We had several offers but we chose Looming Tech because we relied on their experience and the balance between timing/fee/quality

Looming Tech has helped us to finish off our website with the best possible consultancy and also best possible technology. The project was to build the website for Yourspace - http://www.yourspace.bg . The project was complex from a technical point of view because we need to make sure we have good UX for end users but also serve for our business partners (locations). The project was divided into 3 steps - design, specification gathering and development. The technologies used were Wordpress, Woocommerce, different Wordpress plugins, HTML and PHP. As well as integration of a payment provider.

We worked with 2 people from Looming tech - 1 senior developer and 1 senior PM.

Perfect service, timing, communication.

The amount of work they managed to do for our website in such short time was incredible! They fixed all structural and design disorders and wrong formating, which were a lot. They offered us a solutions for booking, helped us with cookies policies, etc etc, traineded our team so we could work easily with admin functionalities, wordpress in general and Elementor.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were very fast, friendly and patient with us. Everything that we have requested was done exactly as we would like it to be - no delays, no miscommunication.

We searched a lot and we had to choose from 5 vendors. What we liked about Looming is that they were very flexible and were willing to help us even improve our initial idea.

They created a virtual experience for teams where users can communicate, demonstrate leadership capabilities and having fun in the meantime. Users compete in teams against each other and communicate constantly trough web cams integrated in the app. Their developers used redux, react, typescript etc.

We worked 5 people including project manager, developers and a designer

They supported us in the first couple of months after going live, as we signed very fast a huge bank for our first client.

The project management was very good. They were flexible with changing the direction of our project when necessary.

They offered high-level Unity development at an affordable price and their team often suggested alternative solutions to technical challenges

We are working right now again with them for another project and we are completely satisfied.

We hired them to create a software system that helps our recruiters find the right candidates on LinkedIn quicker, then create resumes and track their application with our customers. It also includes a dashboard to monitor all of that.

They have created a:

1. Chrome plugin (written in JavaScript afaik) to match the candidates on LinkedIn.
2. Database and backend to store them
3. Web based UI for a dashboard
4. Integration with Trello and Email systems

Automatic CV parse and recognition of key elements like names, tech stack, experience, etc. Not the best person to describe technologies but as far as I know they used:

• JavaScript
• React
• Amazon Web Services
• NodeJS
• SQL and probably more.

Also they built the machine learning engine to recognise info from the CVs

We were able to reduce the time our source-er spend looking for candidates and double the amount of CVs in the pipeline.

they used Agile as methodology and were constantly demoing the progress and got feedback from us to tune the direction of the project.

Communication and quality of the work were excellent. They have managed the project brilliantly and were able to deliver against our goals!

The team delivered the requirements before the Sprint deadline end most of the time with some small delays which were communicated and managed. Quality of the delivery was always high

They use 2-week long Scrum with daily standups, planning in story points, and demo at the end of the scrum. They used tools like: Jira, Slack, Bitbucket, GitHub

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The way the team was interacting and communicating was above my expectations. All team members are engaging, friendly and share openly when they have issues. The quality of the product was above expectations and the price for all that was below average market rates.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Team stability should be improved, they should keep the team members constant more often than they do.

We used industry insight to identify an opportunity for a new capability solution for our clients. We are using Looming Tech for the development and implementation of the entire end-to-end platform build process.

I had previously worked with a couple of their key people on a standalone project. I found them very easy to work with, helpful and liked their processes; they are a good fit for my business.

We started off with an ideation session and then built an MVP which was tested with some partner brands. We then adopted a 'bit by bit' approach to building the platform, starting off with the key architecture and then adding on the first modules. We then tested the modules and successfully launched with our client partners in October 2021.

The platform is universally positively received by every client we show it to. We will have more specific outcomes (eg number of users and impact in the business) by the end of the year.

Very agile, fun and professional. Timeliness is positive when agreed in advance.

I like their people who have a good sense of humor, which makes working with them fun.. I also like the processes they apply and the real focus on the end-user.

It would be good to have more proactive time management rather than feel I always have to set the deadlines.

Looming Tech is not just an IT company but a community, they share the same values which makes them passionate about their work. Being involved in a project together with Looming Tech's team is an exciting experience.

I am the product manager of a company that helps merchants disitribute promotions on various of platforms in order to get most visibility and converstion.

As an extension of the products that Monizze offers to their beneficiaries, the company wanted to create a deals platform, called Monizze Dealzz, that will allow its beneficiaries to spend their vouchers in order to buy gift cards or use coupon codes for merchants that either do not accept Monizze payment or are not widely known to accept Monizze payment. The vouchers, given to the beneficiaries from their employers, have expiration date and often beneficiaries didn't know how or where they can spend them, so Monizze wanted to help them in that way.

Therefore Monizze asked us at Izify, to design and build such platform and we needed an expert developer for this e-commerce project. We discussed it with Looming among 2 other companies and picked them due to their experience.

SOLUTION

How did you select Looming Tech and what were the deciding factors?

Deciding factors were knowledge, professionalism and as always cost. In communication with other companies, we found that we can receive all from Looming, so the choice was not hard at the end.

The e-commerce platform is using HTML, but also had to be adapted to the local Monizze systems and plugins like Laravel, Bulma, etc. The initial phase required for the Looming developers to get accustomed to the existing systems and apply the logic to the new web page, which is simply an extension of the existing website of Monizze. It required working with a designer from Monizze to make sure the icons, colors and everything is matching the rest of the company's visuals. From then on, it was pure development based on the pre-defined blueprint from Monizze.

We had 2 developers working on the project - one concentrated on the backend and one on the frontend. Working with them was smooth and the local Monizze team was impressed by the work completed.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The deliverables were completed and the product launched in time and as originally foreseen. We faced unexpected challenges constantly but the developers were agile and flexible enough to overcome them in timely fashion. After launch, we quickly saw from clients that more is needed, beyond the original scope, so the developers were tasked to provide an update on the platform within one month of the completion of the first phase. That was done again in a great way and according to plan.

As most IT projects, JIRA was used for tracking and testing purposes. The developer created a staging environment, which to this date is tested for new developements and features. Communication was done via slack for the most part and meetings via teams.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their quality of work, knowledge, and willingness to propose new ideas when they see gaps were impressive. As well as their flexibility and adaptiveness to changes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

After the initial phase of the project we did a recap session understanding where did things go right and where wrong, after which all parties accepted their gaps and Looming planned accordingly to fix the tasks they were responsible for.
