We hired Lloyds Design for the developing of our new web page, as well as for re-design our mobile apps Zadar Travel and Secret Zadar.

What were your goals for this project?

Complete refurbishing of our existing web page and mobile applications in accordance to the newest web technologies and content / design guidlnes.

How did you select this vendor?

They were recommended by other companies in the industry and were chosen to do the project among three other vendors. The selection involved a primary offer and a peach / presentation in our office along with other couple of companies, that we originally contacted.

They designed, developed, configured and launched a new web site. Once we approved the workflows and wireframes, the production itself lasted for three months. The functional versions were ready for user testing every two weeks.

What was the team composition?

The project involved several team members from their side, but always with single project manager that concluded communication with our side regarding the technical issues, that can easily get misunderstood in translation.

After several years of unsatisfactory solution, this new online system now profoundly helped to maintain our visibility and presence in the ever-competing tourism market online.

Project manager was very forthcoming and receptive and the whole team from their side followed and correctly formulated our inquiries and ideas.

Our old website was static, not optimized, had a complicated structure, and had outdated content. We wanted to hire a team to build a digital marketing concept and strategy for us.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When LLoyds Design came on board, they helped our team redevelop and redesign our website, bringing it up to date. The team also optimized it for mobile access.

They continue to maintain the website for us.

There were about four of five people engaged in the project in total. We had a  project manager, who was our direct point of contact.

We looked around to find a team to help us with the website transformation. Lloyds’ offer had the complete package; price, information and timeline provided, good references, and an impressive portfolio. They were also flexible in negotiations in terms of easy addition or removal of services as needed.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the project in October 2019. While the site rebuild wrapped up in April 2020, the engagement is ongoing as Lloyds continues to provide us with web maintenance services.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our website went live two weeks ago, and we’re currently in the fine-tuning stage. Visually, everything looks fantastic and we’ve received very positive feedback so far. Throughout the build, Llyod’s team worked smoothly with our own. 

How did Lloyds Design perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management style was good. Communication could be complicated at times, especially regarding tracking or making changes. We had weekly calls with their team to go through what was being worked on and what needed attention, as well as the timeline projections. We also communicated via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lloyds offered great ideas and presented solutions we hadn’t considered. The team is hands-on, and they’re experts in their field—they really know what they’re talking about. They’re a fresh, young, good-spirited team that wants to move forward. Their skill sets are impressive. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could benefit from improving their project management, specifically regarding communication.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Communicate often and have frequent alignment calls for a smoother process.

I am the IT manager at a national professional organization for dentists. We are the national voice for dentistry dedicated to the promotion of optimal oral health, an essential component of general health, and to the advancement and leadership of a unified profession.

We had an outdated app that needed custom extensions developed for the ShoutEm platform. We also wanted to update the look and feel of the app and standardize it for phones and tablets.

We wanted to pull content from a database and give the look a modern look and feel.

We had meetings to discuss the current app and the steps required to develop a new app for publication on a newer platform. Once we defined our needs, we then created a project timeline and budget.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We are currently publishing the app so we do not have any KPIs yet.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Lloyd's was easy to work with and available throughout the life of the project. The majority of communication was via email with video conferences scheduled when required.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

As with most projects, we changed the scope and added requests after the start of the project. The team was helpful with any scope changes and requests, going out of their way to make sure we were happy.

Nothing I can think of.

I’m the managing director for RealCom Broadcast Ltd. We provide resources to the satellite broadcast industry. We’re currently developing broadcast opportunities in alternate markets using mobile apps.

I needed to hire an external resource to develop an app to promote local businesses, events, and promotions.

What were your goals for this project?

I wanted to create an app for multiple clients and users. It should have claim/validate and purchasing functionality, along with location-relevant information.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

I selected Lloyds Design after researching several vendors. I started the project with a freelance team, but they weren’t focused enough on the creative process. We had an initial introduction on Skype, and then I traveled to Croatia to meet the team. I was impressed by their hunger to develop their business in the industry.

Describe the project in detail.

I started by giving them the basic specifications and Visio workflows. We discussed the guidelines and functionality required of the app. They established a cloud documentation tool so that any work on project synopsis documents could be edited and commented by all parties. Both teams discussed and commented on design, screens, and color schemes via cloud collaboration. Lloyds Design used Laravel PHP framework, MySQL database, and hosted on AWS using S3, EC2, and RDS products from the AWS suite in their development of the app. 

What was the team composition?

I worked with a designer, a backend developer, a UI/UX developer, and several other members of their team.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The finished product fulfilled all my expectations and specifications. Deployment has started but is very much in its infancy in terms of the number of downloads. Lloyds Design’s expertise was essential in overcoming any problems or challenges. They were also able to provide useful advice on efficiencies in design, workflow, and the user & client experience. 

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The whole project flowed seamlessly. I had set expectations on regular communication throughout the project, which was a critical factor in the success of this project from conception to delivery. We had weekly communication, as well as when required and occasionally outside of business hours. I always had the information I required from the members of the team who were working on each phase of the project.

Lloyds Design was positive in every meeting, helpful in offering new ideas, and receptive to changes. Any issues were quickly addressed. They’re honest and candid with respect to what could realistically be achieved. Their commitment to a "we will make this happen" approach helped develop trust in their capabilities and deliverables. 

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their openness and honesty were so impressive. Lloyds Design had the drive to achieve the best possible outcome of the project. They desired to build something, not only that I would be proud to own, but they would be pleased to create.

No. If anything, I’d like to see more of this company in the UK.

Lloyds digital has successfully integrated our web and web shop. Since then, we've seen an increased demand for our products and purchases through the web shop. Moreover, the site is beautifully designed, exudes warmth, and shows the authenticity of the brand. The web shop has been reviewed, and the photos on the web are strategically arranged.

Lloyds digital's project team is simply fantastic. They're a young and enthusiastic team with whom we feel very comfortable working. All aspects of the project have been delivered within the agreed time frame. We communicate via in-person meetings, virtual meetings, and email or messaging apps.

I’m the president of MS TIM Croatia, a non-profit association for people living with multiple sclerosis (MS). We operate across Croatia through projects such as MS Walk, MS Talk, MS Pilates, and the MS TIM app. Our organization promotes active living, community support, and public awareness about MS.

We chose Lloyds digital after following their work and projects for some time. We also met members of their team through other business activities outside the nonprofit sector, where we got to know them personally. Their ideas, enthusiasm, and genuine motivation impressed us, especially their desire to support people living with MS. Our goal was to work with a team that would approach the development of our app not just as a project or business task, but with a sincere commitment to helping the MS community.The main goal was to develop an app that would help people living with MS manage their daily health routines more easily. This included tracking therapies, setting reminders for medical appointments and treatments, and enabling users to record their symptoms. One of the key objectives was to support the early recognition of possible relapses through regular symptom tracking. Achieving this required significant effort, knowledge, and many conversations with people living with MS to truly understand the 'disease with a thousand faces' and translate those insights into a practical and user-friendly application.

Lloyds digital is responsible for the full development of the MS TIM app, including concept development, UX/UI design, technical architecture, and the implementation of all key functionalities. Together, we’ve worked on features such as therapy tracking, reminders for medical appointments and treatments, and the ability for users to record symptoms to help identify potential relapses early.Throughout the project, their team has been highly engaged, contributing additional ideas and improvements that have helped shape the app into a more practical and user-friendly tool for people living with MS. Even after the initial launch, they continue to support us in refining existing features and developing new functionalities as the app evolves.Lloyds digital has also handled the complete technical development of the project. This includes backend development, database structure, data security, and the overall technical architecture behind the MS TIM app. Given that the app involves sensitive health-related information, ensuring a high level of data protection and user privacy is extremely important. Their team has also worked on integrating the necessary systems to enable notifications, reminders, and smooth functionality of the app. In practice, they’ve managed the entire technical infrastructure behind the application.

The main objective of the project is to create a practical digital tool that supports people living with MS in managing their daily health routines. The growing number of users and the positive feedback from the MS community confirm that the app is fulfilling this goal. For many users, the ability to track therapies, record symptoms, and receive reminders for treatments and medical appointments has become a valuable support in their everyday lives.While we don’t currently run detailed analytics due to limited resources — MS TIM Croatia is a nonprofit organization run mostly by volunteers — we can still see clear indicators of impact. Since its launch, the app has reached more than 1,000 downloads on Android, with additional users on iOS, and the number continues to grow steadily. More importantly, we receive direct feedback from people living with MS who use the app to track therapies, record symptoms, and manage their daily health routines. For us, the real success of the project is that the app has become a practical support tool for the MS community.We regularly receive feedback directly from users during our community gatherings and MS TIM events. Many people tell us that the app has become a very helpful tool in their daily lives. One feature they particularly value is the ability to track their symptoms over time and then share that information with their doctor. Before a medical appointment, users can export and send their data directly from the app via email, which helps doctors see a clear overview of their condition since the last visit. Many users say that without the app, they would probably forget many of the symptoms they experienced between check-ups.Overall, we’re very satisfied with the results and the impact the app has had on our community. For people living with MS, having a simple digital tool that helps them monitor their health and communicate more effectively with their doctors can make a real difference in everyday life. We hope to continue developing and improving the app in the future as the needs of the MS community evolve.

Lloyds digital has demonstrated very strong and professional project management throughout the entire collaboration. Communication has been clear, structured, and proactive, and their team is always well-organized and responsive. Deliverables have been consistently on time and according to the agreed timeline. In fact, in several phases, we’ve been the ones causing delays due to our internal capacity limits, as MS TIM Croatia is a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization. The Lloyds digital team has shown great patience and flexibility, supporting us throughout the process and adapting to our pace when needed.Our primary forms of communication have been in-person meetings and emails or messaging apps.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What has impressed us the most is their genuine commitment to the project. For Lloyds digital, this isn’t a typical commercial project, and the time and expertise they’ve invested could certainly have been used on projects that were far more financially rewarding. Despite that, they’ve approached our initiative with the same level of dedication, professionalism, and attention as if it were a major commercial engagement. Their team truly believes in the purpose of the project and the importance of supporting people living with MS, and that commitment continues as they still support the further development of the app today.

Honestly, we don’t feel there’s anything significant they could have done better. From our perspective, the Lloyds digital team has given their full commitment to the project from the very beginning. They’ve been proactive, professional, and genuinely invested in helping us create a meaningful tool for people living with MS. Considering that we’re a nonprofit organization run mostly by volunteers, they’ve also shown a great deal of patience and understanding throughout the process.

Lloyds digital supported us through the full development cycle of the implementation tool. We first mapped and documented our implementation processes. Based on that, we defined user roles and permissions and jointly designed the main features and workflows.Then, they prepared UX/UI concepts and an initial prototype, which we iteratively reviewed and improved. Afterward, they developed the first working version of the solution. We tested it in real scenarios, provided feedback, and continued refining it together until we reached a stable, functional tool ready for deployments and customer onboarding.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Although the tool was not deployed to production, the project still produced clear and valuable outcomes. Our implementation process was already well structured, but through this project, we were able to formalize it further, document it in detail, and translate it into a digital workflow.The prototype allowed us to simulate real implementation scenarios and validate our assumptions in practice. We identified process gaps, clarified responsibilities and user roles, and confirmed which functionalities would actually support the teams during onboarding. As a result, we gained a validated process model and a tested solution concept. The project improved internal alignment, reduced uncertainty in future development decisions, and gave us a solid, well-defined foundation for scaling implementations and customer onboarding in the future.
