I'm the Public Relations and Content Director at Commercial Laundries. We service multi-housing properties with laundry equipment.

We wanted to create a commercial that showcased what we do and how we can improve a property's laundry facility. We wanted to have a visual representation that we can have playing at tradeshows. We hired Lemonlight because they showed the most variety on animation styles and what we were looking for.

I browsed vendors on Google search and spoke with around four different companies before deciding on Lemonlight. I chose them because of their variety of animation styles and how great they were to talk to!

We started with an initial meeting to go over the vision. I worked with Pedro throughout the way and he created a very exact timeline of when I would receive scripts, storyboards, first cuts, and my final edit. Each was on time, if not early! It was a very smooth process.

Pedro! He was GREAT. I honestly felt like I was working with a best friend, even though I have never met him in person. His feedback was so supportive during the process. I always felt like I could trust him and our work was in smart hands.

Pedro was super easy to talk to and always was prompt with his response time. I was never left feeling like I needed clarity on any aspect of the project. He was very detailed with each meeting and the timeline hardcopy he sent me.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How quick their team was to change and edit my requests on the animation styles and script! It was always taken care of so seamlessly. Their work ethic exceeded my expectations.

I have nothing to bad to report!

For what projects/services did your company hire Lemonlight, and what were your goals?

We used Lemonlight to create a 2 minute explainer video about our company, product, and vision.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

The co-founder actually got a marketing email from Lemonlight, which he forwarded on to me.  I evaluated Lemonlight along with two other competitors and picked Lemonlight due to their pricepoint and ease of communication with the salesperson.

I was very impressed with the process.  This is the first video production I've ever been involved with and I was initially worried that the subject matter of the video would be too complicated and hard to easily explain to the video production company, but I was proven wrong. 

Lemonlight has a great project where they first get information about your company and what information you want to convey in the video.

Next, they came back with a script that I felt did a terrific job explaining our company and product. Of course, with feedback from the co-founders, we tweaked it a little, but Lemonlight provided a very strong starting point.

After the script, they came the storyboard draft. We had a few revisions and gave feedback on the types of stock footage and animation that made sense with the script.

Following the storyboard process, we received a first draf of the video. We requested they modify some of the animations and gave feedback that the stock footage should be more modern (so for example, show newer model cars) and be more obviously in the US (for example, footage of streets should reflect American road signage).  This was the most challenging part, through no fault of Lemonlight since we had very specific type of stock footage needed to explain our product.

I worked with Pedro and he made the entire process manageable, especially given we were on a rushed timeline. He took feedback very constructively and was very accomodating to changes we requested.

The outcome of the project was a professional quality explainer video. We've already posted it on Youtube, and once we update our company website, we'll post it there too! We plan on sharing the video with anyone who wants to know about our company and what we do, since the concept of our software is pretty complicated.

Very structured project management style which I appreciated. This reduced the chances of miscommunication since everything was step by step. Communication was direct and straight forward -- Pedro earned my trust! Any time my feedback left him with questions, he asked to talk to me to make sure he understood! I love this! Saves so much time in the long run to clear things up by direct communication! 

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The step-by-step nature of the development really impressed me in that it made something I thought would be very difficult much more maneagable, in bite size pieces of deliverables and feedback. The communication and turnaround time was excellent and I always felt that our company's project mattered.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Maybe ask ahead of time in more detail the type of stock footage we desired.

The videos were shot at our warehouse with a local crew sourced by Lemonlight and then edited by Lemonlight after that.

We worked with the crew and then editors and the account manager. Process was smooth.

Deliverables were 10 video cuts in different lengths and formats including a 90 second+ clip.

We were tasked by our partner NVIDIA to create a video ad for our Back to School Campaign showcasing our G5 laptop and NVIDIA graphics.

SOLUTION

We had worked with Lemonlight about 6 months prior for another NVIDIA video ad and we liked their work and wanted to work with them again.

The best thing was they found ways to work within the allotted budget and completion date. The creative call helps a lot

I received an email and spoke with the company.

They interviewed some of our employees about their experiences working here. Then, they edited the video and sent us the first version. We put in our comments and they edited it until we received the final product.

I worked with an account executive to tell them my idea. Then I worked with a producer to tell them our vision of the video. Another producer stepped in while the first one was on vacation.

We needed to produce 4 15 second videos for our social media channels.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Our digital marketing agency selected Lemon Light. We weren't participating in the selection process.

Initially, we approved the scripts. Videos and photos were shot at the location in Inglewood. Later, they were retouched and finalized with animation and on screen text until got an approval from our team.

Videos and photos came pout great and we are really satisfied with the outcome.

Communication tool was easy to use and comment within. Timelines were met as planned. Besides the shoot itself took a little longer than expected.

Professionalism. They were extremely professional at every step of the way, and it showed among all the team members we were lucky to work with.

Not really, I wish we didn't have a timeline misunderstanding. But next time, we all will be better prepared and informed.
