What was the scope of their involvement?

Manifest Multimedia designed and developed our website from scratch using WordPress; the platform allows people to see what we’re doing as an organization. Currently, they provide hosting and maintenance for the site.

We started working together in August 2016, and the engagement is ongoing.

I’m a consultant for Marthas Beauty Supply & Braiding, a cosmetics company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Manifest Multimedia?

We wanted to build a new website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Manifest Multimedia developed our website from scratch. They introduced a feature that allows users to chat with us in real time, book braiding appointments, purchase and check out items, receive receipts, and request refunds. Their team also built it in such a way that, on the administrative end, we could upload product images and descriptions for our customers to view. 

Apart from developing our website, Manifest Multimedia also set up our Instagram and Facebook pages. We gave them our concept for an upcoming promotion and they created the content for it. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with a web developer and a logo designer. I also interacted with the head of the company and a person who was on the testing side of things.

How did you come to work with Manifest Multimedia?

They were referred by a friend who had worked for them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–July 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The live chat feature that Manifest Multimedia developed on our website was good for a lot of customers. It gave us the ability to answer their queries more quickly.

How did Manifest Multimedia perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was quite good, but they needed to be accounted for all the time. I’m a business consultant, so it was easier for me to manage the entire project while they took over the technical tasks.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Manifest Multimedia listens to their clients’ needs. They’re prompt and responsive, and they deliver quality work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could’ve been a little more organized. I don’t know how they are now because I haven’t done a project with them recently.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Manage the project closely, particularly the timelines, to make sure that they don’t take their time. They’re a very relaxed team, and without anyone keeping control of the schedules and deadlines, the whole project could drag on. They’ll be sure to deliver promptly, though, as long as you stay involved.

I’m the brand and communications manager at Cocoa360, a nonprofit organization. Our primary focus is pioneering sustainable development in the cacao-growing communities. We’re based in the US, but we have our center of excellence in Accra, Ghana.

What challenge were you trying to address with Manifest Multimedia?

We needed web design and development services. We’d built a website a few years ago. Last year, we wanted to go on phase two and focus on its look and feel. As a nonprofit organization, our main goal is to communicate the impact of our work and highlight those who support us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Manifest Multimedia developed a new website for us. We provided all the details, content, images, and everything they needed for the project. 

We initially spent a lot of time with them to come up with the template. We gave them a couple of samples and had a timetable with meetings every Friday to review the pages that had been completed. Then, we reviewed everything on our side and got back to them. 

We actually had two projects with them. The first one was just for a landing page, and the second was for the complete website development. We initially asked for the website to be created from scratch, but we used WordPress instead because it took less time.

Our main requests for website features were a donation system and robust security. We had all the content ready word for word, even the design type. We created folders for each of the pages and uploaded the respective images or videos, so it was easier for Manifest Multimedia’s team to refer to the image or content.

They currently provide maintenance for the website, but we manage it ourselves. 

What is the team composition?

We worked with about five people, including a project manager.

How did you come to work with Manifest Multimedia?

We got recommendations from friends, searched online, and got a few offers from people. Manifest Multimedia came to us from our CFO, who got the recommendation from an online platform.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $2,000 on their services.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked on the landing page from March–May 2021. The second project started in April 2021 and ended in December 2021. They still provide maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They haven’t handed over complete control over the website yet, so we still have no metrics. However, when we went live, our supporters and followers gave instant feedback on how beautiful the website looked and how easy it loaded on all devices.

Most importantly, people can now easily support our work through the donation button on the website. We used to have a lot of challenges before — people would call to complain and ask how they could support us because we were running many campaigns on our platforms. Overall, we’ve had amazing feedback from our followers, and we’re 100% satisfied with their work. They’ve met our expectations.

How did Manifest Multimedia perform from a project management standpoint?

When it comes to budget, it’s one of the best we’ve had. They gave us an excellent deal, and we appreciated the quality of their work. Also, they were very welcoming with our corrections. We had a WhatsApp group, and they worked even at midnight and on weekends. We could call them anytime, and they were always available.

At one point, it became a bit frustrating because we wanted to change or add things, and they were very patient. During development, we had regular meetings and always came to a consensus about issues.

We communicated over emails, phone calls, video calls, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re a young and energetic team with a bright future. Their attitude towards work is very positive. Manifest Multimedia is a company to look out for in the years to come.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s always room for improvement. We’d like to increase the face-to-face meetings. We couldn’t do much of that due to the pandemic, but they help to understand each other better.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

We have a strong communication team, so we knew exactly what we wanted. However, most people don’t know what they want. If you’re going to engage with any developer, try to brainstorm and put your thoughts together before you start working with the developers. Nonetheless, Manifest Multimedia has a good team that will help shape your thoughts and align what you have in mind.

I am the Director of Dunamis Bible Institute. We provide training and mentoring to pastors and other Church leaders at a low cost.

As a new college in a developing city aiming to reach men and women called by God, we needed to announce our presence online. So we hired Manifest Multimedia to develop a user-friendly website for us. We increased our visibility and student population from 3 to 10 within the first year.

After searching online for website developers, Manifest Multimedia offered the cheapest cost for startups like us.

Manifest Multimedia provided us with a web designer questionnaire. From there, discussed possible suggestions that could be of help to us. After consensus on what works best, they have successful created and hosted our website since.

Before the project began, we were assigned a personal relation officer gives us progress on our website development. He has since been responsible for any updates on our website. The CEO himself, Johnson Sabire has always been in touch with us to ensure we are receiving the best of service.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After the launch of our website, we have had student applications from all over the world. It has made it easier for students to apply online and also for us to go paperless in having to print application forms and other students' processing. We have also doubled student population.

They were always up to speed to resolve any problem we encountered on our website. They communicated to us via email, WhatsApp and phone calls. They keep to the timelines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Note only did they deliver a good website, bit they are always communicating with us. I love their human relations.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were some minor bugs on junk mail. Bit they were quick to fix it.
