Torii is a complex SaaS management platform allowing companies to have a unified and sophisticated view of all their SaaS products in order to simplify their management, payments and create necessary synergies across the whole company. 

Torii's old marketing website was built around HubSpot utilizing HubSpot's CMS forms and hosting; although this technical stack offered seamless and easy-to-use integration to HubSpot products, this combination had its challenges for the Torii team. From daily tasks such as new landing page creation, through adding new integrations all the way to visitors' user experience and performance, there were certainly areas of inefficiencies Torii team wanted to address. 

In that sense, the old website as well as several other microsites have been audited in terms of information architecture, user experience and SEO impact and eventually migrated onto a new WordPress solution hosted at WP Engine. This resulted in Torii team's increased efficiency through the improved ability to adjust the website's content and design without an external aid and ultimately provided Torii with a high-performing and scalable digital marketing channel.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our website was successfully migrated from HubSpot to Wordpress.

The management of this project was excellent. Everything was delivered on time or ahead of schedule. We had weekly calls and daily communication via Slack. They answered all of our questions quickly and thoroughly. I was very impressed by how smoothly this project ran and how well it was managed.

LucidCircus kept us up-to-date on their progress throughout the entire project. I was very impressed that even when we had a few changes during the project, they never slowed down or missed a beat. No, they were very thorough and easy to work with.

Lucid Circus--their team--displayed admirable and courteous patience with our much extended timeline. They never rushed us to completion when our lengthy timing exceeded normal expectations. When actions were required, the team delivered immediately.

Led overall by Ezra, with day-to-day development work led by Lenka, Lucid Circus was a model of professional business behavior: a combination of skillful web design, careful listening to client needs--always responding with ideas better than requested, patience, and good humor. 

Despite working only remotely, and the fact that our project was small in the scheme of things, we always felt that our interests were top of mind, and that our work was a priority.The LC team never made us feel neglected--even when we would delay decisions sometimes for months. The LucidCircus team was a joy to work with. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something LucidCircus could have done differently?

We would hire them a second time should the opportunity arise.

For what projects/services did your company hire LucidCircus?

We partnered with LucidCircus to provide their experience and efficacy to serve a stunningly beautiful, custom lead-generating landing page for an international client making their debut in the US market.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Ezra, Tom, and Vlad have been a wealth of knowledge in all respects of marketing at the enterprise level. This was no different. It was on the obvious choice given their pedigree, humble nature, and previous discourse -- we only needed the opportunity to make it official.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

The team at LucidCircus provided their strategy and thoughts in the initial approach from estimates, timelines, and milestones. Soon after, they were on the client discovery call, asking important questions about client goals, target audiences, look/feel desired, and much more for the purpose of building a stellar end result. This included: setting up design working files and project management, gathering feedback on wireframes and near-final designs, then performing the handoffs where needed to make the push to production as seamless as possible. Their acumen and resourcefulness know no bounds. There were times LucidCircus had to make a judgment call and always steered us the right way.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The end result was a beautiful landing page that received wonderful sentiment from our client partner and the public when we made the push to promote the client in their US market debut at CES -- the world's third largest event. We've seen hundreds of leads drummed up since the landing page went live, and we anticipate more to come.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with Tom as the project lead for LucidCircus was a very fluid workflow. We pulled off a miracle and have quite the story to tell. But he made it that much more tolerable -- and dare I say, fun -- during the craze that is a short run-up for a large client GTM activation.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The humble nature and ability to predict what was needed even before we could provide next steps. At every turn, LucidCircus was ready with not only solutions but a recommended path forward to keep us on target to meet our deadlines for the client.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I don't have anything that comes to mind. No agency is perfect, but LucidCircus comes pretty close!

I’m the CMO of TruEra, an AI software company. We provide explainability and AI quality management solutions.

What challenge were you trying to address with lucidcircus?

We were a very early stage software company and needed to upgrade our branding and web presence. We were doing the branding redesign in-house, but we needed help revamping our website’s design, content, and functionality. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

lucidcircus improved our existing WordPress website. They revised its pages, reconstructed its navigation, and added more functionality. Additionally, they made our resources page filterable and searchable.

First, lucidcircus built interactive design elements for our homepage, including a carousel of key images and videos. The team then integrated the page with our marketing automation system, which enabled our customers to request demos and sign up for critical assets like white papers.  

Although we were responsible for branding and graphic design, lucidcircus worked closely with our team to integrate it into our site. They also revamped various sections of our site to make it look and feel consistent with our other websites. 

After they finished the main deliverable, lucidcircus continued to help us with incremental updates. They managed our site and provided monthly maintenance.

Our main point of contact was our account manager, but we also worked with a development lead and 4–5 other resources.

I worked with lucidcircus on a similar project at my previous job.

Our engagement lasted from March–June 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since lucidcircus’ revamped our site, our traffic increased dramatically. Furthermore, we received a lot of positive feedback on the site’s professional look, ease of use, and improved content. 

The team also made sure that our customers would have a seamless experience exploring our sites. When people saw our corporate and research sites, they felt like they were on related sites. Overall, the project was a big success.

How did lucidcircus perform from a project management standpoint?

The team was very well-organized, and we were satisfied with the turnaround time. Despite the time zone difference, lucidcircus also did a great job of communicating with us. 

They gave us frequent updates over Slack and kept track of the project using Asana, where we also exchanged files. Additionally, we used email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team worked quickly and deliberately, allowing them to deliver on time despite running into some issues. Furthermore, they excelled in communication and maintained transparency at each stage of the project. Overall, lucidcircus did an outstanding job. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

We ran into some communication issues at some point, but lucidcircus resolved them reasonably quickly.
