STAY AWAY.  Bait and switch.  Company promised the world and then couldn’t deliver.  When their own SEO team agreed that continued effort wouldn’t make a dent (or come close to what was promised by their sales team), On The Map not only refused to refund thousands of dollars for work they admitted they did not perform but they CONTINUED TO CHARGE even though they were no longer providing services. When I finally got Visa to put a stop payment on one of my cards, On The Map switched to bill a card I had previously had them replace / get rid of. In other words, in an effort to continue to get paid for work they not only could not provide but weren’t even attempting to provide, they committed clear criminal credit card fraud. Stay away stay away stay away. Shame on them.

We selected on the map after a couple meetings with different local agencies. We knew we wanted someone local and they were just very knowledgeable and personable. When a sample link gap analysis was provided we knew we were going to hire them.

10 days after our initial consultation we had our next call to go over their full link gap analysis they had performed for all of the target pages given.

Our work together began around November 2019, and it’s an ongoing relationship. I have them working on other projects right now.

It’s just phenomenal. They provide really great service. The chain of command is very organized and structured. We communicate via email, phone, and text message. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

There are a lot of things, but if I were to pick one thing that stands out the most, it would be their customer service. When I send them a request, it doesn’t matter what time of the day it is — I get a response back almost immediately. They’re willing to go above and beyond to do things, and you can’t find that in any other company. They have my loyalty.

They provide excellent customer service, and they’re trustworthy. You don’t have to worry about whether the job will be done for the amount of money you pay; they’re going to do the job and do it right.

I’m the owner and principal attorney at Rubin Law Corporation. We represent employees in employment law litigation.

What challenge were you trying to address with On The Map, Inc.?

We hired On The Map to design and optimize our website. I had a website that was a conglomeration of some good text and material, but the structure was really poor. At different times, I’d hired various people to build it out. It became a mess, so I brought On The Map in to fix the site.

What was the scope of their involvement?

I had several pages of good material, so I didn’t want to lose all of that. On The Map redeveloped the whole site from an engineering standpoint. They retained my existing material but optimized it so that it would work.

I just started a new campaign with Valeria (SEO Account Manager & Ranking Improvements) to develop some backlinks to the site to optimize the term ‘wrongful termination.’

My point of contact is Valeria, who is absolutely terrific. While we were doing the website, I spoke directly with some other team members. Valeria has obviously got a lot of very talented people behind her doing the engineering and optimization on the website. I’m pretty convinced that they have a lot of depth and talent.

The work is absolutely exceptional. They did a great job fixing my website, which now looks really good on mobile phones. They positioned our phone number very well, so it really accommodates phone calls. It’s just very user-friendly, and it has a modern, clean seal. The site has the right emblems on it, which creates a sense of trust. They know what they’re doing.

How did On The Map, Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Most of my communication is through Valeria, and she is just on it. She obviously enjoys her work and is very knowledgeable. She communicates a lot of substantive information to me about the kinds of metrics we should be looking at, so I’m happy working with her.

They’re able to take my very general ideas and realize them into the website. That translates into an impressive site, which people look at a lot. I’ve gotten a lot of conversions. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really. Their work is pretty cost-effective. I’ve worked with other shops, and this is the kind of business that can be less than transparent and all kinds of things. On The Map is, by contrast, very professional. You get a strong sense of confidence and trust in what they’re doing after you work with them.

They seem like a very reputable outfit with a lot of depth, professionalism, and passion about what they’re doing, so it’s a good find.

The initial service request was SEO and building a website. The site needed a lot of work to make it more professional and attractive. From there, it evolved. We were introduced to Val (SEO Account Manager & Ranking Improvements). She is dynamite and really helped take our business to the next level.

She educated me and built our brand.  We redesigned the website, added a blog, created a lot more content with direct links. We converted a few things, but they did almost everything else, such as graphic design.

We started this conversation about how we had just bought the business, and got his business card. We started working with them in 2018 and we still have a partnership with them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our rankings for key phrases are in the number one or two spot. There has been a lot more competition over the last 12 months, but we’ve been able to maintain our rankings consistently Our traffic flow has been consistent, so year over year, revenue has gone up, and I’ve been very pleased.

The content we added has helped with name recognition and appeal to the outlying areas of Raleigh. Fewer people leave our site right away because of the new design and content. People find it more attractive and stay on the page longer.

Val is proactive, if something seems interesting, she sends it over. If I call or email her with a question, she is very prompt. Any questions I have, she answers. If she needs to follow-up with her boss for me, she does it on the spot. Her professionalism and customer care are exceptional. I wasn’t just a number, and I wasn’t just another client. She’s the reason I’m still with On The Map, Inc.

The new site gave new value to our sales team, because of the newly built presentations with case studies, and the link to the "GET A FREE QUOTE" creates more than 20 new sales leads.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Communication channels were established throughout Jira, Slack, and Zoom. All project milestones were communicated very professionally and without any delays. We are an offshore company and English, is not our native language, but this particular condition wasn't a barrier to communicate and reach a great result.

We received professional recommendations on how to build the app to be trendy and without any extra charge. Their strong teamwork and will to deliver a qualitative project from the beginning was key.

On The Map Marketing is the biggest fraudulent marketing agency in South Florida. Stay far away from them! First, (Sarah), the Head of Sales, will sell you a dream and tell you everything you want to hear just to get you to sign a contract. That's where things start to go downhill. Secondly (Chris), the Owner, is completely dishonest. He will agree with you over the phone that work is not being delivered as promised and that they will shorten the contract or give you months of work for free, which they call the "SOS PROGRAM."

The Straw that broke the camel's back was when my company built its website. NO WORK was being done for 3 months, but On The Map Media still charged our account $3,300 a month for SEO! We contacted the Manager (Kara), who advised us that they didn't know why our account was being charged for 3 months when no (LINKS OR CONTENT) could be produced. We were also losing ranking month after month. Our team finally brought this to Kara's attention and gave us 2 months of free work "SOS PROGRAM". All we wanted back was our last month's payment after being locked in a 12-month contract and not being happy after month #2. PLEASE STAY FAR AWAY! THEY WILL LOCK YOU INTO A CONTRACT AND NOT DELIVER ANYTHING THAT WAS PROMISED! WE SPENT $40k for 1 year of SEO with on the map media and maybe received 5 customers!
