The main objectives were to digitize attendance tracking, create a teacher dashboard for daily operations, implement a student management system, and set up real-time push notifications for parents and staff. We also needed a reliable backend API to support all these features.

Mercarue delivered a complete mobile application for iOS and Android using Flutter for the frontend and Spring Boot for the backend API.

The app significantly improved our school operations. Attendance tracking became 70% faster, teacher-parent communication improved drastically through push notifications, and the full staff was onboarded within the first week. Are there any areas for improvement or something Mercarue could have done differently?

Overall, our experience with Mercarue was very positive and we have no major complaints.

If we had to mention one area for improvement, it would be  the initial documentation phase. At the beginning of the project, we could have spent more time defining all the requirements in detail. However, this was partly on our side as well — we were not always clear about our exact needs from the start.

Mercarue adapted quickly whenever we requested changes and handled the situation professionally. Looking back, this is a minor point that did not significantly impact the final result.

I'm the founder of Styleek, an e-commerce company. We help businesses reach more customers through innovative digital solutions and seamless e-commerce experiences.

What challenge were you trying to address with Mercarue?

We hired Mercarue to design and develop the full digital presence of Styleek, a Tunisian fashion and lifestyle marketplace. Our objectives were to build a responsive web platform and a cross-platform mobile application (iOS & Android) that would allow vendors to list their products and customers to browse, discover, and purchase items seamlessly. We also needed a reliable, scalable technical foundation to support our growth as we onboard more vendors and expand our customer base.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Since launching with Mercarue, Styleek has successfully onboarded over 30 vendors on the platform, with a growing catalog across fashion and lifestyle categories. The mobile app has gone live on both iOS and Android, and we've been steadily building our user base. The platform has been stable with no major technical issues post-launch, and the vendor onboarding process Mercarue has built has significantly reduced the time it takes to get new sellers up and running. We've also seen consistent growth in our Instagram community to over 2,000 followers, driven in part by the credibility the platform itself brings.Since the platform launched, we have onboarded 30+ active vendors, ranging from independent fashion designers to lifestyle artisans. Our Instagram community has grown to over 2,000 followers, helping drive organic traffic to the platform. The mobile app is live on both the App Store and Google Play, and we are currently in an active growth phase focused on expanding our vendor base and increasing buyer engagement. While we are still in early stages, the technical foundation Mercarue has built has allowed us to iterate quickly and scale without facing infrastructure issues.Since launch, the Styleek platform has recorded 76 orders, processed through a catalog of 696 products listed by 34 active vendors, and has acquired 239 registered customers. These numbers reflect an early but healthy traction for a marketplace that is still in its growth phase. The technical infrastructure delivered by Mercarue has handled all transactions smoothly with no downtime or critical issues reported.

How did Mercarue perform from a project management standpoint?

Mercarue's project management has been smooth and professional throughout. They use Jira to track tasks and tickets, which gives us full visibility into progress at every stage. We use WhatsApp for day-to-day communication, which keeps things fast and responsive. The project has been delivered on time, with no delays. Deadlines have been respected consistently, and whenever we have feedback or change requests, the team is quick to incorporate them without impacting the overall timeline.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What stands out most about working with Mercarue is their exceptional responsiveness — they are always quick to reply, whether it's a simple question or an urgent technical issue. But beyond availability, what truly impresses us is how proactive they are. They don't just execute what we ask for — they regularly come to us with suggestions to improve the product, anticipate potential issues, and optimize the user experience in ways we haven't thought of ourselves.For a startup like Styleek working with a tight budget, the value we get from Mercarue is outstanding. The quality of the deliverables far exceeds what we expect for the price, which is rare to find.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, there isn't much to criticize. If I had to mention one thing, it would be that early in the project, the technical discussions were sometimes quite detailed and required some back-and-forth to align on the right approach. But looking back, that thoroughness has actually contributed to a better end product. A more structured onboarding process at the start might have streamlined things slightly, but it was a minor point that had no impact on the final outcome.
