maeBe supported us as a monthly technical partner for about a year and a half. They built our corporate landing page, stood up our direct-booking website, integrated the Airbnb API for our listing and reservation operations, and set up our internal development environment (VS Code / Claude Code) so our team could keep building on top of it. The engagement covered development work, technical advice, and hands-on support.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The landing page and direct-booking site both shipped and are live in production, and the booking site now runs our direct-reservation channel alongside Airbnb. The Airbnb API integration automated listing and reservation data flows we previously handled manually. The development environment maeBe set up is used daily by our team and became the foundation for our in-house automation work.

Masaaki was responsive and flexible. Items were delivered on schedule, and he handled the time difference between New York and Japan smoothly, so requests sent at the end of our day were often done by our next morning. He explains technical topics clearly, and working in both Japanese and English made communication easy for our bilingual team.

Technical versatility for a small firm: the same partner handled web development, API integration, and developer-environment setup, and kept up with new tools, including AI-assisted development, faster than most larger vendors we have worked with. He also bridges Japanese and US business contexts smoothly, which is rare and mattered for us as a bilingual operation.

Are there any areas for improvement or something maeBe co., Ltd could have done differently?

Nothing significant. As a small firm there is a natural limit to parallel capacity, so for larger workloads it helps to plan the queue in advance -- but within our engagement everything we asked for was handled well.

In order to increase the number of units under management and further improve our services, we wanted to reduce the time and effort required for management and other tasks, increase sales and establish service methods in line with the times. To achieve this, we decided to offer a tenant application to those who have a rental flat contract.

We were referred to you by one of our employees and had several meetings with you. In the course of the quotation, you mentioned detailed features and specifications, which were easy to understand, and the quoted price was satisfactory.

Face-to-face and web-based meetings were held to determine the specifications. We then had a test application created and actually operated. We informed them of any problems or additional requests and they created it.

We have reduced the number of telephone enquiries by about 3,000 per year. It became more convenient to send photos and other information in the chat.

I’m the manager of the Bus service company. We have 16 autobus, small to big size.

Tour bus services in Japan have been on news whenever there were car accidents due to drivers’ overwork. So that every bus company must to manage drivers work schedule sufficiently. Though our company had been using “papers” to control all the bus and drivers schedule. Our drivers were always calling into office to check their next day work. No one could see the availabilities and schedules unless you were in office. And it was not easy to calculate drivers sufficient working time.

Our goal was to manage drivers working time and to see and share schedule info online to inner drivers including our bus availability to customers.

We knew maeBe from another project. Also we interviewed several companies to ask whether they could develop “touch and moving icon” system. No one said yes, but maeBe.

First step, they interviewed our problems deeply. One of their programmer was so good at reproducing the images. They sent us closed website address to check up or sometimes Print screen. We always connected online to send comments and feedbacks easily.

4 people in the main. Manager and sales person reviewing our problems, 2 main developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since this system is delivered, our drivers working time and bus schedule were controlled sufficiently. Phone and fax costs went 50% down, and phone calls are about 60% reduced. Our bus availabilities are open to important clients, so they can make reservation online for 24hrs. Also under this covid-19 catastrophe, we could easily change working style to remote work.

When we ask for correction, they try to modify in a day or two, very quickly.
We used “chatwork” to share the images and website address.

maeBe co., Ltd's team had excellent technical skills. They were reliable.
Always gave us suggestions and solutions to problems we had. We had several works to make it online, and we worked one by one. After 3 years, they were combined together as one great system. A unique point is that their employee live in other Asia countries and using the time difference efficiently.

None, they’ve done great and maeBe is still our great partner.
