I work for a software development company specializing in diabetes software. We help manufacturers and companies integrate with diabetes medical devices by providing consulting services, project management, project completion, and staff augmentation.

The business challenge was trying to find qualified people for an internal team we've been building.

We have a team of developers working on our internal project, and Lagomic helps us recruit developers for it.

I work with Roman (CEO) and Daniela (Assistant of the CEO), who helps us with recruitment. I occasionally work with someone from their accounting and billing department.

They were referred to me by a colleague.

We’ve spent around $200,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in November 2020, and it’s still an ongoing project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve been pretty satisfied with the results. All the candidates they’ve presented to us have been good — they give us pretty qualified candidates from the get-go, and we don’t really have to do much screening on our end.

How did Logamic perform from a project management standpoint?

They work for us remotely, and their only function is sourcing people, so I manage the project. In terms of communication, they’re very effective and prompt. Working with them is a good experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m impressed by how quickly they find candidates and develop stories. Their cadence, professionalism, and qualifications as far as technologies they have experience with are amazing. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their service would improve if they offered contract-to-hire services. It's a pretty straightforward job, so I can’t say there are any major stumbling blocks.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you know what kind of people you’re looking for and what qualifications you require. It’s advisable to understand what a good person looks like and not just rely on the vendor.

I’m the CEO of Overlap GmbH & Co KG, a software development startup. We provide solutions starting with smaller websites to our clients but we also provide a bigger shop system with management systems behind where we digitalize the processes internally.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logamic?

We had a client who wanted an e-commerce website with a connected management system for the internal processes but didn't have the resources to build it in-house.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Logamic provided development resources for us. They provided us with a developer who mainly responsible for developing the whole e-commerce backend system. They did the whole code needed for running the business logic behind our system, working in JavaScript and Node.js.

What is the team composition?

There was one Node.js backend developer.

How did you come to work with Logamic?

They were a recommendation from a friend. We met each other in Vienna and talked a little bit about the portfolio and how we can support each other. Then we found out they had a resource that was meaningful and helpful for us.

How much have you invested with them?

We invested about €30,000 EUD (approximately $35,000 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from October 2019–September 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measured the quality of the work via our internal developers. Anyone who’s working in the development team hands over the code to our software architect who reviews the code. They did a great job.

How did Logamic perform from a project management standpoint?

Our teams used Jira to organize the project, which was a scrum process. We also used Google Hangouts and Slack to collaborate. Communication was great. We never had a problem that someone wasn't informed or organized.

Their resource even came onsite. It was really a cool approach.  Since he was onsite, we had meetings every day.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I had a contact person there that answered my questions in regards to invoices and timesheets. That was really helpful. I reached the CEO nearly every time. It was a cool service.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve.

Try them out. I definitely recommend them. We had a smooth collaboration with Logamic.

I’m the senior product director at my current company which is developing a product for sales representatives in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) segment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Logamic?

We have frequent peak times at my current company. We go to Logamic for additional resources.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Logamic has worked with us on large projects that we needed to deliver quickly. We’ve also kept resources on a long-term basis, such as the Android developer they’re providing.

We develop iOS and Android solutions for sales reps in the FMCG segment. The Android app has around 300 screens, so it’s beyond any common app that can be downloaded from the stores. Sales representatives create orders through it, so it needs to be one-hundred-percent reliable and crash-free. It handles customer data and monetary transactions, which go to our SAP backend.

What is the team composition?

I know Roman (CEO) from our previous collaborations. We’re also using 1–2 developers from Logamic.

How did you come to work with Logamic?

When I talked to Roman for the first time, he seemed reliable and trustworthy. I called him and a few others when we needed help, and he was able to deliver the people I needed. He was able to provide me two developers within 1–2 weeks, which was a great achievement at the time.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend around $150,000 per year with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

They’ve been working with my current company for longer than I have. I came here about half a year ago when I sold my company. Our company started working with Logamic in January 2018. Our work is ongoing with endless development and thousands of new modules to deliver.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We keep metrics on the performance of each team member. Logamic’s Android developer is the top performer of our 5–6-person team. The Android app represents 80% of installations across all our clients, and they wouldn’t be using it if they weren’t happy with it.

All deadlines are being met, and we have constructive meetings. They delivering what’s promised.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re really fast and can achieve what others can’t. I really appreciate their open communication.

They could improve their marketing. Logamic delivers great service and I can’t find any problems. They’re reliable and maintain open communication.

I’m a recruitment consultant for an IT recruiting company. I’m responsible for acquiring projects and finding consultants.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Logamic has worked on three projects for us, all of which have been open source. They provide software and app development both on-site and remotely. Their team has worked in Java, PHP, and UJS. They also developed an Android app using Kotlin.

What is the team composition?

We usually work with about 4–5 people, but that changes depending on the project. Other team members include people working on invoicing, documenting, and IT.

How did you come to work with Logamic?

I found them through LinkedIn. They’re located in Slovakia, which is what I was looking for. After initial conversations, I really liked the CEO’s open and clear communication. His focus on long-term relationships and readiness to invest was refreshing.

We’ve invested between $250,000–$500,000.

We began working with them in July 2018, and our partnership is ongoing.

Our clients have shown complete satisfaction with Logamic’s IT expertise. In fact, one of our clients created extra room in their annual budget to further work with Logamic. Their team is qualified and reliable.

As I stated, they have open and clear communication. We have weekly updates, which occur more often if needed. They’re willing to go the extra mile and work outside regular business hours.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They deliver what they promise. If something is unattainable, they communicate that so scope changes can be made. The Logamic team is reliable and seems to enjoy their work. Unlike other companies I’ve worked with, they’re committed to our company, as well as their own.

They’re experiencing some growing pains in order to create structures that were unnecessary before.

I don’t know how we found them; our management was in charge of that.

The recruiting process didn’t cost us anything. I suppose Logamic charges an extra fee for the candidate who works with us, but I don’t know the details.
