The project was well defined with assets ready on zepline/figma. We opened a staging server for the dev team but eventually gave them access to the production server so they can help us in case of urgent need (which of course happened)

The frontend implementation was excellent to the point our external Ux consultant began working with them too.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The owner takes responsibility and is very responsive. I didn't need to reach to him very often but when I had issues with their QA which I thought was not up to par he swiftly responded and took to fix what was required w/o cost.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

When we first began we didn't use basecamp nor defined the QA process. I now break things down to sprints and request time estimate which minimize surprised for both sides

I’m the founder and CEO of GreatAlbum; we're a web-based startup that provides the organization of personal digital content from Google Photos, Facebook, Photos, and Dropbox, and helps people create biographies in real-time.

What challenge were you trying to address with LN Webworks Private Limited?

We initially needed to develop wireframes and information architecture for the entire website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave LN Webworks basic designs and mock-ups from PowerPoint, and we went back and forth based on those inputs to create the wireframes. We hired them again to do the actual website design. They used Figma and developed a comprehensive design for the web pages and click flows from one page to the next. They also provided frontend development work to help implement the designs into the Drupal-based website. 

The website imports metadata about the photos and the media comes into the program and creates an event. Every time a new event is created, individuals are tagged, and all the members associated with the event are notified of the new event. Individuals can share events over the course of years, and the software helps to build biographies and stories in real-time. 

The software imports the media, looks at the groupings of photos by date and time, creates the events, and tags all of the media automatically to fix up the event and get the correct details to develop the biography.

We worked with 4–5 people, including the founder and one other person who worked on the wireframes. We also had people who worked on the Figma designs, and 2–3 individuals who were tasked with the frontend development work.

We posted the job requirements on Upwork, and they were one of the companies that applied. We ultimately decided to move forward with them.

We invested between $15,000–$20,000.

We worked together between April 2020–May 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They helped us build the application and provided critical skills to help us get through our early milestones and build the application. The site functions the way that we wanted it to. 

How did LN Webworks Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

The project went a little over budget, but that was more on our end because we struggled with some of our development approaches; LN Webworks invested in the project to help with budget issues. We communicated via Slack and used Jira for project management; we used WhatsApp early on, but we moved away from that. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We worked closely with Pankaj (Managing Director) and Shikha (CEO), and they brought complementary skills to the table. LN Webworks brought expertise that meshed well together on the frontend and design and development work. LN Webworks was fairly responsive regarding meetings and getting back to us with any questions. We have a personal connection with them which made for a good working relationship, and they were very professional. We enjoyed working together and our partnership.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

We wished they would have pushed us harder to use better DevOps processes because it would have been better if we’d done that right off the bat. We were wrong in our approach, and we wish they would have insisted on taking a different one. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open and collaborative with them and let them know what you’re trying to achieve and what you need. The better communication and collaboration you have, the more successful they’ll be.

I am the IT Manager at SeCan. I am responsible for the website, CRM, and any other online systems and services related to our members.

We hired LN Webworks for the website maintenance purpose at first, but they were also able to revamp and redesign the site and do Drupal migrations on the website.

We selected the vendor through an online freelancing website and our most important deciding factor was the cost estimates they provided us to maintain and redevelop the website. The vendor was very good at giving us the best rates and we were really happy with the speed at which they understood the whole project.

The scope of work is to redesign and rebrand the website and which also includes integrating the website and CRM into Drupal CMS from the old custom framework. This is a complex project, and the vendor has handled it in a highly responsible way.

There were always about 1-3 people working from the vendor's team and their position was 2 developers and 1 graphic designer.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The outcomes are very good and on delivered on time, sometimes there are delays but usually, the results are acceptable and of good quality. We are very happy with the overall experience.

The project is mostly managed through an online platform like skype for communication purposes and the Trello board for managing the lists and tasks. This method is very helpful and efficient.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The most impressive about the company is they are very updated on the technology and are able to make decisions on what is the best technology for the required project.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Yes, they need some improvement on being more proactive and creative in suggesting to the clients to help them on the business side of the project. To improve the business while using the technology in a more creative way.

I’m the executive director at In Safe Hands International, an organization that focuses on child protection. We write courses and trainings around identifying child abuse within places like schools and childcare facilities. Our trainings have early intervention strategies.

In February 2020, I met with Johns Hopkins University’s education department. We identified that there was a need for a learning management system (LMS).

We already had an LMS that we had developed to the point that we used it in Australia, but it was a little asynchronous in its learning. We wanted a system that was more interactive.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired LN Webworks to maintain and upgrade our existing LMS. However, once we started working together, they showed me some other pieces of software that they knew of. From there, the engagement blossomed into creating an LMS from scratch. 

While they were brought on to do some development work on a rudimentary level, it evolved into a full-fledged partnership. They built the LMS on Drupal and used open-source software, which they have significantly developed on top of. 

We engage them for all of our web needs, like web development and maintenance. They maintain our AWS.

What is the team composition?

At first, we worked with one person, and then we brought on a second person. Now, we work with their whole team. I don’t know the exact number of team members, but they are doing roughly 100 hours a week or more for us. 

We have several developers working on our software and systems. We also have a contact at LN Webworks who deals with all of the relevant servers that we have.

I looked at various developers on Upwork and reviewed their resumes and work. I was most impressed by Shikha (Director), one of the owners of LN Webworks. I contacted her, and it went from there.

We have spent roughly $40,000–$50,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in February 2020, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have gotten to the point where the LMS that we developed is now a product that we offer, and we’re happy with it. Over the past two months, we’ve had nine companies — including the government in Queensland — sign up to the LMS. We’ve had successful signups, and our pilot program has run flawlessly.

How did LN Webworks Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They are absolutely brilliant in this regard. They introduced us to the project management software Basecamp. I can’t speak to their communication highly enough — their ability to offer explanations and maintain two-way, forthright communication has been great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The main aspect is the quality of their work, but another important one is the interaction that you can have with them. You are not just given a number; rather, they treat you like a partner. The interaction that we have with them is less of a client relationship, and more of a partnership. 

Although we pay them for their services, we feel that they are a part of our team, and we communicate with them as such. Price is one important factor, but we’ve been impressed by more than price — the communication and partnership we’ve forged with them stand out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, not really — the only thing would be the time zone difference, but we can’t improve that. Some of the communication early on was a little hard to deal with, but it has been seamless since we sorted out the issues that we had.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be upfront and honest. Give them as much information as you can in terms of what you are trying to achieve. When they have that, they can offer you much more with the expertise that they have in various areas, which is brilliant.

I’m the founder of Rider Connect. It’s a side project for me.

What challenge were you trying to address with LN Webworks Private Limited?

I needed someone to develop a website for me because I didn’t have any experience in that at all.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

I knew what I wanted the website to do but didn’t know how to get there. It’s a site that brings motorcyclists together so they can plan a route and join that route. Users can add stops along the way. They can add a route from A to B and depending on where people live, they can ask for a stop along the way and join the ride. Nothing like this had been created before so we weren’t able to scope similar businesses.

The solution is a WordPress site that was built from scratch. I relied on Shikha (Director) quite a lot, not just for the technical bits but also for the design as well. Shika helped implement how it looked on the page and where things needed to be. I relied on Webworks quite a lot during this process.

Mapping was one of the features I was looking to have. I wanted it to be international so that the solution would appeal not just to users in the UK, but also to other countries. The website integrates Google Maps. I needed to look into different paces because some motorcyclists want to ride leisurely and others more quickly.

The website has features according to the individual’s preference for riding. I needed the functionality to look at times and send automatic invites. If someone is registered on the site and lives within a 25-mile radius at the start, it will automatically send out an invitation to those people.

Now, we’ve changed it slightly so if users wanted to, they can keep it as a private ride. They also added a feature so I can add some advertisers on there with hyperlinks. If I need anything done on the site, I just contact them.

What is the team composition?

Shikha is the person I’ve worked with the most. I’m sure there are others behind the scenes.  

How did you come to work with LN Webworks Private Limited?

I posted the job on Upwork and selected Shikha because she had a good command of the English language. I thought with the technical difficulty involved with the site, I’d need a vendor with English fluency.

For me, my selection wasn’t all to do with price. I wanted someone I knew I’d get along with. We had some dialogue before I knew who to contract. I looked at the other work they’ve done and asked various questions. Shikha was by far the most responsive and replied quickly even though we live in different time zones.

How much have you invested in them?

I’ve invested between $5,000–$7,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started around January 2019, and we’re still working on the website now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We set timeframes on what needed to be done and when because there were some things that were more urgent than others, so there were things that took a backseat. We agreed on those and Shika always achieved them. If I needed something by a certain date, it was done by that date and there was never any question. She was brilliant.

There have been quite a few alterations made, but that’s down to me and my preferences. Shika is always happy to advise. She has a lot of experience because I’ve asked her something in the past and she asked if I was sure about it. When I thought about it more, I knew she was right. I rely on that experience. When we’ve made changes to the site and tweaked it along the way, she’s always hit those deadlines without question.

How did LN Webworks Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

They asked me what I needed to be done and outlined the timeframe. We worked out a plan of expectations so we were clear about the work. Of course, what we had reflected in the payments because I’ve had a few alterations along the way, but it’s more down to my preferences than anything else. They’ve always acted well in that regard.

I must admit, I probably haven’t always been the easiest client to deal with because I’ve changed my mind about things I wasn’t sure about. LN Webworks Private Limited is very responsive and reactive. It seems that nothing is too much trouble and if I change my mind, it’s okay. They’re very fair to me.

What did you find most impressive about them?

If I write Shikha, also bearing in mind the time zone, she has always responded really quickly. This is important to me. We have a site that’s live, and I can’t afford for things to be wrong when planning these routes.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. I haven’t had any problems with them at all. Everything has been smooth and overall it’s an easy and pleasant transaction.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be precise about what you need. Sometimes I think I was probably a little bit vague because I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted. Make a plan of what you want and how it’s going to look then discuss it with them. They’re more than happy to advise. Rather than working on that along the way, it’s far better if you have a full plan mapped out.

I wanted to have a fully functional website, and I also wanted to build a relationship with a developer who could continue to work on this site. To me, a build from scratch site will never be completed, as scope and needs change, so it was important to me to work with someone I not only trusted but genuinely enjoyed engaging with.

I had the frontend of the platform complete, but the backend was only partially developed. We needed someone to pick up the job where we had left off and finish it. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

LN Webworks built virtually the entire website minus the 75% of the frontend I provided. Our project was extensive. They developed the backend essentially from scratch because it was incomplete and it wasn't built correctly the first time.

LN Webworks also integrated some new APIs and built out five new pages to add to the frontend. They integrated PayPal and Stripe payment pathways and added calendars, a chat function, pictures, and user profiles.

As far as I know, they assigned us 2–3 developers along with a designer and project manager. I mainly interacted with two people.

I found LN Webworks on Upwork and selected them based on positive reviews I read about them. We spoke for a long time back and forth. They signed all the agreements first. After assessing the project, they told me exactly what needed to be done. 

LN Webworks blew me away. They were very involved and paid close attention to detail. The team blew me away. The way they handled my project felt like it was their own. I decided to hire them. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent $2,000 so far, and the total cost should be less than $10,000. Next year, we might have more work for them to do.

We've been working together since June 2018. Currently, we're testing the payment pathways to ensure that everything is working properly. They fix anything about the content I find that needs to be changed.

So far, LN Webworks has been amazing about delivery. I've been trying to get this website and app to work for three years and had consistent problems with every other developer. By comparison, I haven't had a single problem with LN Webworks. Anytime there's a problem, they fix it immediately. Often, they’ll even find better ways to correct or improve my designs. They've been excellent and I'm very happy with them.

We typically communicate through either Skype or Upwork. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

LN Webworks is very easy to communicate with, even though we're from different countries. They are available whenever we need them and never try to brush us off. If we ever have concerns, they address them no matter how silly they seem. I haven't had any problems with the team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I probably didn't spend as much as most people would have, but it felt a little slow. Conversely, it was very affordable.

I’m the vice president of operations for an IT company. We specialize in external network vulnerability scans. I am also the VP of operations for another company in a different industry.

They work with us in Drupal 6, Drupal 8, and Ubercart. They also provide basic development on our server and are assisting with a project in Pantheon. They’ve completed other basic upgrades and updates to improve our search features, streamlined our processes, and migrated our sites from one server to another. We give them all of our requirements upfront and reach out to them with new details when we want to make changes.

I interact with one developer who acts as the project manager. There are at least two other developers working on our sites.
