In Compensa Vienna Insurance Group I am the Sales Director. We are an insurance company offering full property and property insurance - transport, property, purchase, travel and accident insurance. Insurance services are provided for both private and business clients.

For what projects/services did your company hire Leaware, and what were your goals?

Application for calculating insurance needs made for Compensa S.A. Application is available on all platforms without having to install any applications on users computer.

The main challenge was to implement the application at a record pace. We used PWA technology to build a solution that does not need to be installed on mobile devices.

Our goal was to provide agents and clients with an easy tool for independently generating an insurance offer and simulating the amount of rates.

We were looking for a company that would implement this project for us. Leaware was recommended to me by a friend who had previously had the pleasure of implementing a project with the Leaware team.

Leaware gathered requirements from us and prepared an attractive offer. We signed a contract and started working!

Leaware has prepared a web application for us using PWA technology. Thanks to this, the application was also available on mobile devices, it adjusted to any screen resolution and was fully responsive.

The work on the solution lasted 6 months and during this time we managed to develop and implement a working solution that met our needs and business goals.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The application can be used at: https://fioonline.pl/ Thanks to the implemented solution, the number of inquiries about various types of insurance increased. Customers are satisfied that they can easily generate offers and download them in PDF format.

The project was divided into stages. We were in constant contact with the Leaware team and were kept informed about the state of our project. Leaware held weekly telephone meetings where we discussed progress.

Great specialists work at Leaware. They offer not only technological support but also willingly share their knowledge and business experience. This is a partner you can trust.

I don't see any areas for improvement.

I am the founder of a startup focuding on event ticket sales solutions.

For what projects/services did your company hire Leaware, and what were your goals?

We neede to integrate our existing event ticket sales solutions to the event listing ecosystem of a major Finnish media company. Also our existing solution is developed by Leaware. The goal was to modify the solution and transfer from app-centric solution to browser-centric, as well as to answer the existing and future needs of the media company.

Choosing Leaware was a natural choice, since the existing solution is developed by Leaware and the cooperations has went well.

We started by delivering Leaware specifications in written format and layouts. Leaware then came back with questions and work estimate. After that Leaware created BDD scenarios and asked us to verify them. The development has been organized mostly in 1 week sprints. The deliverable is a web-based solution including event listing and ticket buying for consumers, event management for event organizers, moderation portal for editors and app-basd ticket scanners.

CTO was involved at the start of the project. In the project we have had a project manager and 2-4 developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Partly due to the fact there has been the other party – the media company – involved, the project has exceeded the schedule and budget. Also, both us and Leaware under-evaluated the project scope a little at the beginning. However, the results are of high quality, and the media company is also happy.

The communication mostly works fine with fas response times. We use Slack as an everyday communication channel and Teams for face-2-face meetings. There have been some communication challenges among the development team due to the corona situation, which has created some communication blocks. Their overall spirit of solving all issues is good.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Fluent communication and value for money.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We would appreciate faster communication and transparency in situations when a delay is expected.

I’m a project manager for INNOMOS International. We’re part of INNOMOS GmbH, and our head office is in Germany. I’m working from Kiev, Ukraine.

Our main project with Leaware has been developing a cross-platform app for Android and iOS. Our customer is a manufacturer of industrial equipment that needed an app for a new product they were launching.

We’ve worked with 4–5 developers from Leaware overall, but we’ve been using a single developer since October 2019.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Leaware in September 2019, and we’re within the final stages of the project now.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t keep KPIs for their team. We just look at whether or not they’re able to deliver features and iterations. The fact that we’re continuing to work with Leaware is an indicator that we’re satisfied.

How did Leaware perform from a project management standpoint?

We’ve mostly used Slack for text communication and conference calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They manage the process well, and they’re open to providing ideas and solutions. I feel that they care about what we’re developing.

Are there any areas they could improve?

It’s hard to say because we could improve our internal processes as well.

Making a good plan and setting target dates is important in order to book the correct resources from Leaware.

I am an ecomerce marketing manager at Kontigo, a company belonging to the Euro Cash group. We sell high-quality cosmetics for make-up, face and body care. We have an online store and a network of stationary stores throughout Poland.

We wanted to create an online application for our customers that would allow them to visualize the make-up effect before purchasing the products. We wanted each client to be able to put the selected product on her face and check the final effect using augmented reality filters.

Our goal was to create a tool that will distinguish us from the competition and, as a result, increase the online sales of our cosmetics.

We met at one of the IT supplier fair. At the stand, Leaware presented a cognitive booth that recognized the age, gender and mood of visitors. We started talking about what our companies do and how Leaware can help with ur bussines goals. Leaware met our requirements in great detail and presented an attractive offer.

They prepared the AR mobile application, which allowed customers to choose and apply a make-up effect chosen by our team, and to recommend other matching products. The application identified the features of the client's face: eye color, hair color, skin color, and then recommended matching products from the base.

We provided the Leaware team with a photo of the makeup that we want to put on our clients' faces. They made a 3D mask out of it, which could then be applied to the face of the application user.

5 people worked on the project. AR developer, Project Manager, Graphic Designer, Business Analyst and CTO.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The solution is still being tested. We test it on a group of our associates and check its capabilities. We want to refine the product so that in the future we can develop it and introduce it to other platforms: website, intelligent kiosks in stationary stores. The app provided by Leaware is a great start to large-scale concept development

While developing the app, we had weekly phone calls with the project manager and the rest of the team. We discussed the progress of work and solved problems together. We were very well informed about everything. We knew what the delay was caused and what we had to deliver.

Relationships and great support with knowledge. The Leaware team responded quickly to our feed back and made changes flexibly. We felt that we were working together on the project as one team composed of members of two companies.

They always had our business goal in mind, advised us based on their experience and shared valuable knowledge as experts.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The Leaware team is not afraid of challenges. Could they have done something different? Nothing comes to mind!

Our target was to launch stable versions of our apps for Android and iOS with a certain number of functionalities previously defined by us.

We have been facing an increasing number of downloads of our app and each feature we release we are conscious that it increases our value proposition.

Communication and workflow planning with Leaware has been excellent. We feel they are our (internal) development team.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

In our experience, Leaware not only performs required tasks but also presents a very comprehensive knowledge about our business. Together we have great business discussing and together we align the most effective way to achieve our company targets.

Leaware accepted the challenge of overtaking the project from another company with whom we did not experienced good results. We should have started this cooperation before.

I’m was the co-founder and project manager of Atendi.care, a healthcare SaaS platform in Belgium that connects healthcare providers and patients.

What challenge were you trying to address with Leaware?

Since we were a startup, we weren’t planning to hire software development people in-house. We quickly made the choice to outsource the whole software development process.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were our software development partner. They also helped us to better define the needs of our users which was an additional value that they delivered to us.

I had previous contacts with them at another job. We saw the results of their work and they seemed to be a very good partner which is the reason we chose them.

We worked together from January 2014–December 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We were very pleased with the quality of work that they delivered. It wasn’t easy since we were a startup. In the beginning, it took some time to find out what our customers wanted as a solution. We appreciated Leaware’s flexibility in the process.

How did Leaware perform from a project management standpoint?

We had very close communication. For six months, we were collaborating daily to get the product launched. We had daily Skype calls. We worked in a scrum methodology. There was continuous communication between us and their development team in Poland. We had cameras on all day as if they were sitting next to us. We sometimes traveled to Poland to visit the team which I believe is important to do to build a relationship.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re used to working with companies that aren’t in their country. They do a lot of nearshore development and you can tell that they’re used to it. They’re used to all modern communication techniques to connect with their customers. This is sometimes not the case with technical vendors. 

They have a wide variety of skillsets covered from UX design and graphic design, to back- and frontend development. They're a multi-skilled company. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No. They were fast learning. I don’t have any criticism towards them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When you work with a nearshore development company, communication is key. You can’t just send over the specifications and have them come back three weeks later with a part developed. You have to have continuous communication with them and oblige them to do that. In the beginning, they realized we needed to communicate on a daily basis. Once you get that in place, everything goes smoothly.

We were looking for Poland based company. We did the market research. After reading reviews and opinions, after checking the skills of proposed developers, we've chosen Leaware. They had also very possitive feedback from their current client’s and partners.

Leaware developers were involved in all project phases, starting from analysis, and design through development and delivering applications to the stores with further maintenance and improvements. Leaware was able to keep the tight schedule regardless of their small team without fixed allocation. Also project faced some unexpected changes that affected the scope and required more work that originally reserved. This also was managed well and targets were reached.

There were some challenges in the beginning with changes in people, knowledge transfer and documentation. However issues were solved.
