We came to Lemonlight wanting to create something different and attention grabbing that would very clearly show why we are the leader in our space and the superior choice. The idea was to have big, exciting, fast-changing visuals with ASMR aspects to capture the viewer while they were educated on what sets Deterra apart from everyone else. The key deliverable was one 30 second video doing just that followed by several ratio aspect alternations for social use.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We received excellent feedback from our sales rep on the video and how well it solved the gap in effectively explaining how we are different and why it's importnant. We also received positive feedback from people at tradeshows commenting on how great the video was.

The team did an excellent job communicating with use, meeting deadlines, listening to our ask and transforming it into something bigger, and efficiently completing edits. Everyone was so friendly to us, and they are very talented at what they do. The convenience of everything made this route a no brainer and we were so happy with the end result.

I would say the convenience of its business model and ability to scale yet provide boutique-level, expert service!

Not much, really! Possibly adding on just one more round into the intial plan beause I believe we went over very slightly but they were super accommodating.

The overall responsiveness, professionalism, patience, care, flexibility, and high quality have been consistent and thorough from the onboarding through post-production process.

 I am VERY satisfied with the overall process, my experience working with your team, and the final video asset that was created aligned with our evolved vision for the video that is now ready for distribution. Are there any areas for improvement or something Lemonlight could have done differently?

Stronger alignment with Amazon and the Lemonlight team in the very beginning to understand what the video will be used for and process for production day consent forms (and the legalities around this) are the only constructive areas that I’d like to share for areas of growth.

ICONIC is a protein centric CPG company that produces high-quality protein beverages, powders, and coffees. I am the VP of Commercialization, so I focus on innovation, marketing and sales (retail and ecomm).

While our protein shakes are getting a lot of traction on Amazon, our powders are not. We needed a concise video explaining the benefits of our powders and needed a sponsored video to test on Amazon.

We chose Lemonlight because they came recommended to us from someone in our network, they were within our budget and promised a fast timeline.

I connected with Pedro the entire way, from my goals, we developed a script and chose stock images that conveyed the brand image. We made sure that the script was in the brand tone and voice and had several revisions. Once the script was nailed down, I was able to chose my VO and it was all put together!

I worked with Pedro and the feedback process was GREAT! Often times he was waiting for me and we would have completed the project much sooner if it wasn't for my delay.

Very hands on, but not overly aggressive. They want to do a good job, but are okay if you need some time to process and work on the feedback. Timeline goals were met and Pedro would have gotten it in before the due date if it wasnt for me.

I work with a lot of agencies and Lemon light is probably one of the most communicative and diligent companies out there.

We were focusing on one of our most prominent brands and wanted to create a TV commercial for the Canadian market.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lemonlight provides us with video production services. For our first project, they helped us plan, then produced a live-action TV commercial for us. The team provided their own equipment and studios and handled the video editing and audio mixing. Next, they'll help us with four more video projects. 

What is the team composition?

We work with 4–5 teammates from Lemonlight. Our main points of contact have been Don (In-House Producer) and Lauren (Senior Account Executive). 

How did you come to work with Lemonlight?

Our VP of marketing discovered them, had an introductory meeting with them, and saw some of their past work. He sent their information to me because I have very high expectations when we partner with a third party. 

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent over $25,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in September 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They've just wrapped the production of the first video, so we haven't seen any direct results from the final product yet. In terms of our experience with them and their service, Lemonlight has provided very high-quality video and a speedy timeframe — those are great metrics for us. Although I'm usually skeptical when working with a new partner, their whole team has been super respectful and professional from the beginning.

How did Lemonlight perform from a project management standpoint?

They're amazing at project management. With the TV commercial, they understood that we needed them to deliver in a rush, which isn't easy. They mapped the timeline and expectations and had a detailed sheet on what we needed to deliver and when to keep the project on track.

They've communicated in a way that has kept us in the loop of every important detail. We always have a window of communication open with them. The team is always available and clear when answering our questions. As for tools, our initial meeting was on Zoom; since then, we've mainly communicated via email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Lemonlight really delivers the experience they promise, which is hard to do in this line of work. Whatever they commit to, I believe they'll do. This trust is a huge testament to the quality and efficiency of the work they do and the people on their team. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

While I usually have feedback for providers, Lemonlight has surpassed my expectations; they've been a dream to work with. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Their initial conversation to outline the project expectations is a good first step, and I love that Lemonlight does that. The team's onboarding process makes everything seamless, so I'd advise following their instructions. Moreover, I'd suggest paying attention to the documents they put together because there's a lot of helpful information that will help you keep the project at the right pace.

What challenge were you trying to address with Lemonlight?

We needed to create a product video for our Amazon e-commerce channel.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Lemonlight provided us with video production services to help build our brand assets for Amazon. After sharing our product samples with the team, they reviewed our product and started searching for talent. Although Lemonlight was responsible for recruiting and screening the talent, we ultimately had the final say on which models to cast for the shoot. 

Once we ironed out the cast, Lemonlight produced a 15–20 second video as the final deliverable. We went through a final round of approval and uploaded the video to our Amazon e-commerce channel.

We primarily worked with Nick (Video Producer). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with Lemonlight between August–September 2022.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Lemonlight delivered a high-quality product and I was happy with the end result. 

How did Lemonlight perform from a project management standpoint?

We were satisfied with how smoothly Lemonlight managed our collaboration. The project was postponed several times due to internal delays, but Lemonlight worked efficiently, and our project delays didn’t have any negative impact on our business. We had 1–2 calls, but we mainly communicated via email to share comments and provide clarifications as needed. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’d worked with other service providers before, and Lemonlight ranked well among our partners. Overall, they did a good job. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Since this was our first project with Lemonlight, it took time to adjust to each other's working styles, but that would be the only area for improvement.

We wanted a short video that captured the richness of the teacher professional learning that we offer, to use for recruitment and publicity

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at three different companies. We felt Lemonlight were reasonably priced for the quality of product they offered.

We started with some online surveys on what were looking for, then had a meeting to discuss details. We then planned the different pieces to capture on the filming days, followed by product delivery and several rounds of editing and tweaking.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

We worked closely with a producer throughout who was very communicative and flexible to our needs, then local film crews on the filming days.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

All our project staff were thrilled with the video - it really captured what we were looking for, even though we weren't sure at first! Everyone has had quite an emotional response to the final video!

All the online tools were extremely helpful, from calendar tools to annotating edits in the video. The management style was friendly and modern, but still disciplined and very organized.

This video was shown to several key individuals from the state level who had the authority to decide whether our initiative would receive grant funding. Our presentation was the best one compared to the others who presented. Video production was set in motion according to schedule. We regularly communicated via Zoom and email as needed.

They stayed on top of deadlines and were efficient communicators via Zoom and email. They always took the initiative to reach out without us having to wonder about the progress of the video.

Their overall marketing is unique and very eye-catching. They have a great team as well.

It is always nice to meet someone in person. But they were great virtual communicators.

We wanted a short video that showcases the products our company offers.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I received 3 bids and although the prices were close the rapport with the Lemonlight team was my deciding factor.

We had a few preliminary phone meeting to discuss what we were looking for in terms of content. We shot the raw footage in one day over a 4-hour period. We went back and forth with edit changes a few times until we were satisfied with the finial result.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with Danny and Trent . Both were very professional and the communication process was very efficient. During the editing sessions Trent was very patient, listened to our thoughts and concerns and did a good job of getting us a good finished product.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our first application for this video will be to have it embedded on our website. The site is very close to being finalized so I do not have any feedback for you on this matter right now.

Project management style was efficient. Emails and calls were returned promptly time lines and deadlines were met within reasonable time frames.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their efficiency and patience during the editing process were impressive. We had quite a few back and forth with changes and they were always met with patience and a can do attitude.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our senior graphic designer felt that the equipment used to film the raw footage could have been of better quality. He feels the crispness of the images is a little lacking and he credits that to the equipment.

I am the marketing director for an international e-commerce brand. We provide sexual health and wellness products for men in the LGBTQ+ community.

Our supplements and products are created for a niche market of LGBTQ+ men so we needed video that mixed cheeky messaging with educational information. The goal was to product a fun and short information video on how the product works.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were looking for production companies that were Hulu partners. Pricing and availability were the two deciding factors.

The LL team set up a intro call and a creative kickoff to get the project started. The worked with out team to learn more about the brands products and voice. From there there were able to move the storyboarding and scripting. They provided a detailed timeline of events and deliverables which helped set expectations for our team.

We worked closely with the producer and director to create the outline or the project. Overall the team stuck to the timeline but there were a few instances where communication was delayed.

We used the video in a retail pitch and was able to secure contracts with two big box retailers in the US.

The thing that i found my impressive about this company is the level of professionalism and passion for the projects.

I'm the CEO and founder of a music products business. We've invented a guitar-assist device that allows anyone to play the guitar.

For what projects/services did your company hire Lemonlight, and what were your goals?

We hired Lemonlight to shoot and produce a crowdfunding video for our company's product to help us in persuading potential backers to crowdfund our product.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had heard of Lemonlight through LaunchBoom, which I was already following and planning on hiring. Because I trusted LaunchBoom, when they recommended Lemonlight and then offered a 30% discount to work with them, I decided to take the offer.

I had an introduction video call with Danny and then a kickoff call with Don. I explained what I was looking for in the video. Don then sent me a call sheet which described the overall form the video shoot would take. I made some edits to it, and then I decided to construct my own storyboard for the video. Don was very open to this and updated the call sheet accordingly.

On the day of the shoot, I was very impressed with the professionalism and expertise of both the videographer and the grip. They directed all the actors very well and the shoot flowed very smoothely. We were able to do all the shots that I had planned to do. About a week after the shoot, Lemonlight shared the 1st draft of the video. I was very impressed with the quality and everyone I shared it with was also very impressed.

After sharing my feedback over the course of a few weeks, we finalized the final version of the videos (one 90s and two 30s).

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked with a project manager, the video grapher and the grip. The feedback process was via frame.io online and also via email with the project manager.

Initial reactions to the video have been overwhelming positive and very encouraging!

The project manager was very easy to work with and provided very prompt responses and frequent updates.

I was very impressed with the quality of the videographer and the grip. I was also impressed with the attention to detail of all aspects of the video production, as well as the prompt responses from the project manager.

Overall I was very pleased with the experience.
