We were looking for an offshore team to help reduce costs from the UK base we currently had. They have a robust project management structure with product owners who understand our deliverables for our clients.

Projects usually started with scoping documents identifying the clients requirements. This was then reviewed by the project team to plan and cost. From this we would then define timelines and delivery milestones. Once agreed the team would begin dependant on the scale of the project Linksture would utilise Basecamp and or Asana to help manage the overall project.

Over the years we have communicated directly with approximately six of the Linksture team.

The Linksture team have delivered many web development projects for us.

We had daily communications via Skype in the early days moving to Slack as time moved on. The Linksture team have very strong project management skills making use of multiple Project management platforms.

Communication is probably the strongest point for Linksture, they are very good at defining deliverables and then reiterate and push back on these as a project develops.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Linksture are very open and often after projects have completed we have had retrospective discussions to identify opportunities for improvements.

I am the CEO of BAD NORWEGIAN, a cosmetics manufacturer. We sell and distribute cosmetic products.

We needed help with Magento 2 web development. Our webpage had multiple issues with integrations between different Magento 2 modules. Additionally, the Magento page’s coding setup was making the site not function properly.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Initially, we provided LinkSture with access to our code. They did a full review of our entire website, including all of the different codings we had done throughout the years. Based on what they found, they made recommendations on what to do. Then, their programmers recoded the site in order to make it function properly. After that main project, LinkSture worked on two more projects with us, but those were simpler projects focused on solving new issues that arose from version and software changes.

LinkSture’s project management was very good. They delivered within the estimated timeframes, and they were also timely in their responses. Given that they are based in a different country, their holidays are different from ours. Thus, some tasks took a bit longer when we came across their holidays. Still, they always completed the projects according to the established deadlines. We used email to communicate with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

LinkSture was trustworthy from the beginning — something hard to achieve when working with other companies without knowing their ethical background. Essentially, we hired them solely on the recommendation we received, but we were pleased to discover that they delivered quality work on time. An example of their ethical work was the last two projects we worked on. They just needed to make some updates, so they used the minimum hours required and charged us only for that time.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. The services for which we used them were good.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be specific about what you need to be done, and they will use their technical expertise in Magento 2 to figure out how to do it. They always found the technical solutions for our challenges.

We needed an eCommerce website, but also a custom solution to integrate with out in-house POS system, multiple data feeds, etc. Then, we needed a simple CMS with layers of permissions to allow for use by different team members.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

After working in the internet space for more than a decade, I knew what I was looking for. I asked for referrals, did my homework, and ran a couple test projects before jumping into the big kahuna. Deciding factors were correspondence, ability, breadth of experience, and cost. Although Linksture is very reasonable, cost I have found to be one of my last concerns. If my other criteria are met, cost takes care of itself. I have found it much more expensive to choose the wrong provider.

This would take to long. We had multiple custom solutions, and then they were updated multiple times as our in-house technology changed. Linksture has been there for every iteration. I'm very pleased with their work and ability.

Just a few. I knew multiple people worked on the project, but my correspondence was primarily with my Project Manager unless someone else was brought on for specific solutions brainstorming sessions.

Well, the measurable is a well-functioning system that made us a lot of money over they years and I didn't have to spend a lot of time thinking about it. Linksture is top-notch.

Correspondence was primarily via email. I believe they had a project dashboard but being the needy CEO I am, I just reached out when I needed something and they took care of it. Often I would connect them with someone else on my team and things just got handled. Again, what I appreciate is that it was easy and I could focus on something else.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Pride. It is clear to me that LinkSture Technologies Private Limited team members take extreme pride in the work they do. The make sure it's done right and that I was happy with the outcome. I have had trouble finding that level of commitment with US-Based developers.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only challenge I experienced was the same I have always experienced with overseas developers, the off-hours. To me, that is an extremely small price to pay for the level of service and deliverables we have received over the years.

The time difference can be an issue. They work late to try and account for this, but there remains the possibility for issues later in the day.

Communication skills, they were proactive in finding the most suitable solution to any issues that arose that had not been planned for.

There were some minor details like some outdated CSS that needed updating, but this was flagged and fixed right away.

Lots of Americans are very cautious about having never speaking to a company and then giving them full control of their site. So a personalized touch in customer service may get them, even more business (if they even need it).
