Please describe your company and your position there.

Penny Hydraulics design, manufacture, install and service lifting equipment for a range of different industries.

Our main product ranges fit into 5 divisions:  

• Vehicle Mounted Lifting Equipment
• Goods Lifts
• Lighitng Winch Systems
• Nuclear Decommissioning
• Hydraulic Servicing / Tyre Press.

I am the Marketing Manager, I work with the Senior Management Team to raise the profile of the business, manage the brand and increase lead generation.

For what projects/services did your company hire Langley Foxall Ltd.?

We worked with Langley Foxall to create the Configurator - an online tool which helps our customers to find the correct lifting solution for their requirements.

What were your goals for this project?

Our product range can be confusing and daunting for new customers. We wanted to remove the barriers to enquiries and present our products in a more meaningful way to potential new customers.

The Configurator simplifies the product specification process by asking the customer a series of simple questions and then proposing a suitable solution. The customer can also click to request a quotation or demonstration, this improves the customer journey and is convenient to use differentiating ourselves from our competitors.

We anticipated receiving more leads via the Configurator, these leads are also qualified giving our sales team an opportunity to convert them into sales.

How did you select this vendor?

Langley Foxall were recommended to us by our Sales Director who lives in the same area. He had seen their growth and that they had won awards and suggested that we make contact to discuss how they may be able to help our business.

We have worked with Langley Foxall on a number of projects. The Configurators were designed to simplify the product specification process on our website. The convenient tool asks users a small number of simple questions and then suggests the correct lifting solution with options to find out more or request contact from our team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The Configurator has increased leads for the sales team and led to sales that we may not have received otherwise. It also differentiates our organisation from our competitors: Convenience is a big issue in digital marketing and the Configurators help to address this.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

We found working with Langley Foxall to be very easy. They agreed a 'Statement of Works' document with us delivered what was promised. There was also an opportunity to test and provide feedback before the Configurator went live - this gave us adequate time to find any bugs before launch.
