I enlisted The Media Captain to update my website in several key areas. First, the registration pages were updated aesthetically and designed to be more user-friendly. In addition, there were several "kinks" in the system that needed to be corrected.

Currently, we are improving my mobile site to work more in sync with our overall process. Moving forward, I hope to have an ongoing relationship with the team at The Media Captain to keep my site fresh and optimize productivity.

I'm the owner of a music school with 12 locations around Metro Detroit and Metro DC. We teach private music lessons in instruments such as piano, voice, guitar, drums, violin, etc. to students of all ages and skill levels.

We had three locations at the time we hired The Media Captain and one of them wasn't ranking very well on search engines. We were also planning to open two more locations soon and knew we would need help getting those locations to rank. It's important for us to be at the top of page 1 of Google for certain key word searches and even though we tried various things, we were having trouble accomplishing this on our own. I also needed help running our Google Adwords campaigns.

The Media Captain was highly recommended to me by various other music school owners who had greatly benefited from their services. I had a meeting with the owner and liked what he had to offer. Their price point was reasonable considering the size of our business and they offered to take all of this confusing work off of my hands and get us ranking well on Google!

The Media Captain recommended specific work that needed to be done and then got right to it, sending me reports along the way. They got my login information for various sites they needed to work on (my website, Google analytics, Facebook, etc) and have been steadily improving our SEO and getting us results with digital marketing ever since.

I've worked with two different account managers, and both have been great. I've also had some brief contact with the president of the company.

Most importantly, we rank at the top of page 1 of Google on all the important key words in all of our locations!!! I couldn't ask for more as this is extremely critical for our business. Our Google AdWords campaign is also performing very well.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

For a while we were having bi-weekly meetings, and now we meet monthly as I have a very busy schedule. My account manager sends a monthly report and agenda ahead of time and then we meet to discuss everything, upcoming needs, goals, etc. They are also extremely quick to respond to email and anything I need between meetings. The communication and the process has worked very well.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think they're just the right size. Big enough to have resources and systems but small enough to still have involvement from the president and give a lot of care and attention to each client. Most importantly, this is the only SEO company that actually improved our rankings dramatically. They're very easy to work with and they don't require much from me, yet they are very transparent with everything they are doing and the results we are getting.

I have no suggestions for improvement at this time! I've been with The Media Captain for years and have recommended them to many other companies looking for help with their SEO. I have never been disappointed.

I supplied the team with login credentials for key websites and dashboards they would need to access, and they immediately got to work making improvements to both the frontend and backend of our website, building backlinks, creating review landing pages, improving our Google Ads, setting up retargeting ads on Google and Facebook, and adding us to directories. They presented the plan to me, broken down by month, and continue to update me on their progress and improvements to our rankings every two weeks during a conference call.

We have only been working with this company for a few months and already our rankings are up in several locations/keywords! It's amazing. We have received more request info forms this last month than we usually would in January and ultimately are enrolling more students. Our Google Ads cost per click is also significantly reduced.

The Media Captain is so easy to contact and extremely responsive. We mostly communicate via email but also meet several times per month via phone conference. They keep me updated without me having to ask, but if I do have a question, it is addressed thoroughly and quickly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I have worked with two other SEO companies. One was more of a freelancer and one was a much larger company. Both had problems and even though I was promised results (which was fishy in the first place - SEO improvements can rarely be PROMISED), I never got them. I did, however, waste a lot of money. The Media Captain, on the other hand, is a perfectly-sized company with direct contact and strategizing with the owner but also a lot of support from the rest of the team. They're large enough to have resources but small enough to actually care. They're extremely organized and knowledgeable and I have been impressed with the comprehensive strategy they developed and presented to me. Most importantly, though, they're the only SEO company which has actually improved my rankings! And FAST! As a business owner of nearly 10 years, I have worked with a lot of companies. The Media Captain is one of the best companies I have ever worked with.
