involved in the process. 

We had some e-commerce giants in mind as references who are prevalent in India. 

The first site is an e-commerce website that sells Ashirwad products. MOBIKASA was given our complete Ashirwad brand language, and they successfully incorporated the functionality of the references we provided with our brand design and logo. 

They've provided end-to-end services, including design creation, SKU listing, inventory management software integration, website development, graphics, and Shopify coding. Currently, two other websites are being developed and are more content based. The team is responsible for designing and architecting the websites, conducting quality assurance, website maintenance, improving performance, and adding new pages as the products grow.

We work directly with the project manager. She communicates with all stakeholders and coordinates the project. She involves the appropriate individuals to ensure seamless progress.

We searched for agencies specializing in developing Shopify sites. We narrowed our options to four companies based on our criteria and budget. We invited them to pitch and were impressed with the work MOBIKASA had previously done. 

Following a call with them, we ultimately decided to proceed with their services. As this was the first project outsourced by ITC Limited, we didn't have internal references to rely on.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've received great feedback on our overall experience. Our CRM team has been in direct contact with over 50 customers who have ordered from our site, and 99% of them have thoroughly enjoyed the website's experience. Our goal was to create a seamless checkout process, and we have been successful. 

Before launching our website, we exclusively sold our products offline. Since its launch, we have noticed a substantial boost in sales within our geographic region. Approximately 5% of our sales come through the website, and we are happy with this progress.

How did MOBIKASA perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management has been impeccable. In the past, we faced challenges with some of our partners, but MOBIKASA has proved to be exceptional. Their team ensures timely delivery and stays within budget.

We predominantly communicate via email, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. We have scheduled weekly meetings where they share and update us. They gave us access to Shopify, allowing us to log in and check the progress. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm thoroughly impressed with their prompt delivery. The team is successfully executing all their plans while maintaining the high quality of their design. Despite having a limited timeframe, they've done an excellent job.

They consistently meet our expectations, which is why we have trusted them with additional projects. MOBIKASA is now our go-to partner for any development needs.

They’ve had some issues being on time with deliverables. There have been a few delays, but the project is almost done. The timelines have changed throughout the project, though. The budget has been as expected; there haven’t been any changes there.

We needed their development expertise for our e-commerce website. Since we’re a rental platform, there’s no off-the-shelf solution available.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

MOBIKASA has built an e-commerce website for us from scratch. They’ve finished phase one of the project and are now working on phase two. 

Initially, MOBIKASA met with us to get our requirements. Then, they came back to us with a project timeline, cost, and contract. Once we decided to move forward, I had discussions with MOBIKASA’s design team, who came back to us with designs, which we tweaked.

Once the design was confirmed, we moved on to the build stage. We supplied MOBIKASA with images, and they built the website and its different modules. Then, we had a testing phase, and now we’ve gone live with the product.

How did the company perform from a project management standpoint?

MOBIKASA is very easily contactable. We’re based in the UK, and they’re based in India, so we use WhatsApp for quick communication and email as well. If we need to, we jump on a call. We also use a Trello board to put up queries that need further investigation.

We went over deadlines slightly due to holidays or issues on the rental module, but there were no significant delays.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

MOBIKASA has a very approachable and knowledgeable team. They’re easy to contact and willing to accommodate requests.

Are there any areas they could improve?

A MOBIKASA staff member decided to leave during the project, and we could’ve been told about this earlier; however, most companies don’t tell clients about these staff changes.

Have your design in mind before you speak to the design team so you know exactly what you want. Also, work according to your timeline.
